Looking for an alternative to corn chips to have with my "salsa addiction," I came up with the idea for "pita chips." They are wonderful!

*2 Whole Wheat Pocket Pitas (mine are 2 points per pita, but check the pita bread you use for yourself).
*Pam Cooking Spray

Cut the pita in half and section open the halves so you have four thin half-moon-shaped sections of pita bread. Do this with your second piece of pita bread as well.

Cut them into triangles (size of corn chips) and place on a baking sheet. Spray them with Pam Cooking Spray and cook under the broiler for 3-5 minutes (depending on how "crisp" you want your chips). Watch them carefully so they don't burn.

Depending on the size of pita and how large you make your triangles, you will get about 36 chips = 4 points! DELICIOUS! Great TV snack with 0-point salsa.

Rene'-
Thanks for the fabulous idea!! DB is from the Middle East so our kitchen is constantly overflowing with pita :D - when you eat it as much as we do it gets a little dull- but making chips is great - a new twist on an old favorite!! smile.gif
