Morning all!
It's MUGGY and wet this morning. No fun. I know within about an hour i'm gonna be turning the AC on...but it wouldn't do any good yet unless I turned it down to below 65. It's supposed to rain today, but I'm not sure for how long.
Last night I went through a bag of clothes my MIL was getting rid of. A lot won't fit, since she has a much shorter body than I do, but I think some of the pants will. I'm wearing a pair of capris from the bag, which is good since I was down to 2 pair shorts, (one with many holes) and 2 pair capris, and one of the pair of capris is LOUD and looks like PJs so I don't wear them often.... I hate my wardrobe!
I think later this week when DH and DS are at the mens retreat I'm gonna take the girls shopping <G> THey all need shoes for church, one needs sneakers, and 2 need pants. Sigh. $$$$$
I forgot to mention that this weekend at my retreat, I had 4-5 people comment on my weight loss. One is from my church, and she sees me every week, so Im not sure why she is just noticing NOW, but with the others (people I see at camp in the summer) I've only lost 4# since they saw me... of course, I also biked up a mountain, hiked nearly 30 miles and biked 62 on that trip, and have biked about 100-150 since then and walked who knows how many? (let's see, average about 3 a day, times 5 days a week, times 5 weeks.... 75 miles of walking?) It sure felt good to get the compliments, tho! NSV! My concern is last time that happened (last summer) i went into a plateau (got cocky) and then GAINED it all back... but I don't plan to do THAT again.
We wont know on the girls auditions for about 2 weeks. I am sure they got parts, just not WHAT. As the peanut DD was the 2nd smallest kid to audition, I KNOW she will be the Arabian Mini Doll again <G> She's such a cutie! Oldest wants a couple particular parts. I hope she gets at least ONE of them! No pointe for her in the nutcracker yet, she's too short for that audition. (next year?)
Judy, both antihistamines AND decongestants can dry you out. Claratin doesn't seem to do it to me, but anything else does (benadryl, any over the counter med...) Poor DH, losing his water! At least it was available to you, right? Does DH do WW with you? Congrats on your loss! Awesome work!
I am a bit confused as to WHY so many people are having such good losses with flexpoints. For my weight, the target points PLUS the flexpoints, if I were to spread them out evenly, total 2 pts more a day than what my max was before. So why would it work? I did have a 1/2 lb net loss last week, when I did WI on THurs (lost the 2 lbs from the 2 previous weeks plus another 1/2)
CHouchi, I WISH the grocery delivery would put it away, but they don't . Until this am, I had forgotten the other advantage I found in it-- I can exercise while they are scheduled to come, and that's an extra hour and a half a week I have now to exercise in <G>
Hope your cough is better today, Chouchi.
Pat, I hope your tired family got through the day ok. ANy naps? I tried 2x yesterday to nap, first time the older 2 dds called from auditions, they were done. After I picked them up, tried again and DH called to say he was on his way home from the leadership meeting at church. Sigh. SO we went for a walk in some conservation land, and that perked me up.
SOmeone asked last week about DH and the church building planning... as leadership, dh will be involved, but not too excessively. We had gotten together a group of volunteers who were doing most of the leg work on that stuff. One is a VP with Fidelity investments, and is very business savy. I guess he reported back to DH yesterday that they have hired the civil engineer, and are getting things rolling. YAY. It'll still be at least 2 years before it's *done* tho. Patience... one of those virtues I'm working on!
Well, time to get going. Have a great OP day all!

Mornin' buddies graemlins/wave.gif man I think I need some strong coffee this a.m....lol I'm having such a time getting myself in gear. I even laid back down for about 90 min after everybody left this a.m. I still feel dragged out tho. Maybe as the day progresses I will, too.(hope anyway) The muggies are back here, too even tho the temps aren't too bad. Had to turn the a/c back on Sat. night. Looks like some 70s temps coming this week(along with Isabelle  )so maybe it can go off again later.

Susan glad the auditions went well. Guess the girls will be on pins & needles waiting to hear what parts they got, huh. Hope they get the parts they want. Will your DS be biking with your DH? That is quite a ride. How long will it take him? Congrats on the NSV at the retreat. Sounds like you managed your food intake really well, too. I'm also baffled by the losses so many are having using most/all their flexpoints. If I did that...I'd gain the wt back in a heartbeat. I didn't do pts the 2 days I was gone but I'm sure I used the flexpts. & I'm paying for it now. The scales are up a bit...again & don't want to come down. I do NOT understand it. I'm trying hard not to go over my target pts unless I have APs to cover it. I think grocery delivery is a thing of the past around here. Haven't heard of that in a very long time.

Judy glad to hear that you're feeling at least a little better. Allergy meds do tend to dry you out everywhere it seems. Do y'all have to fight that awful D.C. traffic every day??? I would go absolutely insane. We went right thru the city both ways as they say it's quicker than using the beltway. Didn't sound right to me. Took us an hr coming home to get thru the city. From D.C. north we took 395 instead of 95. Never been that way before but it wasn't too bad. 95 south was horrid tho coming back. Driver did take US 1 for a while since traffic was crawling on 95. I don't know what kind of rods the guys use but they use artificial bait. It's a bass club & it's a "catch & release" tournament. They have money prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place & then big fish. Depends on how many boats there are as to how much money you win. It is an excellent father/son time but DS has had the love of fishing ever since he was big enuf to hold a little Mickey Mouse rod :D He's taught DH to be a fisherman tho he's not as avid as DS.

Chouchi hope you're feeling even better today. Know what you mean tho about the heat dragging you down. Humidity does me in that's for sure. Hope you'll feel like enjoying the time your DH is off this week. Your yard must be a showcase for the neighborhood/city. It sounds absolutely gorgeous...so much color.

Fay & Sue hope y'all had a good week-end.

Don't remember if I told you or not but my sodium is down another pt...1 below where it should be. So I've got to work harder to get it back up. Will have it checked again right before we go to Fla.(1st wk-end of Oct) It's frustrating because I'm having fluid retention as it is which I think is due to lack of water I was used to plus the salt I'm adding to food. :( Such is life, huh.

Not much going on here today. I need to find a couple of things(or at least look for them)for DH & DS. Need to get myself in gear & go find Leslie

Hopefully I'll be in the gym later. Hope everybuddy has a great OP Monday smile.gif graemlins/thumbup.gif

Good Monday Morning Everyone graemlins/wave.gif Well, not much new this weekend. The line dance class was great...I can't believe how fast everyone learns the routines. At Curves on Friday, I got on the scale and I am UP another pound. So, yesterday, I made some lunches for the week and am bringing salads. I reviewed my journal and saw right in front of me how I ate little things and added up the points. My point intake was more than it should have been...a handful of nuts, a slim fast here and there....so, I am much more aware of this little stuff. Live and learn smile.gif Well, have a great day everyone.

Morning Y'all, cool and clear no sign of hurricane Isabel here yet, thank goodness.

Susan DH rejoined Ww w/me in May 2000 promptly lost over 40 lbs and quit going but he knows the point system and is very helpful to me in choosing point friendly restaurants when we eat out and when we're groceries shopping. He needs to lose some again but everyone has to lose in their own time so I guess he'll get on board when he's ready plus he's so tall he can carry a lot of weight and not look overweight. DH has claritins so I used some of those last week too. I felt so bad I was trying everything. I also don't think there's any more groceries deliveries around here either. Good luck to the girls in their ballet positions quests hope they get the parts they want.

Pat we sometime use 395 on the weekends to go shopping and to church. Mostly we use 295 or MD/VA routes like 301 or 7 to get around and avoid 395 and 495 as much as possible, especially going south near Springfield or Woodbridge. Old US. 1 and US 50 are a good alternative and we use those as well. Some days no matter what we use there's traffic from say an accident or construction. Last week during one the many severe thunderstorms we've been getting lately the power was knocked out including traffic lights. The morning commute in the rain and dark was a nightmare. Sorry to hear your sodium is still a tad low. Have you tried drinking some Gaterade or some other similar type of sport drink? It may help.

I use my flexpoints and APs to vary my daily point range sorta like the "Wendy Plan." I usually eat the most points on the weekend, APs plus my target point on exercise days, and at least my target points during the rest of the week. A saturdays could be say 22 target+ 7APs + 10 or 15 flexpoints=39 or 54. Sunday could be say 22 target + 10 flexpoints= 32 and I would still have 10 to 15 flexpoints to divide among my none exercise days if I needed them. So that sorta how I've working the flexpoints. Hope that helps.

Faylene, Chouchi, Sue and everyone else I hope you have a good OP day and drink some water.

Judy
