I have asthma and take Advair and Singulair every day. I'm told me Advair is a steroid. I've been a VERY slow loser...determined, not giving up, but slow. I celebrate when I lose more than 1/2# a week. Has anyone else run into this? Do you have any tips for me? I already excercise, I never eat AP points...but I'm hoping for something else. Is there holistic foods...do I give up Flex Pts, too? I am determined to make this happen! Ps...doc says there is not another med that will work as well for me.

I have asthma and MS so I use steriod inhaler and have to take oral sometimes too. You will be a very slow loser, but you will lose. Just have to stay with it. Drink lots of water...

I take Advair and Singulair for my asthma, too. I'm Lifetime, but it was slow. My average loss was 1/2 a pound a week. Hang in there. You can do this with those meds. As the weight came off, my asthma got better, too. Your MD might want to give you a higher goal weight than WW. My MD wrote up a goal weight that was more in line with my asthma meds. He decided what would be healthy for me. WW accepted that with no hassles.

I've also found that a little more protein and a little less carbs works better when trying to lose with asthma. Not an Atkins diet, but protein seems to help the weight loss.
