Yum, I initiated myself into slow cooker-hood with this recipe and it was great. What a joy to come home to dinner already cooked. I love it, I'm much saner when I'm cooking at 11 am before going to work than I am at 7 am when I'm tired and hungry.

This was really yummy. QUESTION: How much sauce can you use to stay within the 5 point limit? There's lots of extra in the pot.

This is wonderful!!!!!!!! I made it for dinner tonight and my 11 yr old loved it. The best part is the "gravy" that it makes to spoon over the meat. I added one serving of brown rice for a total of 8 points. Thanks Dina......keep them coming!

Last week I made this with 8 oz light sour cream instead and added a can of cream of chicken soup. It was good. I don't know why you couldn't eliminate the sour cream all together if you don't like it. I also added a can of mushrooms and served it over No Yolks noodles. It was yummy!

sounds like this is a "must try" recipe.

Where I live I'm unable to get low fat sour cream so I'm going to try Nutty Nurse's suggestion of creme fraiche (sp?) (thanks)

for the low fat soup in this recipe and others, should I just use reg soup and not worry about fat free?

And while we are on the topic, any ideas how I can make pureed pumpkin? No pilgrims in Japan, but I was fortunate to find pumpkin pie filling. Any ideas?

thanks in advance.

Okay..Count me in also. I've just got to try this. Dina W posts some great recipes!
Has anyone tried Dina'a eggplant parmesan? It has become my DH's favorite recipe for eggplant, and he is really fussy about this.

Thanks Dina. Of course I will come back to tell you how we all like it.

Have a great OP day. :D

OK, are we sure this is only 5 points??? There is like a TON of sauce with this. At 4 servings, there's still a TON!! We ate it, but felt guilty.

It's an awesome meal for sure!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news because I love this recipe too, but 5 points is correct if you are talking about the sauce only. That does not include the chicken which is 1 point per ounce. I double checked my figures and here is what I came up with:

Onion Soup mix - 0 points
Breakstones Fat Free Sour Cream - 14 points
Campbells 98% FF Cream of Mushroom soup - 5 points

If you split the sauce into 4 servings it is just under 5 points for each serving.

That is a lot of sauce so I never really use that much, but I just wanted to clarify this for everyone. I know I made some mistakes early on and want to save someone from being disappointed - so SORRY graemlins/ugh.gif .

The good news is that you can still eat it and it is delicious. It's one of the dishes that my whole family loves and I don't have to hear any complaining. :D :D

Made this last night and really enjoyed it. DB especially enjoyed it and took some to work with him to eat again that night.

I found it just a tad salty, but I didn't add the full 16oz of sour cream and I wonder if that would have taken the edge off.

Served over brown rice with green beans - YUM! But next time I'll cook up some wide noodles. I couldn't stop eating the sauce!

Thanks for the recipe!
