I have been wondering this for awhile so I thought that I would ask it. What do you wear to WI? Ever since I have been on WW I have tried to wear the same thing or as close as possible when I go so I will get a accurate weight. But with it getting colder, I really dont thing that I will be able to wear capri pants all the time. Do you think that different clothes make you weight more?

I think different clothes are going to wear differently, but unless you go to extremes and wear a parka on the scale it's not going to make that much of a difference. Experiment at home...use your bathroom scales in a couple different outfits.

I always wear the same pants and a tshirt with a sweater over it so I can take that off on the scale. My pants are very light weight, so they dont weigh anything..I defineatly notice that if I wear jeans or some other heavy pants, it makes a difference!

Hehe...
I do WW at home, and for my WI, I wear nothing. Nada. Bye-bye bathrobe!
When I was first OP (back at appx 180), I did not want any excuse to blame my weight on ("oh, the clothes must be adding at least 2 lbs" and so on). So I stripped! :embarrass

I usually wear the same outfit each week.....now that it is getting cooler, I'm going to wear a light weight long sleeve blouse and skirt....it is maybe a little lighter than what I've been wearing but not much.

Durning the warm weather I wear whatever I have on for work that day ( I weigh in at night after work) but durning the winter I always wear a pair of dress pants and a sweater and bring a tee-shirt to change into for the WI. I wore a sweater one time on the scale and my leader told me to wear something lighter..

When I attended meetings, I wore my Old Navy capri pants and a v-neck t-shirt with slip-off sandals.
I am back to weighing-in at home, which I do nekkid after using the facilities in the AM. :p

I wear khakis, a light shirt and a lightweight pair of clogs. The clogs are probably the lightest shoes I own and I usually wear them to w/i. That way, if I had a not so great week, I can take them off and it usually gives me a 1 lb difference. Then, the next week, I catch up with the clog weight.:p

I always wear the same clothing for weigh-in - I have a summer weigh in outfit and a winter one. The first winter weigh in is always a bit higher because of the heavier clothing.

Hey Steph........
I've worn jeans in the summer, and will continue this winter for WI days. T-shirts and reg shirts weigh about the same.
I have noticed some of my buddies who started in the summer.......strip off their pants at the scale, only to have their "WI shorts" on underneath. LOL !!!! First time it happened, I admit to kinda being a bit shocked to the lengths they would go.........but then again I can see it for continuity. (What I cannot understand are the people taking off their watches, rings, and necklaces.........because I don't think the majority of those people thought about stripping off accessories when they stepped on that scale for the first time. I know I didn't !!!!)

I don't wear the same outfit every week, but I do consider what I wear. - usually light weight pants and a t-shirt. When I went to WI this AM, it was 40F and I was cold in my leggings. My hope is to get to goal plus (minus?) some before the weather gets too bad so I don't have to worry about how much the clothes weigh.

I wear yoga pants and a tee-shirt. I take my shoes off to weigh (it's just a thing I have).
I,too, like to be consistent so that I can't say, "Oh, my clothes were heavier this week."

I wear very light weight linen pants and a blouse of some sort. I always wear the same thing

I wear jeans and a t-shirt, no shoes. Shouldn't be that much different this winter, since I'll just throw on a pull over or jacket to take off when I get to WI.

I wear exercize pants (very lite) and a shell top(it's almost weightless)...and slip off shoes. I remove my jacket for the WI.:exercise: In the summer I wear shorts/shell top or lite tank.

I usually wear cotton sweats, the one that you wear to go to the gym, so in the summer I have short sleeves and in the winter I just put on an extra jacket or a sweatshirt that obviously I remove before stepping on the scale

In the summer (and as long as I can do it without freezing my tushy off), I wear shorts and a t-Shirt. The rest of the year I wear lightweight sweatpants and a t-shirt.

I wear light pants and a t-shirt. Sometimes jeans. I weigh myself at home in the buff, though. :)

I weigh at home in the buff - but since they won't let me do that at the meetings :embarrass I have a favorite skirt and sleeveless shirt that I like to wear when I know I haven't had a good week. When it has been a good week, I might chance heavier clothes...I think I might switch over to jeans and a tshirt next week and try wearing that each week. I don't do the jewelry thing but did catch myself this morning taking it off just to see as it hasn't been a good week :ugh: ! It made a 1/2 lb difference but I'm not going to resort to that I've decided - it's kind of like cheating...and then I'd have to do it every week....no point in it really....I'll just have to take my chances (and knocks from my leader) if I haven't done well - that usually motivates me to do better the next week and I'm sure I could use extra motivation this week with turkey day tomorrow!!
Good luck all!

I weigh at home in my undies.
WHen I went to meetings last year, I did the layers of clothes thing...wearing shorts and a tank top under sweats...remove the sweats to weigh, put the sweats back on. Just to make sure it was 100% accurate...tee hee...I never wear jewelery so that was not an issue to me.
I also avoided eating for several hours before the weigh in....my meetings were at 7pm, so like my friend who gave me this idea, I didn't eat anything after lunch, until after the meeting...and I stopped drinking water about 3 hours before the meeting. Desperate times call for desperate measures! LOL:kiss:

I weigh in at home, so I don't :) But when I was going to meetings, I would wear the same thing every week, like a ritual. It was the thinnest jersey dress I owned. A little too heavy for summer, a little too light for winter. Just perfect for weigh ins! Except on the first day, of course, when I wear the heaviest pants and shirt I have, plus a sweater, plus -- just once -- four silver dollars, two sets of keys and 2 rolls of quarters in my pockets.

I have switched to sweatpants for the winter time. I find that it is the most accurate weight with clothes on:p

Hi,
I wear close to the same thing every week. I usually come from the gym so in the summer I wear shorts and a tee and in the winter long gym pants (light weight) and a tee.

I always chuckle at myself on Thursday mornings because I wear the lightest clothing possible with a sweater or cardigan that I take of before stepping on the scale. I usually freeze my buns off in the winter time (especially on a day like today when it's 15 degrees outside).:p

When I used to go to meetings I did it the opposite and always used to wear jeans and then some kind of thin top. That way in winter or summer it was always kind of OK. And I always knew I was a little bit lighter than what the scales said. Always made me feel a little bit happier.

I've only weighed in three times since I started this year. The first time, I wore jeans and a heavy shirt, and boots. The next week, I wore very light weight nylon pants and a tank top and took off my shoes. I'm sure that's partly why it showed an 8.5 lb loss. ;) The third time, I wore the same pants and shirt, and I think it will be interesting to keep wearing that outfit to WI until (please God!) it doesn't fit me any more...
Last night at WI, I watched a lady weigh with and without her shoes, and there was a 1.5 lb difference. Her shoes were regular athletic shoes, they don't look that heavy! The WW checker-in person was totally astonished.

I am doing WW @ home and since my weigh-ins are done at home I wear nothing when I weigh myself. :)

My WI group probably thinks I'm poor and homeless.
I wear the SAME outfit every week to WI. Thin workout pants, a tank top, a sweatshirt and flip flops. I lose the sweatshirt and flops before getting on the scale.
That's the closest thing to being in my skivvies as I can be. And, by wearing the same thing to WI at the same time every week, I feel it's more consistent.

Hi- I plan to do the same thing! It is very consistent that way, and so what if everyone thinks you only own one outfit!!!:)

I usually try to wear the same thing. Usually a pair of lightweight yoga pants and a t-shirt. I was weighed last week wearing the same pants, but did not take my fleece sweatshirt off, and was up 2 lbs. My leader made me remove it (I had a t-shirt underneath) and re-weighed me.
She also recommends weighing at home either naked or in underwear before the meeting WI, so that we have a real sense of what our losses are.

I do WW at home so tend to strip down to nothing before stepping on the scale.:embarrass I do know that when I was going to the WW meetings I always wore the exact same outfit. I don't know that it truly made a bit of difference, but in my mind it did!

Well it sounds like we all do the same thing. Very light clothing and no jewelry. I also wear light jogging pants and a t-shirt every week. I have a few different colors of t-shirts so it doesn't look like I am wearing the same thing  Ofcourse at home no one is watching so I also weight in the buff.

I wear very lightweight windpants and a tee-shirt with sneaker clogs. I was worried at first that people would notice I was wearing the same thing every week but alot of people do.:)
