Hi, I am having my baby on September 13th and was wondering about the nursing points? I am a WW liftimer who has not been able to check in for the last nine months and of course I gained 50 pounds with this pregnancy (same as last time). I was wondering if the nursing points work? I basically have six months to get back down to goal. I would appreciate any info in this. Thanks

I don't know what you mean by "if they work" - but I am still nursing my 17 month old and still taking 2 extra points/day (she only nurses twice/day now) and am still losing weight. When I began WW in February, she was 10 months old, eating solids and still nursing 5 times/day - so I ate all 10 extra points. She just dropped down to 2 sessions about 1.5 months ago, so I slowly reduced my points from 10 down to 2. Under the new program, I am not supposed to be eating any extra since she is eating solids - but I will continue with the extra 2 because I feel that nursing moms do need the extra calories. I have lost almost 41 pounds since February and my milk supply has been fine. So, I guess I would say - YES! The nursing points do work. Under the new rules, you should eat 10 extra points until your baby is eating solids.
Congrats!!! I hope the rest of your pregnancy is boring as can be and that you are able to get lots of rest and relaxation.
