Morning all!
Today's DH's bday, 39 <G> Old man! Neither of us slept well last night, and we had been hoping to take a bike ride early today but it's raining. :( Not off to a stellar start!
We had friends over last night for a spur of the moment cookout. It was nice, tho my feet went numb! Happens every time I sit on hard chairs too long, even if I put my feet up on the table supports, which I was doing.
Not a lot going on today here other than celebrating DH's Bday. I am hoping to get the laundry done, and maybe some basement cleaning.
Chouchi, that's horrible to be allergic to vanilla scent! I'd be pretty upset! The flowery ones get me. I got a cinnamon cake one in ME that was very nice -- it acted as an air freshener without even lighting it! LOL Hope you got your rest yesterday so you can get your stuff done today.
Has it cooled off there yet Pat? Dh and I spent about 40 min on the porch again yesterday afternoon. THe sun got hot after a while, but MAN , life is good when you can take time to sit and enjoy the front porch!
The rest of y'all, hope you are having a good holiday weekend!
HAve a great OP day all

Mornin' buddies graemlins/wave.gif talk about being behind...I didn't get up till about 8 this a.m. And I went to bed about 9:30 last night  I didn't sleep straight thru(potty breaks u know)and then wake & sleep early this a.m. but it sure felt good to be lazy for a change...lol It looks like an overcast day out but doesn't feel bad. Susan we finally had a cooler day yesterday. It felt muggy early but when we came out of church about 12:30 I told DH it felt like it had cooled off since we'd come at 8. Very pleasant the rest of the day. When we got home about midafternoon I opened up the windows. Hopefully today will be more of the same. We had a little rain last night but not much I don't think & it was during church. Right now the humidity doesn't feel too bad.
Susan how's your hand doing? That would be awful to get stung thru a glove! It's a wonder you didn't wreck. Sounds like you were fairly successful finally getting the ballet gear bought. Hopefully you'll be able to find the rest of it this week. Gets frustrating sometimes when there's too much to choose from. Nice you were able to enjoy some porch time yesterday. We weren't home long but DH took advantage of the time we were & got in a little nap.(his nap time is the time we're home on Sun afternoons...lol) Mosquitos have been so bad here this yr it's been hard to enjoy the outdoors even in the daytime. graemlins/ugh.gif Wish your DH a happy birthday for me. DD's #3 son's birthday is Thurs., Mama's is Fri. & hers & Daddy's anniversary would be Sat. Busy week! lol
Chouchi sounds like you & I neither one had much get up & go yesterday. Instead of a nap tho I went to bed earlier. Hope you get your steam back today. Thanks for the link to Va. State. Would you believe we're only about 1/2 hr from them! They are about 5 min from our church.
Sue, Judy, Mehadable, Fay, MO4 hope y'all are doing wonderful.
DS finally made it home yesterday about 3 or little before. He called once while on the road to see what the name of the exit was off the interstate & I told him wrong. He'd brought GF & her sister back with him so at least he had her phone. I was uneasy about him being on the road that far with no phone. But God in His goodness took care of that. GF's family had planned to come back yesterday anyway. So he ducked in, got his work clothes & then left to take the girls home before going to work. Now he's off to see her again this a.m. She has to work 1-6 today so I guess he won't be home till after she goes to work. Then he's got to get ready for school tomorrow. AND...be in early tonight...Yeah!
Nothing big on the horizen here today. DH is off & I think he wants to cut the grass if it's not too wet. If he does that maybe I'll walk with Leslie...or venture out on my own outside.
Will be in the gym later. Hope everybuddy has a great OP Labor Day smile.gif graemlins/thumbup.gif

Good Morning Everyone!
It is very cloudy this morning and looks as though it's going to rain. Sept 1st already I am amazed how quickly this summer went. This morning I decided to pull out the ammo(measuring cups, spoon, scales)I've been "eyeing" my portions and I think they might have grown a bit so it's back to the above again. I get weighed in on Monday so hopefully will see a loss??? Today will be a busy day for me and I have energy thankfully.
Susan Have a great day celebrating DH's birthday. When you sit on a hard surface to long you must be sitting on a nerve to cause your feet to go numb. That must be very uncomfortable. Does the numbness last very long? That is too bad about the bike ride this morning. Hopefully the rain will clear and you will be able to go later in the day.
PatWe were posting at the same time so I waited and now I'm editing. That is great that DS had safe trip. School tomorrow, seems it just let out last week. The info about the Bag Worm on Va. State really surprised me I didn't think those little critters were capable of lasting the winter. I exercised yesterday and for some reason I thought I had posted, oh well, you know what they say about aging; the mind is the first to go. lol
Mehadable Hope you are able to post soon. Miss you and I pray all is well.
Judy Where are you? Hope everything with you is well too. Miss seeing you.
Faylene & Sue Hope you both are enjoying this holiday weekend.
Everyone have a great Labor Day!!

Hi ladies! Happy Memorial Day. Hope you all have a good one.
We've had a good weekend. Date night on Saturday was great. We went to a place in town that shows movies and serves food, so I spent some flexpoints on pizza and beer, which certainly made me feel like I was "cheating!" We saw A Mighty Wind, which was cute. DD did great with the babysitter, so DH and I have decided we must have date nights more often.
It's another cool day here, and we're doing work around the house and the yard.
Chouchi, sorry about the onion rings mix-up. ;) I'm a little spacey sometimes.
Pat, glad DS is safe and sound.
Susan, happy birthday to your DH!
Well, DD is calling for Mommy, so see you tomorrow.

Evening Buddies, I've been MIA b/c the thunderstorms knocked out our power for a couple of days, also the "blaster worm" virus got us at work and we didn't have net for several days as well. One of the thunderstorm brought a tree down in our front yard, thank goodness it didn't hit the house. So we've had a time. The anniversary dinner was wonderful nice weather no rain and a beautiful sunset. Had a low keyed holiday we needed a lot less excitement after this past week. I was down 0.5 lbs at WI this past saturday. Didn't get much exercise b/c of power outage but did get to aerobic class saturday morning.
Pat I was glad to get a few more saturdays of aerobics in before the end of the summer. In about a week we'll start bowling league again. DH will not be running the church league this winter, thank goodness. It was stressing him out.
Susan I take BioAerobics during the week and aerobics on saturday morning. BioAerobics is 1/2 hr low impact aerobic dance, 10 minutes weight training 10 minutes floor/mat work, 5 min warmup/cool down. Aerobics is 35 minutes of hi/lo aerobics, 15 min weight training/floor, 5 min warm/cool. I've been doing some type of aerobic class for over 30 yrs give or take a layoff for surgeries.
I hope your bee/wasp sting is healing my DH was cutting up the downed tree in our front yard and was stung repeatedly by bee/wasps he was a mess they had hit him on both shoulders and his right arm and hand. It didn't stop him from playing golf today, tho smile.gif
Chouchi hope you got some rest today and didn't worry about chores, they'll always be there tomorrow. Did DS have a better day today with adjusting to his meds?
Sue glad you had a good trip and you did so well staying OP while gone.
Well another storm has rolled in so I better sign off.
Have a wonderful OP day buddies and don't forget your water.
Judy
