Going To The Movies On CORE

Haven't, but if I was going to go, I would order a diet coke and if I knew I might be hungry, I would sneak in some of my own pre-popped microwave popcorn!!! :) Cheaper and better..........

Great idea, Sue...I would also bring some fruit or veggies munchies. As we all know, movie watching & snacking go hand in hand!!

I love the pre-popped popcorn bag idea. :) Also, the first time I ever read about Roasted Chickpeas? The poster said it was what she took to the movies! :D

When I've gone to the movie theater unprepared for Core? I had to buy a $3 bottle of WATER... :ugh: Next time I'm going prepared~ :bcbsalute

I have a pretty big purse so I could probably sneak in the popcorn undetected. I also think the chickpeas are a good idea for snacking.

My dd and I have learned that it's possible to go to the movies without eating or drinking. Sometimes the concession line is so long we don't want to deal with it. We just make sure we don't show up hungry.

She also gets nothing if they don't have her favorite thing (ICEE, blue). Not a bad example to follow.

You're right, Nancy. I have actually eaten nothing at the movies at times, but I love water (really!) and bring my own with me. They charge like $2.50 for a little bottle at the movies.

I agree, the past times we've been lucky enough to be out that late, we usually go after a dinner, and I don't feel the NEED for anything . Plus, the only thing I hate more than paying for that big soda is having to leave the movie in the middle to go to the bathroom!!! And usually, my bladder signals at the good parts! ugh.

I always take my own airpopped popcorn and a bottle or two of water.

We take our own water, ff popcorn form home, or some little treat for the kids in a baggie. We are discreet. Once I even took my sandwich and cut up fruit because I went right from work and knew I would be hungry.

One time recently, while visiting an out of town friend, I took her 2 daughters to the movies. Before going, I made the WW version of Kettle Corn. For those of you who have never heard of this, you pop 94% FF popcorn, then spray it with ICBINB spray and sprinkle with Splenda. Her girls About 11 and 12 at the time, gobbled it up and asked me to make more every night that I was there. They loved it!

Speaking of POPCORN... ;) I've got to share my latest "best": I pop 1/3rd of a cup of kernels in 1 tsp. olive oil. (I use "refrigerated" Orville Reddenbacher kernels...need to find a cheaper alternative that pops as BIG!) and then spray on SMART BALANCE (I like it better than ICBINB, by the way~ It goes on drier, I think, so the popcorn doesn't shrivel with the spray) and then add...(da-dah) LAWRY'S SEASONED SALT (this is very fine, so it sticks AND tastes delicious on popcorn! :) )

Did I mention Ddog loves it, too?! ;) :D

We get to be such sharing creatures on Core! :angel LOL!

Thanks Carol. I'll have to try that. It sounds great. So SMAR BALANCE makes a spray??? I don't think I've heard of it. That's my one complaint with ICBINB spray is that the popcorn does get a little soggy!

Yes! I found it at Safeway~

I had the ICBINB and was pretty disappointed in the wet-popcorn-factor.

I had no idea that Smart Balance would do better, but it did. And it tastes good and it's pretty on the popcorn~ :)

also i tend to sneak my own ff popcorn in the theater as you all have said.. and the water as well no point spenidng that kinda money for summin we all already have..

Haven't done it yet (movies and core) but I would take pre-popped popcorn, buy a diet soda and/or take in the fruties they sell at ww meetings.
