That would be wonderful, Kat, I am in Mesa from October until end of April each year, otherwise I am in Iowa... Yeh.. I know most people don't even know Iowa exists... tee hee.. I have 28 pounds to lose, and I just can not get the motivation to do it... I have been in WW'ers for years and still have not been a good trooper... I am going tonight with a friend and maybe this time I will be able to do it... hope hope.. And then when I get in Mesa the end of Oct...Maybe??? we could go together one meeting and meet and get inspiration from each other??? Well, I sure need it.

How funny. My dad is the Town Manager in Vinton, IA, so I know! :p I'm originally from RI, and no one thinks that's a state, even though it was one of the first 13 colonies! Hello!!!!??? RI, not Long Island! haha
We'll have to do that!

Kingman is...uh...well....not really a whole lot of anything! Its just kinda there! Lots of desert and not much to do from what I remember passing through it. Lets hope that you prove me wrong! Why move there? Military?

Kat,
Well, my husband just started a new job there in Kingman. I did go down to visit last week and think it will work out just fine. We are tired of Washington winters and want to be close enough to visit our daughter in Calif. without dealing with the high cost of living there.
We live in such a rural place right now that by comparison Kingman seems alot better. It certainly is warmer but I actually like it warm.
I have heard Mesa it really nice too. It would be great for some of you to get together.

Hi,
I just moved to Kingman, AZ this week. I really like it so far. I appreciated leaving my snow shovel behind in Washington.
Need to find a new WW meeting here. Have my work cut out for me with boxes and boxes to unpack or store. They are now piled up in the garage and we can't seem to find anything right now.
I have my daughter visiting from Calif. for Christmas, am starting a new job, learning my way around, and am very much feeling overwhelmed by it all.
But my family is here all together for Christmas for the first time in years and years, so I am extremely contented today.
Hope everyone else is having a good day today also.
Any other Arizonians poking around the board?

I'm in Avondale if anyone wants to meet. I do it by myself at home and could use a buddy to exchange food ideas and maybe work out together as well.

I'm in Gilbert, and attend the meetings at Gilbert and Southern in Mesa. But we have a cabin up in the Pinetop area, not far from Show Low.
Anyone go to Lifetime Fitness? I'm always looking for workout buddies!

I go to the wednesday 10:30am meeting (the one with all the toddlers, mine included, running around).
Both my parents are from Iowa (Fort Dodge and Iowa City), and I went to law school at the University of Iowa. There's a lot about it that I miss.
Lifetime Fitness is a really wonderful gym here. I go to the one at warner and Gilbert, but there are a few other locations around. They have huge, shiny, gorgeous facilities. Tons of equipment, dozens of classes, three large pools, two hot tubs, an incredible free daycare... all for about what I was paying to attend LA Fitness. Plus it has less of a dating meat-market feel than LA Fitness had. I love it!
