Before I quit I thought about it for two weeks then one day I was in Walmart and just decided to buy the patch. I have decided on some great little prizes if I don' smoke. 1 week I get a new magazine, 3 weeks a book, 6 weeks a magazine, 9 weeks a pedicure (or I have the option of saving all of it for a larger prize). I made a contract with myself and my bf (to hold me accountable). So far so good I have no cravings for cigs but notcied in the beginning I was craving sweets now not even those. I did notice that I have been tired since I quit (5/22/05), feel sluggish, and like a weigh a ton. Who knows though!! Ok now I am off on a tangent. Anyway, does anyone else set mini goals?

When I quit smoking, if I was having a bad day, I would tell myself that if I felt this bad tomorrow, then I would smoke. I told myself that each day. I have now been quit for 3 l/2 years. Guess I don't feel bad anymore. As far as being tired goes, I too was tired all the time. I just went to bed earlier. Aso the gas was so bad. After reading on the quit net site, I found out that gas is a common side effect of quitting. I think mine was from deep breathing, the cut off straw I used and all the veg. and sugar free candy I was sucking on.

Keep up the good work. Sounds like your doing fine.
