Fantastic 30s
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
1/2 cup raisins
3/4 cup 1% milk
1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
1 tablespoon 1% milk
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2. Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl; cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add raisins, toss well. Add 3/4 cup milk; stir just until dry ingredients are moist.
3. Turn dough out onto floured surface and knead 4 or 5 times. Roll dough into a tube and cut into 12 biscuits. Bake for 11 minutes or until golden.
4. Combine powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon milk; stir well. Drizzle over biscuits.
Yield: 1 dozen
Serving size: 1 biscuit

My kids love this recipe! I have made them as cinnamon biscuits and left out the raisins and they are just as good (points are the same per MasterCook). I have also substitued craisins with great results. Hope you enjoy! :D
