GF sidenote: Please, please try veggies on the GF. Like, peeled, sliced sweet potato, spray with ICBINB, I season it with Cajun seasoning, use whatever you like. It will 'cook' right alongside your salmon, chicken, etc. Also, sliced zucchini, plain spuds, etc. I too, love my GF, & give it alot of credit for my successes.
The more I 'experiment', the more I love it. I keep in on the counter, 'in-the-way' so it's handy @ all times. I learned how to clean from Murrikat, some time ago. Spray, alot, with water, paper towels, place on grill, unplug & close lid. While you are having dinner, it is 'steam-cleaning' itself clean !! That wannabe spatula that came with it, I threw away the 1st week. Hope this helps, I'm in charge of my future!

I just bought a GF Grilling machine Friday. So far it has been used daily, the entire family loves it. Thanks for posting the websites. I, too, keep mine on the counter, where it is in site and useable daily.

Can you go over the exact steps in cleaning?

Do you spray the paper towel, then lay it in there and close the lid, with it unplugged?

I've been cleaning mine the "old fashioned way" and it's no fun. I get little sticky cruddies on there every once in a while that don't wanna come off, especially after doing terriyaki marinated chicken breasts.

I'm real anxious to try the veggies!

Any other hints - tips?

I don't ever buy papertowels (talk about throwing money away! LOL), so I just use dish towels. I have a ton of them so there's always plenty. I just wet the towel with water until it's just to the point of dripping and then put it in the GFG. Then I either let it hang over the edge of the sink or put the little fat catcher under it in case the towel drips. After a little while....oh, an hour or so......I come back and clean it with a sponge. It's too easy!!!
