I'm looking for a new line of skin care. Most recently I have used the Signature Club A line from Home Shopping. Unfortunately I like the skin care but don't care for the make up and all of the other extras that come in the kits. I'm looking for something that I can buy at Wal-Mart or Target. I might even be willing to get something from the mall if necessary but it wouldn't be my first choice. I'm willing to spend some money but don't have an unlimited amount to spend. I'm also looking for something fairly simple. I'm not one to spend lots of time in the bathroom. smile.gif
I'm 36 years old, have fairly normal skin, and am starting to see wrinkles and the signs of aging. graemlins/ugh.gif
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Wal-Mart just came out with their own skin-care line. It's sold as a kit, everything in one box, I saw an advertisement for it in a magazine (forget which magazine, though). I haven't had personal experience with it, but if you're looking for something that's all together and probably reasonably priced, that may do it
I just use good old Dove soap, Oil of Olay moisturizer and stay out of the sun. Many people are surprised when I tell them I am 32 :D
There is a similar post a few down about skin care products. I don't believe in all the fancy expensive stuff - I've used it in the past and it didn't treat my skin any better than the cheap stuff (I used to use Clinique)! Right now, I use the CVS brand of Cetaphil, St Ives Apricot Scrub, and Oil Of Olay's sensitive skin moisturizer (the kind in the jar, not the bottle). That's it! I have very clear skin and am always complimented on my complexion. But, I honestly think it's due to the large amount of water I drink (at least a gallon a day), the fact that I don't smoke, and my aversion to the sun . . . NOT my skin care products. I also always wash my face before bed. I don’t often wear makeup, but when I do, I don’t sleep with it on.

Yea, somehow I didn't notice that post until after I posted mine.
Yes, a great complextion is just another reason to drink that water!

I drink all my water, use sunscreen all year round, and thank my genes.
I also have the Irish curse of "rosea," which for years had me on tetracycline, and Metrocreme. That caused real redness, itching, and burning, plus, I didn't want to be on antibiotics (even low doses).
I tried soooo many products (my bathroom cabinet tells all) and finally found I've had the best luck with Origins products.
They are a bit pricey, but one bottle of moisturizer has lasted me 6 months. My skin has never felt so smooth and I haven't had a rosea flair up in over a YEAR ! knock on wood.. smile.gif

Water, sunscreen, wash twice daily morn and night is what I've always done. I used to use Clinique and then heard from a few different sources that it is one of the more harsh lines out there so I switched to Oil of Olay. Sunscreen for the day, a heavy mouistuizer for night, cleansing pads to remove make up and then I've been using the new Avon Home Peel in a Jar every other night and now 2 times a week for 4 weeks now. It is great! I believe they have both made a great difference in my complaxion as it isn't nearly as red and/or blotchy as it was a month ago....
