Hello Floridians

I am in Milton, FL now just outside of Pensacola FL. on the Gulf. CurvyPrincess I just moved from Jax. this past Easter. I lived there with my hubby and boys for the last 8 yrs. My DH is in the Navy. We are in Pcola now for flight school. I was actually born in Orlando, but lived in the Washington state and Fl from sixth grade on until I graduated high school. A child of divorce,what can I say. I met my hubby in Pensacola 10 yrs. ago when he first joined the Navy. He is actually from Oregon. So, needless to say I grew up on both coasts, however, nothing compares to the Pcola beaches. Have any of you ventured up to the panhandle? Nice to meet each of you. Stay in touch.

Nice to meet you all! I'm actually a transplant from New England - Massachusetts. Moved to Florida in 1995. Mother was ill. DH and I came to help my parents out during their tough time and we've been here ever since. I've been to Jax, Tallahassee, St. Pete, and St. Augustine on business only, Orlando to see Disney (of course), and lived a few years in Polk county. See you around the boards. I also am from Central Florida. 30 minutes each way between Daytona and Orlando. I have lived here since 1979. Originally from Philly and Jersey.

I had started going to the WW meetings back in Feb. I think it was, and I didn't do very well. I am doing it at home now, as I have the books, etc, and I am doing so much better and feel a lot less stressed.

With the heat, I am on the look out for supper ideas without using the stove. haha.... No bake pies have been great... And I find myself doing more stir frys.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day. It is cloudy and raining off and on here.

Forester-May I suggest that you browse through the various threads and just join in. I posted on a few threads and joined a challenge to motivate me until I found a place I can call home. Someone is always available to answer a question or offer support.

Just joined today...I'm a transplant from PA...moved to South Fl 2 years ago to be near family: son and DIL in Miami, parenst in WPB, and sister here in Delray!
My husband is an Aussie, and figures if he's gotten me out of PA, Australia may be in the future ;-}
