I just wanted to let you all know that you trained me right. I've listened and (something else unusual for a guy)I paid attention.
Monica and I are celebrating our 25th Anniversary (May 5th) I've learned that Flowers and jewels always work ...The Trip to Siesta Key is my gift from her....
I will be back the 16th. Have a great week buddies!

Our Tenth is on the 21st, DH is a pilot & flight instructor (ATP rating with CFI, CFII, MEI, BGI, IFI, & AGI certificates), ..... only problem is DH has been unemployed since 4/2002... so we're not going anywhere or doing anything (other than figuring out which bill not to pay this month...

If anyone wants to learn how to fly..... my DH is the best there is!!!! Only pilot I know who'll fly several hundrec miles out of the way to avoid rough air (the BUMPS) so I don't get airsick (I get motion sick in any kind of vehicle)..

FYI, we're in Colorado, just SE of Denver!!!

Happy Anniversary! Congratulations to you both. Have a wonderful time on your trip!

DH and I will celebrate our 35th anniversary on Monday, May 10. It will be low key though, since he is having a minor surgery the next day.

However, we did just return from our first big vacation since our honeymoon. First time I've flown in 35 years, so I was a bit nervous. We went to Las Vegas for four days and loved it. A note about the buffets which can be a disaster to weight loss. We ate twice a day, brunch and dinner buffets. I ate almost everything I wanted, smile.gif but did watch the greasy/high calorie stuff. I ate plenty, but well. The few splurges I made were well offset by all the walking. Oh my goodness, the walking! I came home with a large blister on my toe (even in sneakers). If I hadn't been so active, I wouldn't have felt confortable eating some of the special things on the buffet (like creme brulee). I figured it would be okay with all the exercise I was getting, and I didn't eat mindlessly. I always had WW and points in my mind. Even though it was a special vacation, I didn't want to come home and find out I'd ruined the slow progress I've made lately. BTW, I only ate one small chocolate mousse, or one small creme brulee after dinner. You should have seen the huge dessert plates some people were taking!

Two days after getting home I went to WI and was down .6 lb. That's more than I lose in an average week. I'm down slightly again, according to my home scale, this week. Proof that a vacation doesn't have to spell disaster if we're smart about it.

Anyway, have a great time, and I'll be looking forward to your posts on your return. You always have such wonderful words of wisdom and encouragement to share.

Our 7th is 5/10. My parents celebrate their 40th the 16th as well. May is a great month for a wedding ;) Happy Anniversary to the other BCBs who celebrate this month as well!
