Quit smoking again two weeks ago and I feel great!

I kept lurking around this board to see how everyone was doing with WW and quiting which is a huge task.
I was SO tired of feeling like a slave to smoking, literally.
I've been doing the patch this time around and have not experienced any constipation. When I quit before I didn't use anything and only lasted a month with terrible constipation and bloating as some of you have described.

I'm on the 14 mg patch because I smoked, but only a half a pack a day. It's working great, and I plan on going on to the 8 mg next completeing all the steps in the patch program.

I hate to have any nicotene in my system at all, but last time I did it on my own it took five days for me to sleep normally. For some reason I could not sleep at all, I think it was a withdrawl symptoms.

Congratulations Michelle. I used the patch when I quit also. I quit years ago starting with the 21 mg. patach. It made me so sick that I gave up. This last time I too used the 14 mg. patch. I only used it for two weeks and then went on to the 8 mg. patch. I used it for only one week and then went cold turkey. I had a rough few days, but decided to just get the nicotine out of my system and be done with it. I must say, it was the hardest thing I have ever done, but I have been quit for over two years and am at my WW goal and just a pound or two from my personal goal. I struggle from time to time with that. The holidays put 7 pounds on me this year. Took me over two months, but I finally managed to take them off. Just like quiting smoking, you have to work at both of them.

Good luck to you and if you need to vent or anthing, just do it here.

Michelle-
Good luck with the patch! I am sure that you will do okay this time. If you need to vent or whatever, you can always get in touch with me.

I just do it day by day, and each day without a cigarette is another day that I have won the battle.

:D

Thanks for all your kind replies!
I am at 15 days so far and doing great! The only time I can think that is difficult for me or I crave, is right after I get of work and want to have a cigerette in my car on the way home.

I associate cigerette's with releiving stress. What is a good way to get over this? I have completely cleaned my car out, and Frebreezed it every other day so that I don't crave. I sometimes have to sit in my car for an hour in traffic and get bored. What do ya 'al think about to get over these cravings?
