?? regarding The Alpha Course

Hi all,

I was wondering if any of you have taken the Alpha Course through a church and if you have, what you thought of it? I've just taken the first two sessions and I am enjoying it as I was not raised in a Christian background at all. I am now at an age where I feel I need to look into a relationship with Him. Any advice or book recommendations would be most welcome.

I haven't taken the course, but have read the book - it is fabulous. The basics of being a Christian don't get covered in sermons very often, so the program covers them well.

My brother and sister-in-law have been involved in Alpha in Shawnee Mission, KS, for about 5 years, leading one or the other leading a table every time. They love it!!

How do you handle the meal they serve? Can you find out ahead what they are serving so you can plan?

Good morning.

Thanks for thoughts Millie and I'll be sure to PM you if I have any questions. I am just enjoying the atmosphere for the meetings so much right now. We have a pretty lively discussion group and it's fun to ask questions and give your own perspectives on things.

Dianne as far as the meal goes I don't know what they are planning in advance so I try to eat light during the day and watch my portions sizes. It's hard though as it is a wonderful meal.
