Hi, I'm about 8 weeks old, I've lost 16 lbs thus far. My question is... I'm a country girl and I love biscuits. I would like to find some with very low point value. Any Help?

Here are a couple that my Mom passed along to me from a meeting she went to. Being from the south I'm not sure they'll work for you but they're easy enough to give them a try. Good luck.

Easy 1 Point Biscuits

Serving Size : 2
6 tablespoons self-rising flour
3 tablespoons skim milk
1 1/2 teaspoons nonfat plain yogurt

Set oven at 425 degrees. Mix ingredients together, spray pan with nostick spray and drop biscuits onto it. This recipe make 2 biscuits. My leader suggested spraying the tops with nonstick butter flavored spray but with or without they are excellent. I like to put a cup of strawberries over them. Bake for 10-13 minutes

Lite Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuits
(These are best when eaten warm.)

Serving Size : 12
2 cups reduced fat Bisquick®
3/4 cup nonfat buttermilk
1 cup reduced fat cheddar cheese -- shredded
2 tablespoons Fleischmann's Fat-Free Buttery Spread
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley -- crushed

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Combine the baking mix, milk and cheddar cheese in a medium bowl. Mix by hand until well combined. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions (about 3 tablespoons each) and spoon onto a lightly greased or nonstick cookie sheet. Flatten each biscuit a bit with you fingers. Bake for 18 -20 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits begin to brown. In a small bowl, combine the buttery spread with the garlic powder. Heat the mixture for 30 seconds in the microwave, then brush a light coating over the top to each biscuit.

NOTES : 2.5 WW points per buiscuit.

Pilsbury Buttermilk Biscuits are only 1 pt per biscuit and they taste great! They are in the blue can, not the GRANDS!

Momof4, I made those 1 pt. biscuits last night but I added 1/2 tsp. of baking soda to the mix to make sure they puffed up good and big. They were good. I added some FF ham and cheese to them (one point for each) so my biscuits came to 2 points per and I had both of them for lunch today instead of a sandwich. Delicious!

Wheat biscuits 2.5 points each, makes 14

3/4 cup white flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1 cup heavy cream

Mix all the dry ingredients. Gradually pour in the cream while mixing with a fork to form the dough. Knead on a floured surface 10-12 times. Press out by hand into about 1/4" thick, then use a biscuit cutter (I used a small rameken) to cut into rounds. Put these on a baking sheet sprayed with Pam. Bake for 12-15 minutes on 400 degrees F.

These are a little high, but so much more worth it than store bought biscuits. I keep the extras in my freezer for "emergencies". Add a little spray butter and YUM!
