Maybe your teacher will be understanding that it is saved on the schools network and let you turn it in later in the day when it is up?

I'm sorry - it is an awful feeling to be under pressure.

When I get slammed with too many problems, I just remind myself "is this the last thing I will remember as I die?". Nah, it shall pass and it does!

Good Luck today. Patty

Have you tried putting the paper on Tape? I always left that as an option for my students, especially those with special writing needs. I have also allowed the occasional student to do it orally if an emergency arises. Speak to the professor.

Oh dear Cheryl! I'm so sorry. Hopefully your professor will be understanding of the network problem. Stress can be a terrible thing. Don't let it eat away at you and don't try to eat your way out of it!

I have a paper due @ 10:10 am. I am physically disabled and I type very slowly. I also have no time management skills and the 2 do not go very well together. @ midnightish the network went down and it is still not up. I had my paper saved on the school network b/c my laptop is broken. Word won't work now as it cannot access my F drive. So, now I have to start over, and I cannot physically get it done in time.

Cheryl, I found my teachers in college very understanding of any circumstances like that if you are really trying---but I don't blame you for being TRES aggravated!! :(

Cheryle, have you ever considered a voice recognition program? I know that there is a certain amount of time you have to spend getting it to recognize your voice, but once you're set up, it might help in terms of writing papers. At least for the first draft, anyhow.

Time management has never been one of my fortes, either, so you're not alone!
