Our leader started our program with the example of a grandfather teaching his grandson to tend and nurture his garden with care. His grandson wanted to see the seeds and water grow plants NOW.The lesson learned was one of Patience. What did we expect when we walked into our first WW meeting? Some may have expected to lose 20-30 pounds the first week!We wanted to lose as much as possible as fast as possible. But factors that may influence our weight loss include:activity, how much you have to lose, and each person loses at a different rate. How can we keep our expectations realistic? Has anyone ever become so impatient while waiting in a line that they have left the store without buying what they intended? We may walk away from the program if we are impatient. Instead we should focus on: Exercise,Healthy Life Style,Healthy Food Choices,Water, more Fruits and Vegetables in our diet, and Clothes in a smaller size. If you don't think you are making progress she suggested looking at your Tracker with your points for each day listed and see how far you have come. The weight will come off. Have a wonderful OP week-end.

Speaking of "wanting it now", this reminded me of a true story. When my DS was in preschool his class visited a garden nursery. Each child was allowed to choose a pack of seeds. DS chose PUMPKIN seeds, and there was a picture of a PUMPKIN PIE on the packet. As he checked out, he asked where the WHIPPED CREAM was because he was going to need some to go with his pumpkin pie! ;) :D

Sounds like it was a good lesson at WWs~
