So the museum of Radio & Television in Los Angeles had a seminar last night with Dr. Phil. I went, but I didn't expect that there would be a reception beforehand with the opportunity to mingle and meet both him and his wife Robin.

I can't tell you guys how much it meant to me to be able to talk to him and tell him how much the weight loss challenge has been an inspiration. Now granted I don't follow his weight loss program persay but I find the pychologial part of his book in regards to your personal relationships with food and self image to be beyond inspiring and tremendously helpful, in a place where the WW meetings have left off for me, and never really filled a void I have been looking for.

It was just so amazing to be able to tell him that I've lost 47 pounds and how helpful he has been to me. And he said that I looked great!

Robin was absolutely adorable too, and I told her how inspiring I found her day of beauty show with the weight loss participants from "booty camp".

It was amazing, I got my ticket autographed which I will be taping into my book as soon as I can find it.

What a thrilling evening!!!!

Are they in person pretty much like they are on TV?

When I first read your "header", my first thought was you were going to say you were one of the "Dr. Phil families" or couples from the retreat! ;) Glad to hear that's not the case! (Can't wait to get home and watch today's episode of the Marty & Erin saga! And how about that divorcing couple from yesterday? Egad)

How fun to meet Dr. Phil! I really enjoy his get real attitude. I bought his book recently and have your philosophy on still following WW but using his book for the psychological aspects.

I think it would be fun to go see one of his shows, but would prefer to be in attendance for one of the lighter shows rather than a heavy!

That must have been thrilling! I really like him a lot and have read a book or two of his. I've been contemplating his weight loss book, for probably some reasons similar to yours. Thanks for sharing!

WOW that is so cool! I really like his book so far smile.gif I am following the Weight Watchers plan for my eating but I am following his book for the emotional and learning what causes me to eat, and so on.

I really like Dr Phil, I know he can be harsh but I think he's a great person and really wants to help people.
