I'd like to try making oatmeal in the crockpot. Any suggestions? I was thinking that diced apples might be a yummy addition.

Hi! I tried this out last night as I had all the ingredients and have been wanting some oatmeal. It didn't come out very well. I don't know if I did something wrong or what, but I found it to be pretty bland and the texture was not to my liking. Let me know if you try and what you think. Maybe I didn't mix it right or something!

I just posted a Pennsylvania Dutch Baked Oatmeal recipe under the miscellaneous section. It can either give you some ideas for additions to your crockpot oatmeal, OR...I don't see why it wouldn't work as an crockpot recipe for overnight?!

If anyone tries it, let me know how it is, okay?! :D Carol
