Prayers Urgently Needed for Family

Please keep a family in my church in your prayers; the 14 year old son was electricuted on Thursday after chasing a ball over a fence and across the railroad tracks. He started to fall and grabbed for a wire that was close and it was live. Three friends suffered serious burns when they tried to help him, but it was too late to help him anyway.

This child just graduated from 8th grade, was a a good student, well liked, and had a future in football. My older DD went to school with his older brother. We went to the funeral home last night and they are not coping very well. . . Please keep Elaine and Gary, his parents, Ben, his brother, and Joey in your prayers. Please also pray for his classmates who are having to deal with this terrible tragedy at such a young age.

Thank you all for all your prayers and thoughts. It's now a week later and still this family is in trouble. I particularly worry about the older brother. He is 21 and there was 7 years difference in age. . . he is not doing well at all. I think he saw himself as the protector but he wasn't there. . . and right now his parents are in so much pain I fear they don't see his. He was drinking at the funeral and is using that as his escape. . . please pray for him to begin to heal before he becomes the second tragedy.

I will be praying for this family. My uncle lost his wife 2 summers ago, and then his 14 yo son last Thanksgiving, so this really hits home.
