Hi all!!:crazy: It is good to be finally back to these boards. For some reason I have not been able to log onto this site for over a month. It always said that it could not be found. Has anyone else had this problem??Anyways, I am glad that problem is finally fixed, and I am here again! I miss the support from all of you!
As for my weight loss journey, I am still on track and going strong. I have reached the maintence part, and my weight has been fluctuating a pound or two, but I am aware that it is normal, until I find the right range. Only 2 more weeks until my meetings are free:))
I hope the summer has found all of you well! I can't wait to hear updates from everyone!
Take care,
~~Martha

Congrats! And welcome back. So, now that you're almost a life-timer - do you have any tips for getting rid of those last few - I don't have far to go...but they are sticking to my gut! Did you have to change your program at all? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!~

Hi yals!
As it seems with everyone else, I too struggled with my last 10 lbs or so. It took me about 3 months to take them off. My recommendation is just to eat all of your points, and to change it up a little bit. I started to try new recipes, and switched up my exercise routine from week to week. I know everyone says this over and over again, but you really need to eat all of your points. I did not believe this at first, and tried to lower my point values.....which just stalled my weight loss. If you exercise regularly...count those activity points and use them! It is funny how after we have been on the program for so long we start to not want to eat so much:) I don't think that was ever an issue in my pre-WW days:)
And just stay as active as you can. The amount of energy I have now is just phenomenal. I walk to the store instead of drive........take my daughter on 2 hour long bike rides....and I have the energy to chase around my 11 month old son.
I hope this helps!

Thanks so much for your suggestion! I have upped my points - I eat about 22 a day and have extra-flex pts for those special occassions. I may try to eat all my flex pts next week and see what happens! Its funny how we now have to try to eat more! I love it!
My mother has been trying to also lose a few. She's even shorter than me (she's 5") and doesn't have a lot to lose, maybe 5-10. She really only eats about 18 pts a day, and doesn't believe me when I tell her she should be eating more. She's actually been on ww for 5 weeks and hasn't lost a pound. I don't know what to tell her when she calls complaining! I don't think she's exercising though - but wouldn't that balance out with eating fewer pts? Any suggestions that I can pass along to her?

yals---although I hate to admit this, I lost my first 20 or so lbs without exercising. But I was a lot heavier, and when you only have a few to lose, its harder to take them off. I hate to say this, but I don't think your Mom is quite following the program if she has been on it for 5 weeks and has not lost anything. That does not sound right. It is a tricky situation when someone else in your family is doing Weight watchers along with you, and not following the program. I have been on both sides of this(the one sticking with it, and the one not sticking with it.) As I am sure you are aware, she is not going to dedicate herself to WW until she is ready. It took me 3 times starting this program until I finally lost the weight. The only suggestion I can give you is to keep sharing your success stories with her, and maybe encourage her the best you can. I am not sure how close she lives to you, but you can always invite her out for walks with you, or a bike ride, etc......to help encourage her to exercise more.
My sister and I started WW together last year, and although we live 3 hours apart from each other, she still was a great support system for me. We e-mailed our menus to each other everyday, which helped tremendously in accountability. If she is computer literate, this might be another thing you guys can try.

Thanks for your suggestions! I'm not sure what to do with my mom. I'm 100% OP, measuring everything - and I'm pretty sure she is too - she always complains that its too much food (she used to eat like a bird, then pig out at night). I wonder if her body isn't losing because she is a proper weight. I know we can all want to be a perfect size 2, but maybe our bodies are happy at size 6,8...and don't want to lose anymore - is that possible?

I think that is definitley possible. I weigh the same now as I did when I was a teenager, and my body is not anywhere near the same. I know that having kids changes it alot too!
