I don't know how many of you are familiar with this kind of stuff, but I wanted to share some good Not-baby related news with you guys!

Last school year I decided to pursue National Board Certification for teachers. This involved hundreds of hours of outside work and lots of projects and portfolio development. I also had to go and take an assessment that lasted all day on a computer...

Anyway - I turned all of it in last march, but scores were just released today and I am SO PROUD to tell you all that I passed everything and am now officially Nationally certified!

All it really means is that my teaching certificate is good in about 20 states (for 10 years), I get a 6000/year pay raise, and I might even get my picture in the paper! ;)

Anyway - most of you have probably never even heard of national board certification for teachers, but it is a HUGE deal for me so I wanted to share it with all of my BCB friends! :D

That's AWESOME Stephanie!!!! I have a lot of friends who are teachers, so I can imagine how hard you worked and how important that certification is!!! (not to mention how great the extra $$ is too).

Congrats, and I hope you and baby Zadie are doing well!!

Stephanie,

That is great! I am in my first year of teaching, so I know how much work goes into all of that stuff (and it takes FOREVER to get back your results, too!). Anyway, I am not a new mommy, but I like to see what's going on with the other boards and I thought I'd pop in to offer my congrats.

Come see us on the t-20s board again sometime!

Take care,

Kristin
