View Full Version : Crystal Lite Smoothie - 2 pt. for entire recipe!
Crystal Lite Smoothie
2 points for the entire recipe
1 packet crystal lite strawberry/orange/banana flavor
3 cups cold water
1 cup skim milk
2 TBS fat free plain yogurt
6 ice cubes
Just put it all in the blender and blend. It has 2 points for the entire blender full! (1 cup strawberries makes it 3 points for the entire thing but you get more fiber too).

Thanks!!! Sounds tasty!
Sounds very good. I have looked in the stores here for the packets of strawberry/orange/banana flavored Crystal Lite and only find the kind that makes up two quarts of drink. Is that what you are using?
Yes that's the one. Inside the box there's two packets. Use one of the packets for this recipe. Guaranteed you'll be making up another batch the next day!

Doesn't Crystal Light have 5 calories per 8 fl oz serving? If so, then the entire packet would have 40 calories and would add a point to the recipe.
I believe normally a packet of crystal lite would make up 6 cups of juice so that would be 30 calories not 40, but in any event I didn't think you'd drink the entire blender full yourself. I was thinking more on the lines of sharing and you'd have one or two glasses of it.
The point value then would be no different, since when it whips up with the ice you get around 6 glasses of the stuff (so 3 points divided by 6 would still be .5 point).

For those who have tried this...
would this be good mixed w/vodka or tequila for a frozen drink??
I really enjoy margaritas but they are SO high in points.

I tried this today. It was yummy and made a ton. I shared it with my DF. Even he liked it and he doesn't usually like any of my WW foods.

I made it yesterday with the tangerine/orange flavour. I only used 1/2 the packet because I found it a bit over powering. This tasted just like an orange creamsicle. It was WONDERFUL. I LOVE this recipe.

ANNE: actually, there is a WW margarita recipe that i got at a local meeting that tastes EXACTLY like the real thing.
It's 3 servings, and each serving is 1 point (so if you drink the whole thing it's 3 points).
1 can diet white soda (think diet sprite, fresca, ginger ale...)
1/8 cup like juice (more to taste)
1 tube lemonade mix in
10 ice cubes
1.5oz of tequila.
BLEND and enjoy!
(without the tequila it's NO POINTS)

I just tried this. We added some frozen peaches and Torani SF vanilla syrup. I also used light peach yogurt because it is what I had on hand.
It passed the teenager test here.

I need a smaller recipie. Does anyone have any good ones to use for smoothies in the blender, that would only make about 2 glasses full.
