Hi fellow SHEs:angel
I've been trying to learn more about foods that may help prevent memory loss in the long run but have only learned about grapes (or whole grapes, not sure which) Any other foods out there? My memory is sometimes a little off and I'm still young so I would love to get my memory juices flowing a little better!
Thanks!

Information - knowledge is power, but I think we have to be careful what we put in our bodies.

I took ginseng at one time and I had a 3 day headache. Even tried it twice.

It's interesting to read theories on different things though.

Ashlee, you're SO right about that. We need to advise our Drs what supplements we take, too, as, in my opinion, supplements are often just prescription drugs in a less concentrated form.

:ugh: @ red bull, it is banned in soooooo many countries. A friend and I went out one night and we drank some thinking for energy, we got home that night and COULD NOT SHUT OUR EYES!!!! I had never had that feeling b4, it was quite scary, so as you can imagine, that was the end of Red Bull for me.

Ditto to what Ashlee and Katie said about supplements. IMO, asking your doctor is not very likely to be useful, though, as many (most?) MDs are not very knowledgeable about alternative medicine.

I have had bad experiences with both chamomile and echinacea -- they both give me vicious migraines. As it turns out, both are in the same plant family as ragweed, which is an allergen for me.

Since then, I've been cautious about herbs, and I pay particular attention to my body's reactions when I'm trying out an herb.
