Mornin' buddies graemlins/wave.gif looks to be one of the hottest days of the year so far today according to the weather gal. Heat index 105-110  I think we might get a little bit of a break after tomorrow. Humidity is really bad right now.

Susan how's it going with your family being gone? Enjoying the time to yourself there a little bit at least? I know you don't get much of that these days so I hope you can enjoy some. Hope the rest of your family is enjoying the camping trip. Maybe the rain will go away & not spoil it?? DH's new biker shirt sounds really cool. He'll be stylin' out there riding! Hope your DCKs are doing ok without your kids this week.

Hazel sounds like you might have enjoyed doing the book review. Is this for your boss & part of your job or is this for someone else? Nice you got to try out your gym. That should be really handy. Isn't it a good feeling when you can move down a size?

Chouchi sorry to hear your dr. is on vacation for so long. Sounds like you've got to hang in there a bit longer. Maybe cooler weather will help you feel better. This humidity will zap anybody's energy I think. Hope the new med for your DS will enable him to be able to come off the Topomax easier. Do you think it will? Poor kid does have to take a lot, doesn't he. Has he had seizures all his life? Is he able to work at all? (sorry if I'm being too nosy. If so, just tell me)

Judy where are you?? Miss hearing from you. Busy week?

Mehadable, Fay, Sue, Happy, MO4 miss y'all.

DS has his military physical today for the ROTC scholarship application. He had to be at Ft. Lee this a.m. at 6:45. I wondered if I'd need to be there since he's just 16. (yesterday he went to get a Tetanus booster & dr. office called to get my permission since he wasn't old enuf!) So as a precaution, I made a copy of my driver's license & wrote a note giving permission for the physical. Don't know if it's needed or will work but since I can't drive, I didn't know what else to do. We have no idea how long it's gonna be. I figure the better part of the day maybe or at least the morning. But who knows...

I'm going to WW but not WI. The fluid retention is really bad this a.m. I can barely get my rings off & I hardly ever have that problem. Don't know what's going on unless it's all the raking I did yesterday in the heat/humidity.(I about got it finished tho. But I'm done anyway...lol) I really want to hear first-hand about the new program & get the materials. But I don't want to weigh 2-3 lbs up graemlins/ugh.gif Hopefully Mama will remember to come get me!

DH worked over again last night & probably will again tonight. DS was actually home half the afternoon & for the rest of the day/night. We ate leftover spaghetti from our dinner out Sat. DS had a big plate full & I had 1 1/2 cups & there's still some left! Hopefully DS will be around to take me to church tonight. I think he's planning to be. His GF was hoping he was coming today but with the physical & he has a JROTC staff meeting tomorrow & ballgames tomorrow night, it just didn't work. Now he's planning to go Fri/Sat.

Well, I don't know what I'll do for the gym today but I'll be there later. Hope everybuddy has a great OP day smile.gif graemlins/thumbup.gif

Morning all!
I got off to a slow, late start this am, because my CPR class ran over time last night. :( It was supposed to get out by 10, but went to 10:15, then I had to drive teh 20 min home, and I was STARVING, so i had some popcorn, which put bedtime MUCH later than my normal 10pm! I did manage to get out for a walk this am-- no daycare kids til 9 today smile.gif
The daycare kids are doing just fine without my kids here. The neighbors younger DD was fussy yesterday when Dad dropped her off, but she quit crying before he got to the end of the driveway, and the only other time she cried all day was when Miss Sue decided that an hour and a half outside was enough and time for a water/potty break inside. graemlins/crazy.gif She's finally starting to live up to her name-- Joy. Here I thought before that they had misnamed her. LOL
I have part 2 of my CPR class tomorrow night. This time I'm going to bring some grapes to eat on the way home so I don't end up staying up so late. I wanted to ride this am, but was too tired to get up that early, plus it was wet earlier.
Chouchi, sorry you have to wait and put up with the aggrivation til after the 8th. What a bummer!
The padded bike shorts/pants are worth EVERY penny! You can also get padded bike briefs, for about $14 around here, to wear under regular shorts. THey help a lot too! I prefer the padded bike shorts, because they are made out of coolmax and therefore wick sweat. Before getting the shorts/briefs I couldn't ride more than about 10 mi without MAJOR butt discomfort!
Pat, I'm trying to enjoy the quiet time, but I sure do miss DH. I've been busy both evenings so far, but have tonight to face. I'm supposed to be at Bible class, but am not sure if I can make it since I still have birthday related errands to run before DH gets home Fri afternoon. I think I am going to go for the devotional and prayer time, then run my errands (church is 1/2 way to where I need to go) and THEN come home and take a bubble bath. <G>
Judy, where were you with that nice water reminder yesterday? I only got 7 in yesterday and MAN was I swollen at CPR class! Didn't help that there was no AC in the building... Hope all is well with you
Faylene, any updates yet on your niece and mom?
Mehadable, hope you come back soon... wonder if the power issues 2 weeks ago messed up her computer? Or did she decide like I wanted to to NEVER come back from vacation? LOL
Where did everyone else dissapear to? yesterday when I was logged in, there were 4 visitors...where are all the posts?????
Have a great OP day all, Im gonna enjoy my coffee and then switch to WATER.

Howdy Everyone! graemlins/wave.gif Pat, the book review is a local author that has written 5 books now, and had two little book reviews at a little Italian restaurant in Tustin where I live. The books are O.K., basically easy reading. I support the italian resteraunt (that is the place I am bussing tables tonight..doing that for some sociallizing (sp?) and exercise), and they had this author there to read and sign his books. I bought them and he asked me to review them on his website...so...I said O.K. I have never done anything like this before...and it was fun and challenging. I went to WW to WI last night. Didn't gain, but didn't lose either. Coming in to work this morning...I saw they opened a Curves one block from where I work! I will call later to see if they will take month to month membership. If so, I will probably do it until the end of the year...to kick start myself. I am now behind 6 pounds in my 1 pound a week weight loss pledge. Have a great day everyone! smile.gif
P.S...Well, I joined the Curves here next to my work. Will go tomorrow to learn how to do the machines. Looking forward to being a "loser".

Hi everyone! I'm back from the wedding in Montana...back to the daily grind. ;) The wedding was beautiful, (they got married in Western Montana, close to Yellowstone) and my sister looked terrific. It was pretty crazy though, not at all relaxing, so it's good to be home.

I went to the WW meeting yesterday, weighing in and up a pound, which was to be expected, but I couldn't wait to get educated on the new program. This is the change I needed to get me motivated again. Hope it works!

I'll have to go back and read the Coffee's On entries for the last week so I can catch up with everyone. Have a great day!

Sue
