Just say NO! to Frozen Zoodles! BLECH!!!

The question was asked about freezing zoodles so I decided to experiment. I figured they wouldn't fare too well as most fresh veggies get icky. Just in case you are thinking about freezing YOUR zoodles....DON'T DO IT!!!

They turned out WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY YUCKY!!!! They were like slimy little limp worms. BLECH!
Here's a pic of some fresh zoodles with some thawed zoodles. I'm SURE you can guess which is which!!! :D :D

I dont even know what zoodles are but the the ones on the left, the frozen ones i m guessing thats just nasty haha ewwwwyy what are zoodles? hehe:)

Thanks for that experiment! I was wondering about doing that for the Winter when fresh zucchini are hard to come by. Sadly, I'll have to find something else!

I had heard of people freezing grated zucchini for breads, but I guess in breads it wouldn't matter so much...

Yuk, that does look nasty!!!!!!!!!!!
I do freeze grated zucchini(not because I have a garden and grow it :( ) But because I like to have it on hands to put in my omelettes(egg white). I grate a ton and put it in a pam sprayed pot on the stove and cook it down( I bet there is word for this). Then I drain it and freeze it and just take a container out at a time. I do have to drain it again before I use it but its good. I don't necessarily taste the zucchini but it adds bulk to an omelette!
