Mornin' buddies graemlins/wave.gif and thank goodness today looks to be better weather-wise than yesterday! It's 64 out now & doesn't feel humid so I've opened up the windows again. I should be getting APs for opening & closing the windows all the time...lol Yesterday we had some dandy storms & 3-4" of rain. Also a tornado or funnel cloud was spotted near our county airport about 3. So some of the kids got held over at school till the danger passed. It was mostly elem. kids who get out later. DS was already out & gone on his way. Now it's to be mostly sunny thru late Sun. afternoon and a little cooler, too.

Susan did the BOY settle down yesterday? Or did he hype the others up. Sorry you had a bad WI this week, too. :( At least you know what's probably causing yours...I don't. Hope you don't have to go back on the pill. The wt gain that comes with that is no fun for sure. Good luck with your church building. Growth is a nice problem to have, right!(esp if it's church) Is your DH going to be involved in the new bldg?

Chouchi so sorry to hear about your DS. Hope he did better yesterday. When will he be able to start on the new meds? Hope you survived the storms ok yesterday. Must've been bad in a lot of places.

Judy how's your DH? He must be allergic to the bees/wasps, huh. Sorry to hear he's had such a time. I think those mushroom things are due to all the wet weather. We get them too when we've had a lot of rain...so we've had them this summer, too. How was the work traffic yesterday afternoon? Hope you made it home ok. Good luck at WI this week. Do you bowl tonight? Hope you have the nice weather we're supposed to have this week-end.

Hazel it's nice the little restaurant you frequent is willing to be so helpful with WWs. Wish they were all like that. How did you enjoy Curves? There's one in the city my DD lives in...about 20 min. from me.

Sue it's nice that you've worked with some of the folks before that you're working with now. How long a job will this be? Will DD have to go to daycare every day?

Fay good to see you back again yesterday. Sounds like you're working the program well again. Hope you have a good WI this week.

Yesterday a.m. my birthday GS called to ask me to his party on Sun. but he didn't know what time. Then Little Bit wanted to talk. It was really funny...he kept asking me if I was coming to his house to his brother's party. Then he wanted to know if I could come over & play. So I told him I'd have to wait till Papa could bring me. Then late afternoon DD called & said the cake & ice cream would be last night since all the boys' practices had been cancelled. So we got to see everybody last night...except Little Bit who'd gotten in some trouble & had been sent to his room where he'd fallen asleep. :( They'll all be at the race track today. My son-in-law sponsored a car this year but due to the rain, the guy didn't get to finish qualifying  Busch races are tonight & Winston Cup tomorrow night. WC is sold out. Both DDs will be there.

Hopefully we're taking Mama to supper tonight & my sister will meet us there to surprise Mama for her birthday. But a friend is taking her to lunch so it depends on what she has for lunch as to whether she goes out tonight or not. So my sister is sitting on hold for now.

DS is not happy with his schedule at school this year so he's trying to switch some classes. Said his computer graphics/arts class will use the computer very little(??) I think he wants to switch his Eng. from honors to AP. Don't know if the office will do it or not. Hope so for his sake.(and mine!)

Hope I make the walk with Leslie this a.m. Will hit the gym later. Hope everybuddy has a great OP Friday smile.gif graemlins/thumbup.gif

Morning all!
I'm going to be a bit hurried, since I want to get out in the next 10 min to take the 2 daycare kids for a walk before the other 2 arrive <G> It's sunny again, so we get to play outside today too. They went stir crazy yesterday, and I wound up using the tv as a bordom buster!
I managed to get behind this am in spite of starting out early. Can't figure that one out! I thought I was gonna have 20 min or so online before DCKs arrived after my shower, but I got done JUST when they are supposed to be here. Hm. Maybe my clock is wrong???
The Boy didn't settle yesterday, and the rest ended up loud and wild too. I am hoping today will be quieter, since we can get out and burn off some of that energy. He's staying a bit later today, mom has a meeting after school.
Tonight I forgot I have to rush DS to an orthodontist appt, and squeeze it in between daycare(4) and ballet at 5  I am thinking of seeing if DD can ride with the neighbor to ballet... unfortunately I wont know til after 3. sigh. But that all means no bike ride for me tonight, like I was hoping for. So the walk will be it for me in the gym today.
Pat, a tornado sighting must be scary!! We very rarely have them up here. Hurricaines, but not tornadoes.
Glad you got to see your GKs for your Bday. How nice. and HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Did you post yesterday that it was your day and I just missed it?
Judy, I shoot for 9+ glasses of water, that's why 6 isn't making it for me. I have so much water retention that I need the extra.
I hadn't heard anything about Madonna and Brittney kissing. GROSS! I never listened to either anyway, but that's just disgusting. What is Madonna's child going to learn from this stuff her mother does???
Hazel, I always find I have more energy when I exercise.
Sue, glad you could check in in spite of your business. Glad you like the people you are working with , too.
Faylene, how was WI?
Chouchi, I hope DS had fewer seizures, or even none, yesterday.
Have a great OP day all, Im off to walk

TGIF graemlins/crazy.gif graemlins/crazy.gif This was a great week...short and sweet. Well, the Curves is going real well. I am 51 years old and my heart rate should be (according to their chart) between 14 and 17 beats per 10 seconds. 14 to start and 17 after the three sets of exercises. I just make it to 17, so I think I am doing O.K. I am going every day for now. I don't work too hard on the machines, I want to use them correctly so I am going a little slow, plus I don't really want to work up a big sweat and then go back to work like that. I notice some women change clothes and such, but that seems like too much trouble for me. I work on a construction jobsite and the clothes I wear to work is probably the same clothes you wear around the house, clean but comfortable. So glad it is Friday. Have a great weekend everyone. graemlins/wave.gif

Afternoon all, it's clear, dry and just a beautiful day today. The traffic wasn't bad at all last night I guess everyone got to the mall in the afternoon and stayed until after dark and the rush hour traffic was cleared out by then.

I got more info on what it was all about. The Redskins/Jets were playing the 1st game of the entire NFL season in Washington so this was an NFL kickoff celebration. I don't ever remember anything this elaborate before. It was televised and there were all these celebs performing, before the game and at half time too, I think. I fell asleep trying watch the game so I didn't see the half time show. But wonder of wonder the Redskin won. I guess the Jet's 1st string qb having a broken arm before the game didn't hurt, but I have a lot of respect for "Vinny's" game so I wasn't counting them out.

Pat I thought you were saying it was your B-Day also, but now that you mention your seizure I do remember that happened on your B-day. So how'd the B-Day celebration go. Do you have trouble resisting cake? Probably not, you're always so good and OP. What's the latest on Mama's building permit or is that a sore point? What's the "AP" stand for regarding the class DS wants to switch from honors to? Do you know if those mushrooms go away when the weather dries up?

You know we've been having tornadoes watches a lot lately too. LaPlata, MD was declared a national disaster area last year after getting hit by tornadoes and some homes in Waldorf were destroyed earlier that same year. So we take those warnings very serious around here too.

DH dr. put him on pregnoisone(sp)and some topical ointment? also he told him to take an otc anti-histamine(sp)so we hope this gives him some relief from the insects' sting reactions.

You know I've been trying to remember to ask you? Where did you find a muffin tin with 24 cups sections. I want to make your muffin recipe but my tin only has 12 and that's all I've been seeing in stores.

Susan I like to drink at least 10 glasses myself, and I don't feel down as long as I get in the 6 Ww's recommends cuz I can always try for more the next day. You're right water is the "secret portion" of weight loss, so it's good you make it a top priority. Good luck in hitting that 9 glasses mark the rest of the week. Yes Brittney and Madonna evidently "french" kissed each other at some recent awards program and then Christinia Aquiulleria got in on the act and Madonna kissed her too. It was all over the internet the other day. What was the point? I don't know. I thought it was gross too and totally inappropriate especially since these are "teenage idols" supposedly.

Chouchi read your post after I finished posting mine yesterday sorry DS is having such a rough time with his meds. I bet those seizure are pretty tough on every body. Have they changed his meds or just rise or lower the dosage? Here's hoping it's resolved soon. (((Hugs)))

Faylene, Sue and everyone else hope you're having a great OP day and remembering the water.

Judy
