Hello! I'm back! It's been awhile so most of you have probably never seen me, but I lost 60 lbs. from March 03 - August 03, and reached my goal of 160 lbs. I stayed at lifetime for several months, then around Christmas my mom got pretty sick and we were on the road alot visiting her as much as possible as she got sicker and sicker. She died in April 04, and I've been dealing with the fall out from that for several months. Over the course of a year I gained back about 15 lbs which I consider not all that bad with my life's circumstances. But now I'm back on track and in losing mode. I hope to be back at goal before Thanksgiving and the Holiday season. I want to enjoy my turkey, and frankly maintainace is a bit easier than losing mode over the holidays LOL! I actually have a goal of reaching 155 this time. My husband who lost the original weight with me is doing it again this time around. Any support is welcome! I hope to jump right in to the conversations and get a new lease on life.

Thanks!
Edie

Hey,
Welcome back! I am new to these forums as well. Congrats on reaching goal the first time around and well done for coming back. I am sorry for your loss. It must have been very hard for you.:sobbing:

I agree that it is so much easier to lose with someone else. I joined with a friend of mine who was also quite successfull, she has been a huge support for me.

I'm so happy you decided to re dedicate yourself and I wish you luck on your journey! :angel

Welcome back, Edie!!! You are right, 15 pounds is not much considering the unfortunate circumstances. Sounds like you have a great support system in place, especially when you add us into the mix! Glad to have you back and I am sure you will achieve your goal of having it off by holidays if you really want that.

Hi Edie..
I'm in the same boat as you. I *think* I have about 15 to lose, more likely it's 20. I'm going back to weigh in officially tomorrow. I reached my goal of 148 in the summer of '01, kept it off for over a year and when my dad died in Oct. '02....I just didn't care anymore.
Now that I can't wear any of my cute summer clothes...I suddenly care again!
I want to commit to going again WEEKLY, not monthly. But I find this Lifetime thing sometimes makes me feel like I have "permission" to skip weeks (and not pay of course!). I need to get my mind set like a "regular" member and START OVER. Pretend I'm not LT and go EVERY WEEK and pay every week like an over goal member should! :)
We can do this!!

Welcome back Edie! I'm also a recently returned lifetimer who has been dealing with some personal issues as well. I am sorry about your loss. I am glad to have you back with us. Together we can overcome these last few pounds.

Hi Edie - I went through the exact same thing as you - lost my dad in 2001 - and let my diet go. Fortunately we don't have much to lose - but I know those last few can be hard. We are all doing this together - keep it up!!
