Hey All,
In preparation for my trip to London, I needed new clothes. All my business clothes just fall off me and then I feel dumpy. I was also getting tired of buying $50 pants every month. Last time I checked I wasn't independantly weathly!
So, I decided to check out a thirft store next to WW. and I just hit the jackpot. Not only was I buying size 8 and 10 :-) Yeah me... I got 4 pairs of Jones New York pants, 2 Jones shorts and an Eddie Bauer shirt for $24!!!! Now that rocks. The clerk also me heard mention that I had lost almost 50 lbs and threw in a skirt for free! Very nice man. He also told me not to give up! Trust me.. no turning back now!
I also WI today.. down 1.4 I hope and pray to keep it up while away. I will check in while I am gone to see how all of you are doing.

Take care and have a wonderful couple of week!
Elizabeth

Way to go! It's always fulfilling to go into a thrift store and pick up smaller sized clothing. It's been my plan all along the way. Spending $24 like that and it makes you feel so much better is a great way to celebrate your loss!! Keep up the good work.

My Mom and I are the Thrift Store Queens! When I'm losing weight, or even gaining weight, it's great to be able to get "temporary" clothes for so little money. When my size changes, I just re-donate them and get smaller clothes. No big deal, I'm out maybe $15.

We go to the thrift store on Sundays, when all clothes are 50% off and everything else is 30% off, when you spend $20 or more.

I have more clothes than I know what to do with, and sometimes I will just go through my closet and donate them to a fund raiser or give them to my nieces if I decide they are too young for me.

I would never again spend $50 or even $20 on a single article of clothing. Unless, of course, it's a holiday dress or something for a special occassion.
