I found this very interesting, thought you might too...
"More energy (calories) is spent digesting and absorbing high fiber foods. In fact, if you increase your fiber intake to 35 grams a day, you'll automatically burn 250 calories a day, without exercising more or eating less. And fiber helps move food through your system more efficiently. This means fewer calories are left to be stored as fat."

Ever heard of The Alternative Bagel? They are 1 pt. each and contain 7-8 grams of fiber per bagel. I have found these to be a very tasty way to get more fiber.
