Do the people around you (loved ones and friends) support your weight loss efforts? What are some things they do (or you WISH they'd do) to show their support?

DF and I exercise together. It's a great motivator!

DH will take long walks with me. This exercises our bodies and helps us keep emotionally connected.

He's always willing to help me figure out how to get lots more veggies into my diet. VEggie consumption is his soapbox!

My DH is very supportive. He happens to love cooking so he's the one who usually makes dinner. He's always including more veggies in dinner and helping me make sure my portion sizes are what they should be.

I've yet to get into the groove enough to incorporate exercise into my daily routine but he's said that he'd support me in whatever I choose.

Its nice to have him on my side.

MY DH does support me. He has taken the foods that tempt me out of the kitchen and kept them out of my sight. He has gotten me a gym membership. (That I do use) He has gotten better at trying new recipes that are lower in fat.

My sister has been great support. She is doing WW at home and has been wonderful. Just by sending kind emails and helping when I am in a low spot.

So what my husband doesn't provide my sister does. Which has been so wonderful.

I am lucky enough to be part of an at-work WW group. This is not only convenient, it means that there are co-workers that are in the same boat as I am!! There are a few who are such great support and have given me so much encouragement that I simply thank God for them. Some of them are currently in my group and some were in a group from 2 years ago, but they all know the struggle and have cheered every pound I've lost right along with me. My 5 week total is 12.4 lbs. lost, and I am thrilled and excited to be in this group and in this program.

My DH is also very supportive, and I'm lucky there too since he goes along with anything I cook--or don't cook!! He loves steamed veggies and he hasn't missed the pasta and rice dishes I used to make almost every night. Now we have fish or chicken and lots of veggies, and he thinks this is wonderful. He has also lost a few lbs. and he thinks that's great, too.

Hope all of you can keep a positive attitude with or without extra support--but remember, you always have lots of support right here!! :D graemlins/thumbup.gif

My DH is extremely supportive of me!! I have come along way in the last 12 months and I know it's because I have had 100% support from him all the way.

He's just wonderful, and even pulls me up when I do silly things with my plan.. like not eating all my points !!!!

The only thing I wish he would do for me.. is join me in the morning/evening when I go for my power walk :D

well, everyone i know is very proud of me which keeps me motivated, but no one has really HELPED me in my journey. luckily, i am a great self motivater. i have lost 15 pounds despite all the food pushers in my life (just 5 more to go!!)

if i could choose, i wish my boyfriend would join me in trying to be more healthy. i think that would really motivate me more.

My DS (11 years old) is SOMETIMES supportive. He reminds me about exercise, and asks "how many points is that?"--usually when I don't want to know how many points something is.

I have food pushers at work, but always bring my lunch and have been happy with everyone's compliments.
