This year when I went for my yearly well woman check up, I told my doctor I had been having pain on the lower right side. Come to find out, I have a fibroid tumor in my uterus, and she said something about my system producing little "tumors" when I ovulate and that is where the pain is coming from. She prescribed "Micrinor" for me, which is a progesteron - no estrogen in it. I was just wondering if anybody else has taken this??? I'm not sure I want to. The pain is tolerable, and it doesn't interfere with my life. TOM is awful, and she said this would make TOM more bearable. Just not sure I want to take something like this - especially a hormone. My mother had breast cancer, and I worry about hormone, risk, etc. My doctor said estrogen is the "bad" hormone, and progesterone is okay. Guess I'm just fishing for advice!

Thanks!!

Is this like an IUD? I take the other one,but right now I can't think of the name of it...but it too starts with an M.. smile.gif

Mine has a small amount of prgesterine on it,and I love it!! It has helped me to stay calmer, less moody, sleep better, and not eat out of control. Now I was told that Progesterone doesn't affect you like Estrogen does. I think it's safe and they only put a small amount in your system.

No, it's not an IUD. It's a daily pill. It is a progesterone "mini-pill". Just wondered if anybody is on something like that, and what side effects they experience.

Thanks for the reply!
