What motivates you to keep on working toward goal? (Even on those challenging days/weeks!)

I have put up pictures of outfits that are cute and would love to wear oneday that I would not wear now. There are some that now I would wear but I want spend that kind of money till I am at goal. The other is to be able to participate more in the outdoor activites of my singles group. Before WW I could not do any. And the last is to for me to like who I am and look like so that when I meet a guy that I like that will show thru. Plus I plan to sign up on eharmony and I need not have to pay for WW to be able to aford it.

We're going to Europe this summer and doing a lot of walking. I want to make sure that I'm in shape to enjoy it! graemlins/wave.gif

Great topic! I'm curious to see what everyone's responses are. I've been OP for a little over two years now and am seeing the "light at the end of the tunnel" and if I'm being honest, the motivation factor has been getting tougher for me. Ya know, you get to the point where you're feeling better, wearing the things you were aiming for, the Wow, you look great's aren't coming as often and those "highs" you get from it all aren't as frequent. In addition, the nagging little voice of "aww, you're in great shape, that one little slice of cheesecake isn't going to have an affect on YOU". All that said, of course, I wouldn't change a thing, because I DO feel great and I've worked dang hard to get there. I'm finding I have to keep it interesting and everchanging. Whether that be changing out my workout routine, finding a new healthy food to incorporate into my eating, new recipes, new goals like toning a particular body part, researching healthier ways of eating. I've also created a list of things that I'm thankful for (that I continue to add to) since having lost weight and they are all good reminders for me that I don't ever want to go back to the way I was feeling before.

What is motivating me over the next 6 months is my 30th Birthday in September !!!

My goal is "THINNER AT THIRTY" hopefully to be 132lbs or at the very least 143lbs. smile.gif

My motivation...
I have the sweater I wore when I was last a reasonable size for my weight. I don't want to wear it again, just fit into it.

I have a before picture of myself. To show myself how far I have gone.

I have a picture of a virtual model in my goal weight to show me how I may look. (Its a better tool for me than imagining.)

I have a charm bracelet that I get a new charm for every 10 pounds lost. This is something I can touch to bring me back to my goals and motivation and make me think.

I have a box or jeans stored away and the label on the box actually says "Ginny's goal pants"!! I have a long way to go to get into these, but I know that I can do it.

I also have a picture on my desk at work taken last Christmas. It is of my husband and me and I look like a big round ball in a white sweatshirt!! Looking at this really helps me get through the mid-morning and mid-afternoon munchie times--along with some baby carrots!!

I think I may take some of your ideas and use them for inspiration. I especially like the idea of a charm bracelet with a charm for every 10 lbs. lost. I could also add a special charm for every pant size I go down. I will have a pretty full bracelet by the time I reach my goal.

Everybody keep up the good work and fight the good fight!!! :D graemlins/wave.gif
