Morning all!
I didn't end up in the gym yesterday.Instead I ran errands once the daycare kids left, made dinner, then went shopping. I was going to try on jeans to see if I've shrunk a full size yet, and to buy DH a Bday present. Part of his present is going to be buying him a new watch band, but wouldn't you know I forgot his watch?
I struck out on the jeans too. I've been wearing Lee 5 pocket jeans in a 16W. Well, the women's sizes, which tend to be looser in the waist and butt than the same # in a relaxed fit, only come in a 16 and up. Sigh. I tried on regular 16s and 14s... the 14s weren't buttoning, and the regular 16 (relaxed fit) weren't as comphy as the 16w, which are baggy on me now. Sigh.
At least I got DH a present! LOL Bought him a new bike shirt-- it's stars and stripes (called centennial even) and LOUD, which he likes for visibility; and I also got him new bike gloves that are specially for ulnar and carpel tunnel issues (he has carpel tunnel, ulnar runs up to your elbow and is what IHave trouble with, what a pair!)
DH called this am, he and the kids are having fun, tho it rained last night in NH. THey are hoping to climb Mt Washington today, or at least part of it. don't know how far the kids will make it.
Judy, I'm glad you aren't angry anymore. I was worried about that! I do get lots of activity-- mostly biking this time of year, plus walking, and in the winter I resort to Walk away the Pounds tapes and the Firm workouts. I just can't do outside much when it's cold because of my asthma. On my vacation with DH, my lowest activity point day earned my 7 points. graemlins/thumbup.gif
Chouchi, glad you had low point options at the party. I hope your Dr can fit you in sooner!
Pat, did you sleep in today? I thought WI was tomorrow....I know you needed the sleep, tho!
Speaking of that, my scale is up today. 2 #. Glad it's not official til THursday!!!
Hazel, did you get your book reviews done?
Miss the rest of you!!
Have a great OP day all

Mornin' buddies graemlins/wave.gif Susan, we were a little later getting up than we should have been but only about 10 min or so. Had to get DS up after DH left for work. He didn't get the evaluation forms to school yesterday so he planned to do it first thing this a.m. Well, you know how that goes...where's this? where's that? I don't know...you had it last...lol Then I decided I may as well write a check for his school fees($102!) so now he can get his schedule & homeroom assignment. Then he has to go to dr at 9:30 to get a tetanus booster. So had to give him a check for that co-pay. Good thing DH is working some overtime!

Susan how did the DCKs do yesterday when your kids left? Sounds like you had a busy day. Glad your DH & kids are having fun. Hope they don't get rained out today. My DD called yesterday and they were having a grand time, too. Boys had been out fishing since 7 and she'd just come in to fix breakfast(about 10:15). Said it was beautiful there. Said today they may go to a state park & do some hiking.(they're in mts, too) Wonder what's with these scales today?? Mine were up 2# also. Sure hope they go back down before tomorrow. If not, I'll go to meeting but not WI. I want to hear firsthand about the flex pts. My cousin e-mailed me & said she wasn't impressed. But then she didn't follow the program in place well, either.

Hazel how'd you make out without power? You don't realize how much you take it for granted until you don't have it. My sister's went out Sun. as they were getting dinner together. Fortunately it was done for the most part. When we got there, no power. She lit candles to put on the table & as we sat down to eat, the power came back on. Transformer had blown.

Chouchi you really are having a time aren't you. I hope you'll be able to get in to see the dr soon. Sorry to hear about your son having the seizures. Doesn't sound like he'll be able to come off the Topomax. Does he take anything else for seizures at the same time? Sounds like you had a very nice time at the party Sun. Nice to have it so WW friendly.

All our other buddies...I MISS y'all graemlins/crazy.gif

Yesterday DS put in an application at a new sub shop that's opened up near his school. It's called Quizno's(?) He's really hoping to get on there as he's fed up with where he is. And the new place pays better. He's making minimum wage right now.

DS has a military physical tomorrow. He has to be at the Army hospital at 6:45. Have no idea when he'll be thru. He called to try to find out but they haven't called back(had to leave message) Then Thurs. he has a JROTC staff meeting at 10. Girl said they'd probably go out to lunch, too. So he's really having a hard time finding time to go see GF. He'd wanted to go tomorrow after the phys. & come back Thurs afternoon(ballgames Thurs. p.m.)but I think the phys. is gonna take the better part of the day. So now I guess he'll try to go Fri. & come back Sat.

Don't know how many will make our cook-out Sat. Whoever shows, shows. My oldest DD has to work 11-7 that day. At least 2 of my sister's boys won't make it. DS will probably either be gone or working. Hopefully all my brother's kids will be there as we rarely see them.

The cool weather has disappeared. I had the windows open overnight but by this a.m. wished I hadn't. I shut the windows & the a/c is back on. My rings are tight, too so that's why the scales are up I guess. Not fair right at WI time! graemlins/ugh.gif

I'm gonna try to walk with Leslie in a little while. If I get too warm, I'll just do cardioglide later. Hope everybuddy has a great OP Tuesday smile.gif graemlins/thumbup.gif

Howdy Everyone graemlins/wave.gif Well, the power is back on...and I did get my book reviews done. What I did was look up other reviews regarding other books and authors and used some of their words. I am not a writer and needed some help. I think Jack Eadon (the author of the books I reviewed) will be pleased. The power was off approx. 5 hrs. and all is back to normal now. smile.gif Have a great day everyone...

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I called my Dr and she is on vacation until Sept 8th so I will have to wait until then and put up with the aggravations. Sunny and warm today with a light breeze. Don't need the AC which is great. DH is on duty again tonight and tomorrow night the shift is long 4 PM - 8 AM. He will be off from Thurs until Monday morning. It is so hard to believe that next Monday is Labor Day.

Susan The bike shirt you bought for your DH sounds nice. I am sure he will love it. I have to work hard over the winter so I can buy a new biking outfit in the Spring. I have no idea where my gloves are I usually strap them on my helmet but for some reason I didn't or someone took them off and placed them somewhere else.?? I want a nice pair of those padded pants. I was checking them out and they are very costly but very comfortable on long rides.

Pat DS will be starting a new med very soon it's called Keppra. He takes 100 mg of Topamax AM and 200mg PM also 2-100mg Lamictal AM&PM, 30mg and 40mg of Clobazam AM&PM. He is on very high doses of anticonvulsants. He gets tired very quickly because most of them cause sedation.

Judy Where are you? Miss seeing you here.

Hazel You must be happy to the get the review done.

Everyone have a great day!
