I made cranberry sauce with fresh cranberries. I followed the traditional method and omitted the sugar. As it came to the sitting and cooling stage with I added spoonable Equal in an amount proportionate to the sugar called for. Look on the bag of a bag of Ocean Spray fresh cranberries for the recipe.

Hi,

I made my cranberries with half sugar and half splenda this year from the basic recipe on the bag. If I was making them for just DH and myself I'd use all splenda but others were eating them and I'm sure they would have noticed. They were great. Check in if you have time and let us know how you made them.;)

My mother just gave me a recipe for a great cranberry sauce that uses chopped apples. I made it last night and am addicted to it!

1 bag of fresh cranberries, cleaned and sorted
3 - 4 c. chopped apples (or double the amount of cranberries)
1 c. Splenda
1 tsp. granulated sugar

Combine all ingredients in a pan and cook on low heat, bringing to a slow boil, stir and simmer until apples are cooked and transparent.
