Mornin' buddies graemlins/wave.gif Looks like Susan & I have been playing the waiting game. I didn't know if she was here before me or not so I've been waiting for her to open up. Guess she's done the same. So if we double post...sorry. It's gonna be hot & humid again today with heat index around 100. I had to turn the a/c back on about 3 yesterday afternoon. Before that there was a decent breeze but then it got still & hot Looks like rain is coming in tonight on thru the rest of the week(chances anyway).

Susan how's the sting this a.m.? Hope you've gotten some relief. Did DH have a nice birthday? This is a busy week here for things like that. Guess you'll be back into a routine now that summer is over & it's back to school time, huh.

Chouchi sounds like you might've had a little more energy yesterday. I get spurts of energy it seems. Feel good for a while & then all of a sudden I'm drained. A lot of times I just make myself go & do the things that have to be done.

Judy so good to have you back yesterday. I've seen where y'all have had some really bad storms. Sure glad the tree didn't hit your house  How's your DH after all the bee stings? That can be pretty miserable. Your aerobics classes sound like quite a workout...and over 30 years? That's super. But at least it doesn't sound boring. Keeps you moving I bet, huh. Glad y'all at least got a sunset for your anniversary dinner. Will your DH bowl with you even tho he's not managing this year? It's nice to be able to do that together.

Sue glad to hear you had a nice date with DH and your DD did so well with the babysitter. Nights out are important when the kids are little.(or not old enuf to stay by themselves)

Fay hope you had a good week-end. Was your DH home over the holiday?

DH got the grass cut yesterday a.m. Took him a good part of the a.m. Then last night we got out & raked most of it. I trimmed some forsythia bushes out front, too. Other than that we just pretty much bummed around. DS went to GF's house till time for her to go to work. Then he came home & slept nearly till time to pick her up. They came back here to watch a movie & then went to get ice cream before taking her home.

This a.m. it was back to the grind. You know DS was thrilled beyond words to go back to school  A brother & sister a couple doors down rode with him this a.m. Supposed to just be the boy but her ride cancelled at the last min. so that's just supposed to be for today.

I'm gonna hopefully walk with Leslie shortly. Then I'll be back to post in the gym. Hope everybuddy has a great OP Tuesday. smile.gif graemlins/thumbup.gif

Morning all! It's cool (55) and rainy today I'm actually in long pants today! (may have to change later, but that's an advantage to working at home!)
Pat, I was waiting for you. I posted in the At home forum, and the 50+ forum, then a friend I Haven't talked to since camp IMd me...
The Boy started back today. BOY are my kids excited to see him!! He's a tad hyper... and LOUD, but thankfully noone was sleeping when he got here! LOL
I found my stretchie band! YAY! I did a WATP express tape today. I had forgotten how FAST she walks in them! Felt good tho
Thanks for the info on Bioaerobics, Judy. I was a bit clueless! SOunds interesting. I wish I had time for classes etc. DH wants to join a gym for the winter, and if we can find somewhere with a decent family membership price, I guess i'll get to go <G>
My sting is still itchy, but not so much anymore, and it's finally not hot to the touch. How're your DHs stings, Judy? I can't believe how much mine itched... I wanted to scratch my skin off!
Pat, getting yardwork done is a nice use of a holiday. If DH and I had realized it wasn't going to rain til supper time, we definately would have gone riding , or trimmed bushes, or SOMETHING. We went to the mall, which gave me a migraine. We were going to have DH's new watch band adjusted, but the guy in the store I'd bought it in was really rude (not to mention having so many piercings it was nausiating-- he had holes in his ears that NO KIDDING,were at LEAST an inch in diameter... it was GROSS. he had these disk things in them...) so we walked out and went to EMS, for their sale. DH and DS bought shirts, and the littlest DD bought hiking socks, that was it.
Pat, my kids are actually anxious to start school. I have to get off here shortly so DS can start! I have to remember to call the school this week about him taking PSATs in Oct.
Did you WI, Chouchi?
Sue, glad you enjoyed your date with DH. I agree, it's something we NEED!!!
Gotta get to work, have a great OP day all!

Hi everyone. Just a short note this morning as life is going to get pretty crazy 'round here. I start up a new contract this week and they told me, last minute, that I need to work at their offices instead of from home. I'm going to WI today but I'm nervous about having gained. I ate my APs and most of my flexpoints, and followed the program faithfully, but I sense a gain. graemlins/ugh.gif I'll keep you posted.

Have a good day everyone, and NO bee stings!

Sue

Good Afternoon Everyone,

It is a cool day and very dreary. I have most of my chores taken care of just ironing again. It is never ending. graemlins/ugh.gif

No special plans for this evening just kick back and relax.

PatYou are certainly having a heat wave. I hope you get a cool streak soon. You certainly don't want to go from extreme to other. ( Summer to Winter) Seems like we went from Winter to Summer this past year but it is fallish now.
I imagine there are many "excited" young people like your DS anxious to get back to school. ;)

I know when school is back in as the door to door canvassing starts next week. Chocolate bars, cookies, tickets, walk-a-thons etc. It gets very expensive because we live in the school district. Two Jr Highs, two Elementary levels, and one High school within a 10 minutes of us. Another High school about 30 minute walk.

If/when we decide to sell it won't take long. We've had several offers and Realtors asking us if we are interested. No, not at this time.

Susan How nice to have kids anxious to get started on studies. I think homeschooling is wonderful and they get that individual attention that they need at times. I know the school systems are crowded but...there are far too many graduating without the necessary skills to make it through life which is very unfortunate to the future generations.
Glad that the sting is getting better and happy to hear you found your stretchie band.
I weigh in on Monday the 8th. My Dr is out of town until then. I hope I see a loss any amount will make me happy. I will be weighing in every two weeks on a regular schedule from next week on. I don't weigh at home it gets to confusing because I am using my Dr's scales which holds me accountable. I find it so much easier to keep OP since doing WW at home. The stress that surrounded it has gone. I am going to stick with the Points program for now. There are several sites that give you the details about the flex program and I may check them out after Christmas.
The ear pierced clerk has the latest piercing look. I've seen so many of the kids around here with these huge holes in the ears and the big disc on one of the holes. That must have hurt. I can't imagine what these kids are going to look like when they reach their upper years with gravity setting in and the ears drooping with these major holes and as one gets older the ears look larger because of scull shrinkage. Should be interesting. :D

Sue Good luck at weigh-in!

Judy Welcome back it is so nice to "see" you. Wow, you've had some very nasty to weather. Thank goodness the tree didn't cause any damage. I can't imagine the discomfort your DH must be in from all those stings. I get chills just thinking about them. Hope he is feeling better today. Your Anniversary dinner sounded very lovely.

Bio aerobics sound very interesting I must check to see if they have those type in my area. You've been doing aerobics a long time you are very committed. graemlins/thumbup.gif

Have a great evening and way to go with 0.5lb loss! smile.gif

Everyone have a wonderful evening!
