Morning buddies! It's been a very up and down night, and now I seems I'm up again for a while! DD got very sick on the way to bed--literally! She was fine till the afternoon when she fell asleep on the couch, then she refused to eat even a bite of dinner. When she was on her way to bed at 8:00, she suddenly threw up all over herself, me, and the hallway. Fortunately, we have a new carpet cleaner. The rest came off of us in the shower, but she was wailing the whole time:sobbing: .

Of course, I didn't want to let her go to bed for a while after that, just in case, and I keep waking ever hour to check on her. My poor baby. We were going to my parents' house today, but that trip is off! I'm actually very grateful that she's getting this now, and not in 3 weeks when we're due to go on vacation! Now that would be truely horrible!

Looks like I will not be going to w/i today. DH has a follup-up eye appt at the same time, and I do not want to chance taking DD with me. Sigh.:ugh:

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Hopefully I'll see some at chat tonight!

Morning buddies

Its another dry start to the day here in the S.E. of England with temps of 6c/42f and with a low of 1c/38f over night!!

Off into town today for a few things then unsure what we'll be all up toofor the rest of the day!! DBF and his DS is here for the weekend, their feeling bit better now that the medicines have kicked in. DD is back to her normal self so she'll be going back to college/school next week.

I haven't got much walking in this week with being at work as its a small shop so I don't have to walk far. If I remember I'll take my pedometer with me next week and see how far I walk over the whole day, be nice to know!!

Sharon: I hope DD feels better soon!!

:D  :bcbsalute

May I join you on this thread? I'm doing Core, and I have about 75 lbs. to lose. I am doing WW at home.

Good morning everyone,

Happy Saturday to all!

I do not have too much going on today - I am heading to Target or BJs to pick some things up. We go through wipes like crazy here at our house! DS is already outgrowing his socks, too. It is amazing how fast they both outgrow all of their clothes.

I made another black bean soup yesterday for dinner and it was really yummy and very filling. It was a little spicy, so next time, I would probably cut down on some of the spice, but it was very tasty all the same.

Well, I hope that everyone has a great weekend! Take care,

Christine :D

Good morning Buddies,

Yes, it is kick me time! I've been 'off' in my motivation and I haven't made very good food choices this week. I've decided to start going to Monday afternoon meetings so no weigh in for me today. Saturday mornings are just too precious. :D

It is a bit nippy at 29F now - a minute ago it was 31! Brr! I'm going to go take a bath and will have to turn on the heater in the bathroom. After the bath I have plenty of craft things to keep me busy. We went shopping yesterday and while the boys played at an arcade I went to the stamp store. I also hit the scrapbooking store while they were in Target so I'm set for the day. Our satellite dish is out so I'm planning a CSI marathon to entertain me.

Sharon - I sure hope your Dd gets to feeling better - it is definitely no fun when they don't feel well.

Kitchenlabs - of course you are welcome here!!! Just look forward to a bit of goofiness at times along with some of the best support and advice you can find out in cyberspace.

Happy OP Saturday,
Karen

Morning http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_50.gif I can't believe I just got out of bed!
It looks like it's going to be a beauty of a day. Hope I can manage some time outside. Tina and her DS are coming over later on. Maybe we'll pack the boys up and hit the stores!

Well I need coffee badly....so I'll get back to you all later.

Oh I almost forgot. I didn't see a Chat reminder. Are we chatting??

Good Morning everyone:

It's a beautiful day here - supposed to go up to the 30's or higher today. Sun is out too.

Shar - Hope DD. feels better.
Kitchen - Come join us - were a great group  ;)
Caroline - Have a super day.

Didn't feel too well yesterday. Lay down at 4:30 p.m. and got up at 8 p.m. Then, went back to bed at 11 and slept almost till 9 a.m. Seem to be feeling better.

Some good news - The foundation guy phoned me before I got up this morning. I phoned back and he just left my place about 1/2 hr. ago - Sat. and all too!! He seems like a "good" guy and I do have recommendation from a trusted person so I'm on the list for the repair now. He said $500-$1,000 so that's ok. by me. Lot of the snow has gone down so he could see the foundation. It works out best here in the city if you can get someone from the small towns around - they are usually cheaper and a lot of times do better work too. So I'm pleased I'm finally on the road to getting some stuff done here.

Going out later on to the market. Think I'll get a couple pieces of fish. Then, I'm going to the Mall later on.

Hope I can get in a bit of walking too, just "walking"!

Everyone have a great day and see you on chat tonight.

Ashlee :walking: (later)

Good Morning Buddies!

I woke up at 6:15 so decided to have my first coffee outside and it shows 50; beautiful morning and looks like a nice day ahead.

DD has a 9a.m. app't to have her car serviced so I'll pick her up at the garage and come here until it's finished. I really look forward to some time alone with her!

Sharon, sounds like the flu was on it's way for your DD a few days ago already. Hopefully, she'll be back to good health very soon! Planning vacations is so much fun; I love the anticipation part of it.

Caroline, hope your family is on the road to good health too. You've had a bad winter over there, illness-wise!

Kitchenlabs, :welcome: It's always great to have a new buddy join us!

Christine, your soup sounds so good! I'm really not a soup fan but when I have a ham bone, I've got to make bean soup with it!

Karen, I hear you about food choices and with Lent coming next week, I give up eating between meals so I'm planning meals already!

I hope I can remember to check out chat tonight. With my puter running so good, I'll try to join you!

For all those who follow, have a terrific Saturday! :buddysmoo

Good news. DD made it through the night without getting sick again. I was up till she got up--around 6:00. She was hungry, so DH got up with her and she ate one mini pancake and 2 potato chips (hey, wasn't my choice). She also drank about 1/2 can sprite w/sugar, thanks to a neighbor. It's the first food in 18 hrs and seems to be enough to sustain her, so it's good by me.

Christine--O.K., here's my immature mind going--you actually have a store called BJ's?

Jan--Hope your computer makes it to chat! Otherwise we'll have to take up a collection for a new one!

Ashlee--That does sound like good news. Foundation repair makes me think thousands, so that estimate is not bad at all!

Kitchenlabs--Welcome! Does your name mean you like to cook?

Caroline--Hope to see you tonight, but don't stay up if you're not feeling well!

Sharon - glad DD is on the mend. Your story brought back memories of a very similiar situation. WhenDS was maybe 6, he was complaining of "tummy aches". All of a sudden he comes out of his room and tries to make it to the bathroom.....no way. I have never seen so much vomit come out of a person. And the more he ran the more yucky stuff came out! I just stood him in the tub and cleaned him while DH cleaned the hall!!

Jan - I hope you can make it to chat!!

Ashlee - if I didn't have company coming over I'd be right out there walking too. What a day!!! Definately tomorrow I'll be out there. Hope you feel better today.

Karen - I use to do stamping. I use to make my own cards and stuff. I still have tons of stamps, ink pads, markers....I should see if the stuff is still good. Lord knows I have the time now until I go back to work.

kitchenlabs - http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_3_36.gif Always room for one more!
Caroline - glad everyone is feeling better!

Well I need to run....talk to you all later.

Gooooooooooooood Morning!!

Today is cleaning day..yuck! I need to get the house in order before our Godchildren (2 and 5) come over tomorrow to destroy it. LOL I haven't seen them in a couple of months and their Christmas presents are still here waiting for them. Somewhere in between chasing the kids around we'll watch the big game. Me and their mom planned an OP day with fruit salad, chicken breast and 3 point hamburgers. I'm still trying to decide on a dessert.

I talked to my sil for a long time last night (the one who has thyroid cancer and is 7 months pg). Her baby shower is on Mar. 15th, I soooooooo can't wait!! I want to see my new nephew! It's funny how you can love a baby so much and not even know the little guy yet! My bil is a fireman so they are doing the nursery in firetrucks. This is what Aunt Chris is buying for her new nephew

My bil is going to freak out when he sees it!

Anyway, that's about it for now. Time to start cleaning.

Shar.. glad DD is doing better!

CraftyTigger, I see you're in South Carolina also!!!
Shar, actually my name means my kitchen is full of labs waiting for me to drop something on the floor. (They don't count points).

Thanks for the warm welcome!!!

Good afternoon everyone! I have had a very slow start to my day today. I got a call at work yesterday from DD saying she was sick and needed to go home. She is coughing up stuff, has a fever, and her head is killing her. It's some flu that has been going around and she caught it. She doesn't handle being sick well. Plus she was supposed to go to a friend's birthday today, so she's doubly bummed. She's twelve now and I can count on one hand how many times she's even been sick, so she's really lucky that way.

DS has his one-act play sections competition today. He had to be up at 4:00 AM to get ready to go, so I didn't sleep all night afraid I wouldn't hear the alarm and he'd miss it. A friend picked him up, so at least I didn't have to go out. I was going to drive up to the performance, but DD is laying on the couch moaning so that's out.

So, since I can't go anywhere, I will be cleaning house and doing laundry instead. I want to get everything done so I can watch the Super Bowl tomorrow and not worry about it.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good evening, everyone. Thought I would take a break from my "sick bed":ugh: and check in with you. Took the flu suddenly the other night and have been lying low. Much better today, even getting outdoors to walk the dogs in the snow. Fresh air never hurts.
Kitchenlabs, I really love your name!! How many labs do you have? We have 2 big dogs here, a cross between a rotweiller/sheppard, and a bull mastiff. They sound scary, but they are big babies who are spoiled rotten, and make exciting walking partners. I am also doing the Core Plan, having lost 10.4 since Jan 4th. I find it very easy to follow, the exception being yesterday and today being under the weather with no appetite, then the feeling I could eat anything today. My belly is not happy with me tonight after eating pizza - not a good thing on the Core plan. But I know my way back to the fruit and veggies I love with this plan, plus many other great foods. How are you finding the plan? Everyone has different needs, and I'm just happy to have found a plan to fill my needs.
Well, I wish everyone a great Saturday evening! I'm going to be a total couch potato tonight, and hopefully feel 100% tomorrow!
Debbie

Hi again

Yes, it was an amazing weather day. It's supposed to be really nice for a while and then rain and turn colder, I think by Wed.

I didn't get as much walking in as I wanted too. Spent the morning cleaning house, upstairs and downstairs, walked to market and got some fish and walked downtown for my newspaper. After lunch, I went to Mall for a few things. Bought a new blouse in Sears - 25% off - it's new summer cotton and polyster - I don't really own any casual blouses anymore. It's in various colours of blueand grey. Came home and then went to library to read the Globe and walked around the block. Tired after that so hopefully I'll make a better effort at walking.

I'm making 1 point muffins now. Just took some of them out of the oven.

Hope to see everyone on chat tonight at 8 p.m.

Ashlee :walking: (to market and downtown, home; to bus station, walking at mall, home; to library and walk around the block and home)
