These 1 point treats are great-and addicitng. How many rolls can 1 consume ina day? I count them towards my points but fear I am not supposed to have this much in a day.

thanks

Hi There,

I've had those Fruities and they are good! [i]Technically speaking/i] though when you're counting points you can have as much of a certain food as you want as long as it's within your point range. However, just be careful when it comes to snacks and sugary foods in general because you don't want to eat "empty" calories. Even "legal" 1 pt foods can add up and slow down weightloss if it's not healthy eating. I think you'd be wise to limit yourself to 1 roll/day as a treat and perhaps go with a piece of fruit at other times if possible.

You definitely don't want to fill up on empty calories, which is basically all these are. Use your points wisely on healthy foods that will benefit your health and your weightloss. An occasional treat of the Fruities is fine, but downing a roll of these or more a day? You also need to be aware of the "fine print" on the labeling. There's an ingredient that could have a laxative effect if too much is consumed. JMO.

Watch out for those things. In our house we call them "farties" for a reason.:embarrass

I like these too but even with eating one pack thru-out the day, I have to call them POOTIES -- they don't really sit in my stomach too long!!

Likewise, although I have to admit it sometimes comes in handy on wi day :p but I wouldn't do more than a pack a day.....

POOTIES! That's funny!

Yes, Fruites are "dangerous" if we eat too many of them. Also as someone said earlier, even though on this program, we can *technically* eat as much of a certain food as we like as long as we stay within our points, that means that *technically* I could eat chocolate bars all day as long as I stay within in points, but we all know the value of that!

I don't think that I can eat this - I bought a pack and the first one I put in my mouth made me feel like my tongue wwas swollen and it went all tingly. I must be alergic to one of the ingredient - too bad!!!!

Hello everyone,

I must not have read the fine print correct. :embarrass I thought it read that you could only have 3 candies for one point. I can't find any to look them up. Is it an entire package for one point? That's a lot better. I kind of like them. I like the fact that you can chew them. Makes me feel like I'm actually eating something other than candy.

Thanks.

I think the whole pack is one point...but if you eat the whole pack I think you lose about 20 points in the bathroom....You'll only eat an entire pack once or twice as I have learned....they taste good going in....but don't stick around long!

These are WW. candies. They are 1 point per roll. They come in a roll like lifesavers. I've never eaten a whole package. They sell them "here" at our WW. meetings for 3 pkgs. for $4.

I like the blackberry ones the best, but there are a few more flavours I believe.

My WW sells them for 1 pkg (3 rolls per package) for $2.50. My favorite is also the blackberry. I'm addicted to them but watch out for gastric distress!!

I love these and they are great for me to have in the car when I am starting to get that hungry feeling I can pop a few of these and be happy for a while. I did learn they are not chewy like gummy candies which is what I thought they were. The first time I ate one I thought I had chewed it enough and choked so now I only suck on them till they are gone which is good since they last longer. I guess I am lucky and have never had a side effect of running to the bathroom. It is a good thing since I found these on or driving trip from California to Arkansas boy would that have been a problem:) :) :)

That's too funny about them being called Farties. Now I know what gave me the problem yesterday.

I am afraid of these candies for a very different reason. I have has some sugar free candies with the warning 'may have a laxative type effect' and I have the opposite reaction. I get bloated, even worse than TOM. I don't care if it's one point for the whole pkg. I'd rather have an apple or a couple werthers to avoid the discomfort.

I have to say, after reading (and laughing) all the replies to this thread I will share my input too.

I bought blackberry and strawberry, oh they are tasty. I decided I would eat 1 package after dinner as my dessert treat. Later in the evening I felt girggling and wondered what the heck I had eaten to cause this. Well, needless to say, the air in our room was not the freshest...my DH asked me what I ate to cause this smell. :embarrass I had no clue. Next day life went on and all was fine...couple days go by and I eat another package...well you know what happened!! My DH asked me not to eat them anymore.

Fartie that is so perfect for these!!

I am still laughing!!

This is my first post here...I was reading the fruities/pooties discussion and I just wanted to mention that if you like fruity candies and want to avoid the...ahem...side effects...you might want to try sugar free Jolly Ranchers. They're awesome, almost better than the original ones because they're not as sickeningly sugary and I can't imagine they're at all high in points. (Don't have a package here, but there's like nothing in them...) I fill the candy jar at work, and my boss is diabetic, and I've totally gotten him addicted to them. He can't find them at his local grocery store so he actually gives me money to pick him up a couple bags when he goes on vacation. :D

They're at both grocery stores and Target near where I live (Chicago), so hopefully if anyone wants to try them, they can find them.

I'll put a little 'hi!' post in the general forums in a bit...but hi! right now as well!

I love fruities. I never noticed any of the side effects mentioned above. My favorite flavor is cherry. I like to nibble a package at the movies. it keeps me busy without having to splurge on the popcorn.

At our center they are $2,50 for 3 strips. Each strip of 12 candies is one point. We have strawberry, blackberry, orange, lemon and cherry. They are CORE...so that is good.

Regarding the points value for fruities, the nutritional info on the package says that a serving size is 3 candies. So, is it one point for the serving size (3 candies), or one point for the whole pack?

Regardless of how many you get for the 1 point, I would like to make a suggestion: Make sure you are getting in all 8 healthy guidelines (2-3 dairy servings, at least 1 serving of quality protien, at least 5 fruits/veggies, 2 tsp healthy oils) before spending your points on "empty calories" like Fruitie Pooties. It's okay to have them (as many as you like) but only if you are staying within your points target AND not substituting them for the healthy stuff your body needs. Once those needs are met, "Toot" away!

I love the blackberry ones and usually just kinda suck on it for a while...keeps me from eating...but YES THEY DO HAVE LAXATIVE AFFECTS...my brillant SIL bought them in wads for my toddler nephew to have and he kept the upset stomach for weeks...wondering why???? Did not think to read the notice on the package. There's your sign!!!

They totally make me feel bloated and have a laxative effect. While they taste good, they aren't worth the suffering I go through afterwards.

I find them too much like hard gummie bears. They do a number on my teeth.

I'd rather have an apple.

There is a thread in this section about 'gross' foods. To me, fruities fit right into that section.
