What's the one treat you incorporate into WW?
For me, it's M&Ms. I allow myself 1/4 * (4 points) of M&Ms on the weekends. It lets me enjoy the weekends without getting out of control.
What's yours?

I love Nerds candy and will allow myself a small box when I go to the movies or have a Buffython at home.

Once a month I buy a loaf of excellent sourdough bread from the bakery down the street (featured in Gourmet magazine!). I toast it and spread 1 tsp. of real farm butter on it for a 3 point treat. If it's summer, I use fresh strawberry jam as well (3.5 points).

A candy bar. occasionally. I often cut it in half and eat it in two days. Also a slice of great locally made pizza, just once in a while. I love that I can eat anything on Weight Watchers, in limited amounts and still be on program.
I also love that some "treats" for me are allowed and count for milk: yogurt and fat free puddings. I do not feel deprived, ever!

At the moment, I can't think of any specific treats I'm allowing myself. BUT...knowing I can have them is what makes it possible for me to be OP!

As it was said, the flex points gives you the play to have your treat once in a while. Mine is raisin toast. I keep it in the freezer...so I know that way I can have it when I want it...but the best part about the whole thing is the CHOICE.

I JUST discovered the WW Smart Choice fudge bars.
I couldn't wait to try them, so I was eating the BIG thing in the car and probably have a half a point on my shirt.
Try them, they are GREAT!

Rice Krispie bar...the pre-made ones (keeps me from having to fight temptation to taste while I make them). Each treat/bar is 2 points, I allow myself to have one (and only one ;) ) two or three times a week.

I love Kudos Bars too, I keep a box of the Snickers kind on hand for an afternoon 2 point snack. IMHO they are MUCH better than those just 2 points bar that WW has.

Frozen custard - so much creamier than soft serve ice cream. I love it. I go with a friend and we get a small dish and split it.

I incorporate a number of sweets and other foods that I like, on a more or less daily basis.
I almost rigorously avoid using the word "treat" because it invokes an image of using food as a reward for good behavior. I am working very hard to break that habit. The words we use are very powerful!
Things I do use: small candy bars, real ice cream, regular cheese, real butter, real maple syrup (the kind you get from the tree), cookies, cakes, pies (rarely), pretty much everything.

Mine is not sweet, but it's something that i really have to plan for - miller lite. i go out to clubs w/ my college friends every weekend (and during the week too) and i love to have a couple beers. but i always drink 2ce the amount of water so i don't bloat and i usually exercise an extra 20 mins the next day.

Cold Stone Creamery "sinless" ice cream! A small bowl, which is a lot, is 3 pts...top it with berries for free or smuckers fudge for 2 more points. I have it every couple of weeks!
And I have a latte every day for 3.5 points, but that's my dairy!

DinahMom,
I just checked out your website and pictures. You are so awesome! You really look great and you gave me hope. Can I be nosy and ask what a daily journal of food looks like for you. I'm always curious how others eat on WW.
Thanks!

My one treat I allow myself is AFTER weigh in on Fridays. I am doing WW at Work and we have a deli that has REAL Ice Cream (made here in Arkansas). So I splurge and have a scoop - but only if I have flex points left from the past week (since Friday is the end of the week for me).
So I treat myself and stay OP.

I save up my flex points and use them on Saturday for breakfast at McDonalds.
bacon/egg/cheese mcgriddle for 10.5 points and a hash brown for 3.5 points.
mmmmm helps me get through the week just knowing I can have that!

KLONDIKE Slim-A-Bear 98% Fat Free Ice Cream Sandwich.
Every single day.:p Vanilla or Mint. It's huge - 4 ounces. Yummy!!!!
Only 2 points. 3 fiber/130 calories/1.5 fat
Can't live without my ice cream!! And with WW, I don't have too!!!:p
I don't really have that many "treats" because of the flexibility of WW's, and I never feel I need to deprive myself.
There are many WW's desserts etc that I include in my menus, however I will allow myself something on the weekend, like a glass of wine, or some candies.
I never call them "treats", I am trying to steer away from using food as a treat for myself. :)

Well, I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but almost every evening, my cat and I share a SmartOnes ice cream cone. The thing I really consider special during the week, though, is on Wednesday nights. I always order Chinese take out and have a nice big 12 point dinner.

I don't know that I really "treat" myself. I do on occasion have the WW's peanut butter pie (5 pts). I really love that. But if I am in a particularly decedent mood I go to Applebee's and get their Berry Cheesecake for 5 points. To me, it's the best.

Right now it is soft-serve ice cream. I love McDonalds cones. I don't keep ice cream in the house though because it is my biggest weakness. I'm thinking around Haloween I may treat myself with some fun sized candy bars. It is something to look forward to. Actually a real treat is to have some of these things and to look forward to eating some of these things without the feelings of guilt. No guilt is the biggest treat of all!

Because I'm a chocolate and peanut butter lover, I have one Reese's peanut butter cup (the regular size). One cup is 2.5 points and well worth it, IMO. I save the other one for another day... :D

Right now, instead of having something sweet to eat, I have a hot chocolate made with milk. I need to up my calcium intake, so this is the way I like to do it. My DH sells hot choc powder and brought home a 2kg sample a few weeks ago so I have a ready supply!
My favourite time of the day is fast becoming that moment after the bread is in the machine to be made, this dishes are done and the kitchen is clean. Then I sit down with my hot chocolate and just relax.

Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies. 1 point each. I freeze them, eat one or two at the most, SIT BY MYSELF and really enjoy them. I have found that I have to be alone to really taste things and focus on the party going on in my mouth. They have lots of crunch when frozen, they take a few minutes to eat. Then I brush my teeth and go to bed. I make 3 boxes last a year because I get so sad if there are no Thin Mints in my house. When we first get the cookies, my kids and husband share two boxes, then I freeze the rest. Neither my kids nor my husband has ever dared take one of my Thin Mints (at least to my knowledge!) because they are afraid of what would happen!

In addition to the daily treats I have like Dreyer's No-Sugar-Added fruit bars and ice cream, I also save most of my flex for a meal with my friends on the weekends. I never know where it'll be until the day of: maybe IHOP, pizza, or pho (like last weekend, mmm...). And we almost always get boba afterward. But I always make sure to work out extra hard that day.

Those Chai tea latte's are great! DH just started selling that too and made me try one at a pizza place he supplies too. I looked at him and asked why on earth I'd pay for it if I could have it free at home and he insisted that with the froth it tastes even better. I was pleasantly surprised ~ I'd absolutely have that again!

This answer may sound a bit screwy, but the one "treat" that I let myself have is that I do not plan menus days ahead of time. That kind of thing does not work for me - I feel like I am on a "diet" rather than embarking on a new way of living where I have to be strong enough to make new choices every day as they come my way. I like the spontanaeity of not knowing exactly what I will be eating the next day. Sometimes I have a general idea, and if I am going to a restaurant I will check my WW books ahead of time, but mostly I go with the flow and stay OP that way. Works for me and is definately a perk to the WW plan that I can plan or not plan my meals anyway I want to as long as I am OP.

There are so many great "treats" that are easy to fit into my points program. But one thing I LOVE and really have to plan for is PIZZA! There are a lot of times when my DH and I make our own pita pizzas at home. But sometimes it is so nice to go out to a local pizza place and eat. I just save up my FP and have a big AP day! :work_out:

Russel Stover has a new "low carb" line of candy. I am a fan of Jelly Belly jelly beans. I'm not a fan of "low carb" but their version of low carb gourmey jelly beans is to use Splenda instead of sugar. Plus it is in small bags that are 2 1/2 points a piece for a good amount of jelly beans. This makes for a nice splurge once in a while for me. Especially if I am going to the movies!

I wouldn't call it a treat, but more of an obsession! There is a gas station about 5 miles from my house that makes the best coffee and they have the Vanilla Steamers product. I get a large coffee, w/ 2 Splendas and 4 ounces of the Vanilla Steamer for 1 point. I know this because I went online one night and searched for the nutritional facts for over an hour :) To top it off, I dunk a chunk of biscotti into my coffee. I'm like the thin mint eater, I like to enjoy that nightly specialty all by myself!

Wow, still getting use to the new board format!
Skinny cows are definately something I incorporate into WW. It's not only a deceptively sinful treat (they are 2 points, with a few excepts) it's a dairy and has some nutritional value! I just LOVE them!

My "treat" would have to be what me and the guys have Game Night. I role play every Friday and Sat. night and so we usually have pizza, chinese, etc for dinner or snacks wise.
Since I started WW during the holidays, I'm used to saving my flex points for 1 day and then splurging. I feel alot better when I don't spend many flex points during the week. ^.^

I wrote this over a month ago, and I am proud to say that this is no longer a treat a make room for. :strong: :D
Instead, I am now saving my points for extra servings of fruit, nut butters, real cheese and a once-a-week treat of my choice that is more luscious than candy pellets from a box.

:exercise: I too, try not to think of it as a "treat"....otherwise I fall back into the habit of "overtreating" myself......lol........I eat the W.W. desserts at least four times a week after my dinner. I always allow for them that way I dont overendulge. I esp. like the chocolate fudge cake, and sometimes I put a small scoop of Edys Fat Free sugar free vanilla/chocolate ice cream on top of the cake......it is wonderful (cake is 3pts. ice cream is 1 pt.) not bad for 4 points and it fills a cereal bowl!:headover:
I too like wine, so occasionally I will substitute a glass of wine instead of having my dessert that day. Either way, I get to come out ahead, because Im eating things I like!

I like to have what I call a peanut butter whip :angel They are delicious and have keep me on W/W till goal.
Its 1/4 cup f/f cool whip 1pt
3 T. whipped peter pan p/b 3pts
1 apple diced 1pt
1 cup grapes sliced in half 1pt
6 pts total but a large serving and so healthy
you can adjust the points according as to how much you have left for the day by cutting it to 1/2 apple or 1/2 cup grapes or even 1T p/b or a dollop of cool whip the cool whip and p/b usally gets whipped in the bowl first with a spoon and then add fruit and stir to coat. One Dove bar dark chocolate bar. 1 point and well worth it
I am very curios...what kind of Dove bar is this? Is it really only 1 pt? Is it ice cream or a candy bar?
I love the slim a bears/skinny cow ice cream sandwiches. I am a big ice cream nut, this gets me through. Since they are only 2 pts each I incorporate them into my days, if I have points left over I will have one for dessert.
Also, for my chocolate craving I have a Starbucks grande Mocha skim with no whip or hot chocolate with marshmellows.

I usually allow myself to have hot chocolate. It's not -real- hot chocolate, just the kind that comes as powder in the can. But not the 'light' stuff, which just doesn't taste the same.
It's usually about 3 points for a cup of the stuff... I throw in a couple of tablespoons of the powder, splash in about 1/4 cup of 1% milk for flavor, and top off the rest with hot water.

I don't use the word "treat" either, because if I plan wisely, I can incorporate my favorite food at least once a week. But my big time treat, that I only give myself about every other month is an 20 oz MT. DEW!!! Grilled Stuft Burrito is 15 points. That's the steak not sure if the chicken would be less or not. BTW I cut the burrito in half and eat half for lunch and the other half for dinner. Don't think I could eat the whole thing at once anyway I look at it.
