Mornin' buddies graemlins/wave.gif and a hot muggy one it is this a.m. Already over 75 and smothering outside. I had to stop my Leslie video after 2 mi as I was sweating too much with the a/c on & a ceiling fan going! Dr. said I have to be careful about sweating too much because of the sodium. The sodium was right on the line & the chloride was down 2 pts below the level. And don't have a lot of time this a.m. as I slept a little later than I'd planned & we have a wedding to go to today(sister's oldest son) in Martinsville which is about 3 hrs. away. Plus I need to try to give DS a haircut before we go as I think he needs it before going to camp on Mon. and he didn't want to go to the barbershop this a.m.

Susan know what you mean about the grass. That's how ours was before I cut it Tues. It really needs it again but we won't be home to do it today & I can't get out there & push anymore so maybe one night next week? How's your MIL doing? Must be frustrating not being able to navigate all that well. Would a walker be any better? Sure hope she gets along ok. That's a while to have to be off your feet. How's the job search coming along for Uncle?

Chouchi I'd be lost without my glasses I know that so I can imagine how you feel. You have so many things going on at one time. ****{HUGS}}} Can you get any relief from the shingles? Hope your Dad will be ok till you can get over there again. Is there anyone else to help out?

Judy hope you got your sprinkler system installed yesterday. How was WI this week? Seems to have been a good week except for me. But hopefully mine will change next week. Oh, & I bought some of the caramel Viactiv last night & they are really good! Thanks for the tip.

Sue congrats on the loss this week. Any loss is a good one.

Hazel wish I could join you for the line dancing class. I always thought that looked like fun. I know nothing about any kind of dancing really. Never knew how & have 2 left feet to boot. tongue.gif

We did our weekly Wal-Mart run last night after supper since today is out. It was so smothering when we came out of the store...unbelievable. After we got the groceries, etc. in & put away we headed out to DS's softball game. They were playing the team they've been tied with most of the season & who is now 1 game below them. They split a double header last night. Our team blew a 13-0 lead to lose the first game by 1 run so they were all ticked & ready for the second game. I think they won that by the slaughter rule! So DS was pretty happy about that since now they're still in 1st place.

Guess I'd better get moving here & get to the gym. Hope everybuddy has a great OP Saturday smile.gif graemlins/thumbup.gif

Morning all
Just a quickie for me, as I'm supposed to be on the road in a few minutes to head up to camp to pick up DS. DH left on his bike at 5:30, hoping to get in 50 mi before I get to pick him up <G>
I was reading in the At Home waiting for Pat to finish opening up, and got a lengthy phone call from the person who was head cook this past week at camp that REALLY ate in to my time. ugh.
Uncle Tom may have found a job! He walked into a high end shoe store 2 towns over, and turns out he is EXACTLY what the owner is looking for... but he needs to discuss it with his family. (I guess it's a family run thing) Tom is psyched at the possibility-- i guess his deceased best friend was also a friend of this store owner...and there is even the possibility of Tom buying the store eventually! He'll know more next week
MIL is in a lot of pain today. I told her she should call the dr, she wont. sigh.
Have a great OP day all!

Good Afternoon Everyone!

It is nice here today. Sunny with a nice breeze. The temps are high but with the breeze it is bearable. Still using the AC 24/7. It would be smoldering without it. DH is working so not much planned for this evening other than giving my bathroom a floor to ceiling and everything in between cleaning.

Pat Is there anything you can do to up your levels any? I know when you sweat you lose so much sodium/potassium/electrolytes what about a sports drink to replace the lost minerals? I hope your able to get them back up mid-range and they stay there. I hope you have a wonderful time at the wedding. I have ointment for the shingles and it helps a little today I find my back in throbbing I may take a few tylenol and have a nap before I start the bathroom.

Susan I hope all goes well for your Uncle with the job. Sounds encouraging. Discounts on shoe purchases too. ;) Your mil should listen to you and call her Dr. Maybe your DH can get her to make the call. I am sure they give her something to help her with the discomfort. Hope you had an enjoyable trip picking up DS. How far did your DH make it before you arrived?

Judy Hope you are having a great weekend and were able to get a bit stenciling done.

Everyone else have a great day!

Hello, ladies!

Not much to report today, just the basic weekend cleaning. DD (2 years old) is running around the house in her diaper since it's hot and humid today. Wish I could run around with that little on!

Couchi, DH had a case of the shingles several years ago when he was under a lot of stress. It was very painful, so I know what you're going through! Watch the itching; DH has some scars on his torso.

Pat, hope you have a great time at the wedding! Drive safely.

Judy, the stenciling sounds like fun. I just joined the board, so I don't know if you're doing crafts or stenciling a wall, but have fun regardless.

Everyone else, have a great OP day and get your water in. graemlins/wave.gif

Afternoon all, it's humid here too and we've had our now normal evening thunderstorm. The sprinkler system was installed yesterday they will have to come back out Monday for some adjustments b/c one of the water meters broke and had to be replaced immediately. Thank goodness it happened right away we were able to get the company to hear and see what was going on and the water inspector came out right away to eliminate whether it was a problem with the water main, etc. DH is a happy camper tho, we got a really good price(probably b/c of all the rain this summer and the low demand) it's a combination sprinkler and drip irrigation system-- suppose to make better use of less water and have less run off.

I stayed the same at WI this week that's fine, especially after our road trip last week.

I'm going looking for those stenciling crayons and a set of stenciling brushes this weekend anything that'll make this process easier is for me, thanks everyone for the tips and suggestions. I'm using the plastic sheet cutouts for most of the walls but I've got one fern design stamp too just to try out b/c I'm going to try to do a border around the top of the walls of the adjoining bathroom.

Pat glad you like the Viactiv calcium chews. I've been doing much better getting in all my milk each day and staying within my points. Dairy products are sorta trigger food for me.

Chouchi hope your meds are keeping you comfortable you've really been sorely tested lately. Also hope DS is doing well coming off his old meds, and hope he enjoyed his DQ cake. DH and I love DQ also but there aren't any in our immediate area so we always pull into one when we're on the road traveling.

Susan great news about Uncle Tom's job prospect. I hope it all works out for him and this job comes thru. I wish your MIL a speedy recovery. How's the ankle coming along?

Sue I'm hoping this stenciling is going to be fun cuz I would like to do some more of it in other rooms. I'm a HGTV junkie and I've got a million ideas I want to try. WTG on your loss this WI.

Happy congrats on you .4 lbs loss -- a loss is a loss I always say. Keep up the good job getting in your exercise.

Everyone else have a good OP evening. Won't you join me in a glass of water?

Judy
