I was watching QVC today and they had a great Crock Pot Cookbook for sale. The title is "A Potful of Recipes" and it is by Joanna Lund along with the main course recipes, it has everything from appetizers to desserts in it. Each recipe includes the nutritional information so we can calculate points. The iteem number is F-27119 and it it only $13.86 plus shipping and handling. I have several of her cookbooks and all the recipes are delicious and easy to make.

This is a really great cookbook!! I bought mine at Costco about 6 months ago, but I have also seen it in bookstores. She uses alot of cream soup in her recipes, but she also has alot of variety. I highly reccomend this cookbook too smile.gif

Does anyone know of any other crockpot cookbooks? WW should come out with one, if they haven't already. I know I'd buy one!

At WW meeting on Friday, my leader showed us the new WW Crockpot cookbook. I looked through it and it looked great. So I would ask about it at your next meeting. smile.gif

Rival has a Crockpot cookbook also but it is older. It does have nutrition info but not the fiber. I believe there are recipes on the rival.com website.

Another website with Crockpot recipes is www.frugal-moms.com

Joanna Lunds message board does not have a lot of activity but one member has a link to many many recipes she has put on line from Joanna books. There is a search with tons of recipes. The gals on there are great about posting a recipe from the various cook books and newsletters of Joanna. Joanna responded to a post a while back that I thought was quite interesting when a member had overcooked food when she used the directions from the recipe. Joanna said many of the older crockpots cook a lot hotter on low than we think. So 8 hours of cooking may indeed dry out the food. Ebay and half.com may have some of her books for sale. You also can buy them off her web site.

Joanna has a new book due out by the holidays on cooking with Splenda and I believe there is one coming out sooner 'chocolate'. All her recipes have nutrition info as well as exchanges for the diabetic. There are a lot of W W on her message board.

:( My leader said we may not get the ww new crockpot book as they are only doing a limited amount of books. This is not fair. All of us ww'ers should be able to get it. I am going to email the ww headquarters in ny about this.
