View Full Version : New to CORE...... (Today is Day 1)

I posted this in the newbie area and was advised to post here as well, so here goes.

I have strayed far far away from WW over the past few months. So much so that I think I have probably regained the 12lbs that I had previously lost and then some . I am a HUGE stress eater, sugary carbs is my medicine of choice. I have been feeling really crappy from all the sugar and junk, so I awoke this morning with my sugar hangover and have decided to recommit to WW and in particular the CORE plan.

My first challenge will be dinner this evening. I eat many many meals at restaurants, business lunches, dinner out with hubby, this is my second biggest cause of failure for me.

I am going to a restaurant for dinner tonight and have no idea what to choose for my meal to stay within core and perhaps using only a small amount of flexpoints. I found their menu on the web and would apprciate any suggestions as to how to plan my core friendly meal.

Shrimp cocktail, or the mussels (any oil in the preparation?).

Salad with dressing on the side. No croutons or cheese (or count WAPs).

The roasted chicken (don't eat the skin). Ask to not have the mashed potatoes or carmelized onions. Ask for a double-helping of steamed veggies.

Same with the steak. Could they give you a "baked" potato instead~

There are some places that are almost impossible to eat Core! This, at least, has some good choices. Even when they say "grilled" there is often a way they incorporate "oils", so you need to ask and count accordingly~
