I got this recipe from the
Prevention on Women.com Something to note is that the nutritional facts do not include fiber so it is impossible to calculate points from this recipe, however, from other hummus dishes, with the same ingredients it counts as 1 point for 2 tablespoons. I figured from the ingredients that the total amount equaled 13.5 points.
Ingredients:
1 (15oz) can of chick peas (garbanzo beans)
2 tablespoons of tahini (or sesame oil)
2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
1 clove of garlic
1/4 teaspoon of salt (optional)
Nutritional Facts (per serving):
74 calories, 0 mg of cholesteral, 2 gm of fat
Serves 12
Preparation:
Drain chick peas, reserving 1/4 cup of the liquid.
Rinse and drain chick peas. In a blender or food processor, blend or process the reserved liquid, chick peas, lemon juice, tahini (oil) and garlic until smooth and creamy. If desied, salt to taste.
Enjoy!!!
