Smoked my last cig...for the rest of my life. It's gonna be a challenge b/c my dh and my roommate friend are both smokers. I'll be here probably everyday for support!!! :angel

Awesome! I quit 7 months ago and was amazed that something I thought would be so difficult ended up being pretty easy. I'd smoked for almost 10 years (started when I was 16), so I thought it would be hell. But I sucked on lemon candy and used straws cut in half to suck through.....like fake cigarettes..... I would even go outside on fake smokebreaks so it wasn't a total change. You CAN do it, and there will be plenty of times when you really, really want one. But, you feel so much better and save so much more money! Be strong and break out the straws!

Take it one day at a time. I had some bad days when I first quit and wasn't sure I could make it. I smoked for 41 years. Whenever it got real bad, I would tell myself that if I felt this bad tomorrow, that I would smoke. It's been 3 1/2 years. Tomorrow came, but not the cig. If you want it bad enough, you will make it. Just stay focused and positive. Let me know if I can help.

On "normal days", I check in every day.

Way to go! I know it is hard but also know it will be well worth the struggle! Keep up the good work!
