Good morning y'all. I want to post bf I walk on treadmill bf work. Baby shower for 3+ hours yesterday. I stayed OP. Thought of my commitment to WW and kinda my mom getting on my nerves helped. I didn't stress by eating junk but concentrating on the shower (my niece).
I hope all of us have an excellent Monday.
Sorry, but I gotta go walk. graemlins/wave.gif

Good Morning GBTG Buddies! http://www.dearbornheightsraiders.org/Odie2.gif
It's the start of a new week! Now, how do you all feel that you did last week? Anyone disappointed? Proud? Any lessons learned?
I guess I am proud. Wait...I know I am. Even though TOM has crept up on me...just in time for WI day, my spirit and energy remain postive and motivated. I'M READY FOR ANOTHER WEEK....BRING IT ON! http://www.dearbornheightsraiders.org/toothybounce.gif
I will say that my DQ Banana Split was good, but 10.5 points? I dunno...I could make one at home with my 1-point-per-serving ice cream and probably use half the points. Another lesson learned would be about the Baked Oatmeal...so far this has been my most filling breakfast that carries me until lunch without nervously looking for something to munch on. So I'll be making more of that tomorrow. (I have school this morning..no time)
I didn't use even half of my Flex points...but as I said...TOM......so my WI results are TAINTED!!! I only show a .5 loss.
Cheryl39 - Good for you for surviving that baby shower! graemlins/thumbup.gif
Maybe you outta hang out with DM more often. No? http://www.dearbornheightsraiders.org/GrimmFreezing.gif
Have a GREAT week everybuddy.... graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Good Morning Buddies, graemlins/wave.gif
Here's to a great OP Week for all!! graemlins/thumbup.gif
Let's get moving.
This past weekend was a little difficult for me, but not too bad. I feel that yesterday was the biggest struggle as by evening I was really hungry. I did get a 3M walk in. I think that that TOM may be creeping up on me a week before it is scheduled (again). My body feels a mite puffy today and I am very tired). We did have an exhausting week, however.
Tonight is WI. I have to get my workout in right away this morning as the little darlings will be here today after preschool and there will be no time. It is only going to get up to around 48degrees today so we will not be outside for too long.
Well I had better get going and get moving,
Have a great OP day all and I will be back later as time permits. graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Hi everyone,
I'm going to be MIA for most of this week, though I will try to stop in at some point. Work is insane, got about 1-2 more weeks at this pace but I can handle it because this isn't forever. So don't think I've fallen off the wagon. My plan is still to maintain my journal.
I've lost a pound last week (maybe more, I ate breakfast before my home WI when I usually WI on an empty tummy!) so I am motivated!! I will not let the excuse of being being derail me from being OP. Actually, I'm too busy to eat!!!
Have a great OP week everyone, and I will try to check in at some point.

Hi buddies,
I had a pretty good week lastweek, what I learned? "don't go shopping and buy candy "for the kids" and get somethign I like!" I still waiting for an email from darefoods Limited on the nutrional info for those Evil summer candy!! They were good but I know they weren't nice to me! 15 strawberries and 25 bananas! I totally didn't need those! but I kept my eating to "OP" for the rest of the day, only ate simply for supper for the evening.
So on to a new week. As for TOMand AF they better get their buttS over here soon, CD25, last round was CD23, usually for the last year it's been 24 or 25, I've seen traces of them but really they have to show!!! or well that could explain for sure the 5lbs in 2wks!
OK on to the rest of the day, if TOM an AF don't show this week, I'll keep up the healthy eating plan, IF anyone wants to Send TOM and AF my way please do but really if they dont' show I'm not going to go nuts, what will be will be. smile.gif I'm still happy with me!

Good Monday morning Goal buddies! The start of the week, lets make it a good one. Cheryl39 those showers and parties sure are challanging arn't they. Good for you for staying on track thru it! And mothers have their own special challanges. Whenever I talk to my Mom about weight loss she falls back onto "you're eating too much" or "just eat 16 points a day" (like I could survive on that!}; she just doesnt get it; so in one ear and out the other. Cheryl that banana split sounds good but kinda point pricy. Thank goodness we know how to make meals and treats that are just as good for much less points. Ok heres my good thing for the weekend. I went to Walmart and picked up a pair of jean capris. Looked at them, thought they were cute, grabbed a meduim and took them home. Guess what...they are too big! Have to return them for a small. Now thats the kind of not fitting I can live with! I still have trouble with seeing my body as it really is. Other than that my weekend was mostly at home relaxing and taking care of home chores. Yes I did start the fence painting. I have about 12 feet done. Its a long fence. I am about 1/4 done. At least its started. I am hoping hoping my truck is fixed and back on the road today. Wendy good luck on your WI tonight. Do you attend meetings? I sure miss those but traded the $40 monthly fee for a Tai Chi class which is $40. Its will be nice when I am back at goal and can attend without paying. Have a wonderful day everyone!

C'mon Kyoot...don't start the week on this note. CAN CAN attitude.....CAN CAN! Repeat after me.............. CAN CAN!! http://img14.photobucket.com/albums/v41/raidermombcb/drill.gif
Jenn - That's GREAT that you lost a pound! Good for you! graemlins/thumbup.gif
Sandylee - Woo Hoo on the capri victory! There's ONE time you don't mind having to run back to the store because something doesn't fit, right? :D

Hi all,
Yes,Sandylee,I do go to a weekly meeting. Most weeks I feel like it really helps me to stay accountable. I would like to save that $34.00/mo and allocate it somewhere else. I help out at the meetings as a "member helper" (I do all of the receptionist duties I just do not get paid)right now until I GBTG, at which time I will probably resume receptionist duties and take Leader Training to become a leader. I have worked for WW off and on for the last 10 years. When the weight started to go up during pregnancies I would take a leave until I got back to goal (Have not been to goal for over 4 years). This is it though I am on my way to goal and cannot wait to get there.
I just wanted to ask all of you buddies a question.
How many of you go to an actual WW meeting every week? And how many of you do your WI at home once a week?

I use my money for the gym....so I WI at home. My scale is actually OVER what the WW scale was...but I'm sticking to my scale for now. Also my scale only weighs in .5 pound increments. :( It is an accurate and reliable scale though...Tanita.
My WI's are Monday which is what my WW WI's were....
wendyj
04-26-2004, 04:25 AM
Thanks for responding Cheryl graemlins/wave.gif
I will have to check out the Tanita scales. I am not sure what brand I have. It is digital and weighs very close to the WW scale,it also has a Body Fat % feature, which I do not use as I really don't think it is that accurate.
I am really considering not going to meetings as the support here is so great and I am doing very well. I can always go to a meeting if I feel that I really need it. I could allocate that money towards an elliptical machine and clothes :D .
BTW~~~Everyone in my house likes the Baked Oatmeal graemlins/crazy.gif I made a double batch yesterday thinking that I would have plenty and as of this AM there are only 11 left. I guess I am glad that they all are eating healthy. :D This is a good thing!
This week is closet cleaning week at our house. I cannot stand having all of these clothes that are too big and out of style, not to mention the childrens clothes that are wearing in the knees and that DS1 just does not like because they are not a football or basketball jersey, as well as not a brand name. He is also growing like a weed right now and I am not going to wait another 8-1/2 years for DS2& DS3 to be able to wear any of it. (They are 8-1/2 - 12-1/2 years difference)
Cheryl39~ I can totally relate. I am helping plan a M/D brunch at church for Sunday morning. I invited my DM, but she usually has 1001 excuses(I am the only daughter and live 3 hours from them, Praise be to God!!)Yesterday she informed me that my DF will probably be bringing her, but I could tell by the tone of her voice that she is just not excited. For a woman of 57 years she acts like she is 100+. I love her dearly, but she drives me a little bonkers and stresses me out. Thus caller id on my phone ;)
I have another question I am going to make some OP stuff for this M/D Brunch on SaturdayAM~~~ I have a great fruit salad recipe, but would like to also make a main dish, does anyone have any"OUTSTANDING" brunch ideas that are OP? Any ideas and recipes would be appreciated. Thankyou in advance! graemlins/clown.gif

Hi Back again,
Yep CherylR "if" there is in if in my life every 23-27days until Menopause and then I guess there is always those "change of life" babies that I've heard of. LOL Dh and I are of the "well what ever happens happens camp" OK truth be told I'm more into the idea than he is but he goes along with me for 12years now. I;m responsible for the tracking. It was kinda funny because this cycle the EAster bunny and myself were dropping eggs. LOL checked out my numbers again today and yep CD25. Still waiting. Then there is the write it all down or call my mother trick that might work, maybe I'll call her this afternoon that should add to the "mabye" pot!
As for OP if you take a cute Gander at my Journal you might notice I start my weeks on Thursday, I've been allocating 3Flex perday then putting them back if AP are in and I'm cruising on the AP this week YAY!!! so being at 22+3 for the today Tues and Wed will keep me OP. As for th Bananas and Strawberries. In Canada Nutrional Information is not required so finding points for some things that are is so frustrating. When I live in the USA!! USA!! USA!!! (oops can you tell I miss it?) it was so much easier to find what I wanted and even if I had something figure it out and put in down right now my journal here reads 15 strawberry marshmellows and 25 bananas and a ? mark. The days other points are 19+1AP so 20 eaten and my target is 22. I went in to Sunday with 4Flex used out of the allocated 25 and 10 "emergencies" are they really emergency points in the pile so Sunday did for the most part go well, and I thinkif I ever hear back from DARE I'll find out what those points are I can add them in correctly.
On to more OP

More reply, LOL I didn't mean to ignore eveyrone, I'm a little Selfcentered today.
Chery39 smile.gif I know exactly what you mean in the mom department, My dad helped me thought he gave mom her WW prepaid plan as an anniversary gift since she was constantly on me and my sisters about our "weight". Dad is lifetime, my mom paid for his, my sister is a member going down! mom paid plan agian but she didn't want to spend money to do it herself while harping on us about our points! and should you eat that so Dad who still goes to the meetings and listens to other woman and how hard it is to stay in the game, be in the game and stay on the winning team (lifetime) got mom going. Now she "gets it" and understands what we as higher BMI people struggle. smile.gif I love that my dad thought of it and that when I call home I can talk to him about what he hears at his meetings compared to mine, what mom hears and what my sister hears. smile.gif
Wendy, I go to my meetings and weigh in almost every week, this month I didn't weigh in after Easter and when Iwent in last week up 5lbs! in two weeks. Oh and I don't weigh on my scale at home much at all. Just when I go to clean the downstairs bathroom which is dh's department and where the scale lives (less gravity pulling down on it down there)
Jen I hope the crazyness at work gets better soon, we're here when you get a chance to hop on the comptuer (ohhhh HI mr/ms boss person reading over JEn's sholder) tongue.gif
SandyLEE! AWSOME work on the "Returnable" capris!! I'm proud of you and I can tell your proud of you too!!! Way to GO!! Everyone give me a CanCAn for Sandy!!!
Now let me think Brunch??
What about Breakfast Cornmeal Cake?
1.5cupts Cornmeal
1.5cups All purpose flour
2/3 cup sugar (could replace with splenda?)
4tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
mix make well then mix up the wet stuff coming next and stir just until mositened.
1 large fork beaten egg
1 large egg white again forkbeaten
1.5cups 1% buttermilk
1/4 cup hard margerine melted (if they melt it why does it have to be hard?)
when mixed put in a lightly greased 9X13inch pan?
Then is says 1/4 cup of Jam
so use 1tsp jam and drop in 3 rows of 4 making 12 and push jam into batter slightly bake at 375F for 35mintues
until poked and toothpick comes out clean,
now based on the original ingredients
247Cals, 5g protien, 4.9g total fat 1.2sta and 19.1mg cholestrol and 265mg sodium. I think if you use half salt, replace sugar with splenda and apple sause for the margerine you could modify that lower?

I still need to get that workout in. The little darlings are here and I think that I will get them all set up for lunch and then workout where I can watch them as they eat.
I have to go through our checkbook(ARGH! ) I need to balance it. I kinda hate that job and always think that there should be more in there.
An update on my friends mom~ She is still in an induced coma, but may be brought out of it slowly in a few days. Her lungs are healing. She had many puncture wounds, but I guess that the tubes that were hooked up to help her breath had a lot of bubbles in them a couple days ago and today there are no bubbles. This is very good. Her reflexes are good, but they just do not want her to move at all and give the body as much time to heal on it's own as possible. She can breath on her own as well. Thank you to all who have been praying. It is greatly appreciated.
Have a good OP day graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

I wish I had a picture of them, but the kids ate the last of them. smile.gif They are little strawberry shaped candy but are white marshmellow on the inside and RED on the outside, The Bananas are mashmellows yellow shape but you can get peanut shaped ones too, they are made by Darefoods Limited but do you think they list them in their online product listings? NOOOOOO I have to go and "contact us" smile.gif I'm still looking for them I want this solved.
As for TTC nope just Natural Family Planning, if I get preg I get preg if I don't I don't but I watch myself like a hawk! and so does DH when I'm not. LOL So usual I get 24 or 25days a cycle but today is day26, and I think I better call my mom, LOL that usual works like a charm. So I'm not upset if I am and not upset if I'm not. clear as mud?

hi GBTG buddies! Better late tnan never! Monday is a workday and then i had a dr. appt (she was running late then had to stitch up some guy's head!)so my 2:15 appt. was at 3:45....so much for my afternoon. I was telling her (maybe i was whining)about my increased anxietyabout everything; can't sleep, can't concentrate and my depression is worse. Anyway we decided that there was too much going on in my life and that it would prob resolve itself. I hope she is right ......I was feeling like I was headed for the looney bin. I am waiting for an assessment for a cochlear implant, my dd and grandkids just moved 1500 miles away, my dh is now working half days so is underfoot and adjusting himself. We are both on disability so there are financial issues......need I say more. Added to that is the stress of trying to lose the lb. to GBTG....and no one can tell me it isn't stressful! Add to that i came off HRT a month ago, started having hot flashes and night sweats again so I am back on HRT (see what you younger guys have to look forward to? I am 59) Add to that, along with my deafness and all of its accompanying joys(??) I have SEVERE tinnitus....it is like Niagara Falls with a rock concert in the background in my head. Add to that insomnia and there in a nutshell is a recipe for insanity. I am NOT whining....just the facts, ma'am, just the facts! BCB is the only sane place I have to run to right now so I appreciate all of you. With all due respect to myself, I lost 2# last week! Lots to go but it is OMOHOD at a time. I WILL GBTG!!!!!!!!!

Hi, GBTG-People! graemlins/wave.gif
Let's see. I've been BUSY! We are having SUMMER weather here?! And it is gorgeous. So, Saturday and Sunday were outside, all day. Planted tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant plants. Used "wall-o-waters" to protect them at this early stage...They're made of plastic, circle the plant, and are ribs filled with water (very time-consuming! ). This keeps the plant warm during the day, AND will prevent freezing during frost at night! (I usually don't plant til JUNE!) Also weeded my 4X8' raised beds (13); that was an easy job.
Got a stevia plant to use for "sugar" (300 times sweeter than sugar)! You "bruise" a leaf and it sweetens a drink. graemlins/thumbup.gif smile.gif
And I have decided to spend less time on the computer. For now I'll be coming on at night (most likely) to journal for that day.
Emotionally this was a very hard week-end. Today is looking up. And I'm getting some support, mid-week.
I did not go to my meeting today. I did not journal over the week-end. Today I did great on food choices and journaling. graemlins/bcbsalute.gif I'll head over to the journal section now~ Had the most amazing Wild Chinook Salmon for dinner~ tongue.gif

Good evening buddies,
Wow so much to read and only Monday! I feel like I will fall so far behind with no BCB access during the day. Oh well, I'll live with it.
I had a normal Monday, work and band and more work. Gotta keep those cheeks in shape. Dd's swimming has started again as well. We got the meet schedule for the summer.
Lessons learned? I need to watch over-doing the exercise one week (say my vacation) because I tend to turn into a total slug the following week. So I'm proud of myself for going to band tonight, after over-doing on Saturday. I want to work on a consistent program. Same for the eating.
I need to check out this baked oatmeal you guys are raving about.
No TOM for me, I have TO"whenever." I'm in the third week, so any day now (or not).
Cheryl, there's no way I could finish a DQ banana split (I guess it helps that I don't like bananas). I like to make sundaes at home with less ice cream, but always the real thing.
Sandy WTG with the capris! I never buy anything I haven't tried on. Sizing is so inconsistent.
I don't go to meetings. I probably should, but I am not comfortable being over goal with the usual leader. She's pretty negative if you've gained. Very disapproving. There are 3 or 4 meetings a week I could make during work or lunch hours. So I WI at home. I'm up this week. 7 to goal. 30 days to birthday. Very discouraged. (I was supposed to be at PG by Easter, remember? PG is 6 under goal.)

Good morning buddies. Yesterday was a very good day; lets go for another.
Carol, that is some very early planting. I also post less in the summer bc of all the yardwork...sounds like you're still alittle in a funk.
Sandy, graemlins/thumbup.gif on smaller capris. I personally think sizes at Walmarts run smaller (or closer) who knows with women's sizes  Great job you got started on the fence. Its the starting part on any big project for me. Once I start its alright but to get there.
Cheryl, I plan on making the chicken barley tomorrow. You and Carol gave high praise and I have it all to make. Boy, you be a bootin' mama yesterday :D . Crack me up. graemlins/bcbsalute.gif you and thanks.
Kyoot, that is great you did a walk last night. Very cool, and see you got it done?
Hi Diane, Hey but you lost 2# :D . I hope it gets better
Wendy, I have helped out a couple times and will again this sat. They pay me with WW smoothies or whatever I pick out.
Hi Jenn, and everyone else. I need to finish my getting ready for work, so I'll see you later.

Good Morning GBTG Buddies! graemlins/wave.gif
Last night was DH's last shift of midnights. BUT, his wonderful company has scheduled his for the yearly fire safety class at 8 PM this morning..... His nickname to all his buddies is "Gus"....well, today I'm assuming he will be Grumpy Gus.
I made the Pineapple Oat Bran muffins finally! I love them. I tried the "other" version first, the one with the wheat bran. DH really liked them but I though they were just okay....I love oats, so THIS is the one I'll be making from now on. I also used Splenda and lowered the points to 1.5 per muffin.
Guess who I got a call from yesterday??? My DOCTOR! Yes, it was actually her...not a nurse or secretary. She wanted to know how I was doing. Wow...that's impressive. She also wanted to thank me for the baked oatmeal recipe. I told her I will be bringing a muffin recipe next time I come.
Now the bad news.........right before she called the nurse called with DH's results. His cholesterol is in the high 300's. The HDL is 10....anything below 40 is bad. Mine is 74 just to give you comparison. He is allergic to the cholesterol lowering medications...so they are trying something else, Tricor. This paired with his high blood pressure caused me to give DH a big lecture last night. His claim has always been..."it's hereditary, my whole family has abnormally high levels...look at my dad." Ok...I gave him the facts on his dad, who he feels is a hard worker and doesn't eat much. His dad sits on a lawn tractor 80% of the day (no exercise THERE) and while he eats light, he eats CRAP. His DW doesn't even drain the grease off of hamburger (and they buy the cheap stuff with lots of fat) because it gives it flavor. He doesn't eat white meat because it's too dry (overcooked!) and he sits in his recliner and eats ice cream treats and candy all evening long! Ok.......DUH!
Now DH, while he eats good since I do the cooking...with him it's portion control. He always eats like someone is hovering over him trying to take his plate away. Literally, he will glance up from his plate to see all 4 of us just staring at him, amazed at his intensity. And...he doesn't exercise at all. I am VERY worried about him. He thinks because it's hereditary that it negates the fact. I told him high cholesterol is high cholesterol...PERIOD! I have close to a year left on this gym membership, but as soon as it's over I am going to join a coed gym and get him going with me. In the meantime...he can go for nightly walks to get moving.
OK....enough about ME! ;)
Cheryl39 - Bootin' Mama? LOL Yes...a mama I be...and I'm protective of my little brood here.
And I have plenty of "boots" stored up...so watch out! LOL http://img14.photobucket.com/albums/v41/raidermombcb/rollpin.gif
Sandylee - Too funny...."I live alone. I can eat whenever I want." Doncha just love those "lightbulb moments"?
Nancy - I like your "lesson learned". I've read that this is true....moderate intensity with exercise is supposedly more effective because you are more apt to continue exercising and less apt to burn out on it.
Carol - We're missin' you something fierce around here. http://www.dearbornheightsraiders.org/buddysmooch.gif BUT...having a garden full of veggies is as good of an excuse as any! I wonder if the gardening centers around here carry Stevia plants? I've never looked.
Oh, Diana! You sure DO have a lot on your plate! But in the midst of all this you still managed to lost 2#. I'm proud of you buddy..... Keep up the good work and I hope that some of these issues get resolved quickly for you. http://img14.photobucket.com/albums/v41/raidermombcb/group.gif
Kyoot - Good for you for getting that walk in! I had planned on taking yesterday off because there was too much going on...but realized I had 45 minutes in-between commitments so I ran into the gym, dropped my purse on the side of the elliptical, hopped on for 30 minutes, hopped off and ran back out the door...LOL! The looks were precious.....
Wendy - SO glad to hear about DF's mom. It sounds like she's going to make a complete recovery then?
Hi to anyone I missed!
Have a great day everyone. graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Hi everyone; just checking in before heading to bed. I had a pretty day for a Monday. The weather has turned hot all of a sudden so the water is getting down a little easier. Since I couldnt come home for lunch I took a long walk and stopped at McDonalds for salad and fruit parfait. And then I picked up my truck after work so I am back on the road again. Leftover turkey, mushroom and green beans for dinner. The funny thing is around 5:45 I was getting hungry so I go to the kitchen to find something for 2 points to hold me over. And then I thought hold me over for what? I live alone. I can eat whenever I want. I am thinking I do that sometimes, delay eating so I dont use up my points. And end up using them anyway 1 or 2 points at a time. Anyway I sat down and had an early dinner and felt great the rest of the evening. I am not attending meetings but weigh every Thursday morning and record my weight in my journal. This is the only time during the week that I weigh. I used to weigh daily. It made me crazy. And I am also in the TOwhenever club. Im 47 and I have my TOM at least 3 times every month. Doesnt last long but shes there. Makes any weight loss very unpredictable and can be discouraging. Hopfully this phase will end soon, the sooner the better, its been going on about 4 months now. So I totally relate and symphatize. Bedtime for me. Have a great Tuesday.

Hi GBTG buddies,
Well another day is here, 1more to weighin.
For some reason it took me forever to get on the site. Oh well I'm here now.
Carol great to see you!!! I was going to post a where is Carol but then I thought, she'll be here, probably out enjoying the weather and the garden and yep there you were.
Diane I hope your stress lowers, YAY! on the 2lb loss that will decrease your stress I'm sure.
Cheryl39 Yep walk done and we are going again tongiht for 90minutes ! YAY!! I enjoy it because it is no kid time, which is a blessing at time. I LOVE my kids but I need that escape.
Sandy way to go on the supper, 545 is late for eating for me we are 5pm eaters but I know what you mean saving points for "just incase".
CherylR I would ahve loved to see the looks on the gym members!
Nancy, YAY! on the cheek work out:) I'm sorry your leader isn't more supportive over goal and with gains, they should know how hard, but I think some don't lose as much as others, or have been leaders forever, and don't get it.
well off to check on that roast

Hey hey hey everyone graemlins/wave.gif thought I'd post a little note. I wanted to tell you all I'm so glad I come here bf I start my day. I get motivated and feel I can really do this. And I will. Just having a tender moment and a mood shift (TOM) this morning. I was cranky at DH when i got home LOL.
Really though, I was thinking about saying something this AM but I had to get going to work.
Cheryl, You know the pinapple muffins I made are 1 point each. Please tell me your's are not the same.
raidermom
04-27-2004, 02:50 PM
Cheryl, if it's the "amazing muffins"...the pineapple muffin made with wheat bran instead of oat bran....they are closer to 1.5 points...and since I count half points, that's how I count it. Now that is WITH the brown sugar. When using Splenda they are definitely 1 point.
If you're making the pineapple oat bran muffins, these are 2 points with the sugar...and 1.5 made with Splenda.
Both of these recipes are at the top of the "breads & grains" forum....which one do you use?
Kyoot

Speaking of recipes I went and checked out the baked oatmeal wrote it out and jsut went to try to make it, I'm out of applesauce, DARN! Oh well I'll make a note on the grocery list. It threatened to rain all night while I was walking but I did it 95minutes !YAY!! Cheryl39 so great to hear that your motivated! GOOOO CHERYL!! give me a CANCAN!
CherylR, I'm off to check out these muffins you speak of!

Good evening,
I finally have time to check in and say Hi. I still can't get here from work.
It's a very busy week for me, lots of projects have to be done by last Thursday. I hope it quiets down in a couple days. Then I will only have to work on 2 or 3 crises at a time. The last 2 days have been very long.
Here's one for the cat lovers.
Patches (2yo) loves paper wads, maybe 1" or a little less in diameter. Great toys. So, today she caught dh putting one in a trash can. A new toy, just for her, in that basket? What fun! She dug 2 out of the trash before dh stopped her... chances are she'll bring them to me later if she still has them (she likes to bring me her toys as "presents"). [No this isn't the trash can with food in it. That one is cat-proofed.]

Good Evening Buddies graemlins/wave.gif ,
It is so good to be able to come here and see that everyone is doing very well and that there is great support for all. graemlins/thumbup.gif
Today has been a long day and I am really tired. graemlins/sleep.gif I think last week has caught up to me and I will need to turn in a little early.
I got my 3M WATP tape in today, but have been very tired and crabby and puffy.... You get the picture. I have been so hungry as well. What's up with that anyway?? It is probably the week before that TOM which would be a week earlier than expected.
I am going right over to the breads and grains and getting the muffin recipes. I think that would also be a good addition to the M/D brunch on Saturday. I have to have a few low point options available.
Well I had better go I still have a few things to finish up before bed.
Have a great night....
See ya in the morning.

Good morning, I made myself workout bf I got online and it was difficult.
Nancy, love the cat story, I love cats. My indoor cat loves the 2" paper balls also and bats them around. Outdoor cat loves roasted peanuts instead of treats. I leave one peanut in his cat bed at night, like a mint (I know I need help:crazy:) hope you get a laugh.
Cheryl, I'm using the amazing muffins I should have specified. I made them this morning half splenda half brown sugar. maybe that will take it to 1 point. OT, Prince will be on MTV and VH1 soon, a 30 minute show is all I know.
Wendy, you could use the mini muffin pans and make either one. They are really good, great idea for the brunch.
Kyoot, I'm out of applesauce too but am going out in a bit. I feel very CANCAN today. Yay on the walk :D . I did 25 so far. I break it up.
It was frosty this morning, and snowed yesterday. Can you believe it? It's supposed to get warmer today and I need to spread some junk on the lawn among other activites.
I'll check in later.

Cheryl39 - Just wanted to say.......I know Prince is on tonight....and it's "boot night" on Idol.....I'M GOING TO MISS THEM BOTH!!! graemlins/sobbing.gif graemlins/sobbing.gif How dare these preschool moms plan a night out on a night where there is great TV. Wah! graemlins/sobbing.gif Hopefully VH1 will repeat the Prince thing...they are usually good at that.

Good afternoon Buddies, graemlins/wave.gif
Things are certainly going better today. It is about 78 degrees outside and windy, of course. It feels wonderful. I have laundry on the line and have a 2mile walk in, but plan to do another half hour tape when I get the kids down for a nap. I think that I am going to start cleaning as well. I have the windows open and tomorrow it is going to be cold again graemlins/sobbing.gif . graemlins/crazy.gif April weather.
Cheryl39~ Thank you for the mini-muffin idea. That is exactly what I am going to do. I have to go out and get some of the ingredients for the muffins and I am going to try and find the amazing muffin recipe too.
Cheryl~ I am a Prince fan too. He was very popular in my late teens and 20's. I went to one of his concerts in the Twin Cities before he took a hiatus sp??. It was a phenomenal concert. I will be watching AI tonight I hope that the right person gets voted out.
Hi Kyoot, Jenn, NancyNY, Sandylee, WWCarol, Redhotmomma, JalepenoAnn, and everyone else. I apologize if I missed anyone. I am certainly keeping all of you in mind when I write.
Have a great OP day,
Gotta go and have some 4pt Lasagna and a small salad. I think that we are going to grill out tonight. YUM.!!

Hi buds; just a quick check in here at lunchtime; having a slimfast smoothie with blackberry; these seem to hold me for a long time and its a quick lunch a couple times a week. And then dinner tonight is leftover turkey, salad and veggies. Cheryl I will be watching Lakers game tonight but will tune for the vote off on AI. This year sure is different. I cant seem to get behind anyone. Be interesting to see what happens tonight. Kyoot (what does your name mean?) I really enjoy hearing about your days. Takes me back to when my baby (who is 25) was small. And laundry on the line. Can you believe I used to hang out diapers. Yes we used to wash and dry them. Today is my early day-off at 2; since I am not needed at Moms I am coming to get some more yardwork done. Get a jump on the weekend that way. Have a great day buddies!

LOL the Bananas are 12cals each and 0 fat and 0 fibre and the Peanuts are the same smile.gif YAY!! so I did my calculations and it worked out to 6 for the strawberries I ate and 5 for the Bananas YAY!! me, so I'm ahead on the strawberries for Sunday and calling the bananas 5 flex. smile.gif so I still have a bunch of flex left

Hi everyone!
Just a quick post to let you all know I am still alive and well!!
I am struggling this week (feel free to send graemlins/bcbkick.gif ) but I keep all of you in mind and I know I haven't strayed too far off track. I'm mentally journalling, albeit after the fact, so I know how much I am eating and do put thought into points values. I'm having a hard time planning my food when I don't know when I'll be in/out of the office and when I get to eat. I haven't had time to replensh my OP snacks, so I know that's part of the problem, and so I go a long time without eating and then I'm starving. So at least I know what the problem is, but unfortunately I need to get all this work stuff out of the way this week (and it's starting to creep into next week!) and then I can get totally, 100% back on track. But the scale hasn't shot up, so I think my points are closer to maintenance than losing like I want them to be.
Thanks for listening to me ramble, I should go so I can get home in time for American Idol!! I think about you guys and hope you are doing well (OP and otherwise!) this week.

Hi GBTG buddies! I have been so busy these past 2 days and it is 8:30 pm and I am just getting to the puter. This will be quick because I am in danger of falling asleep here! I left the house at 10, caught the ferry, went to Walmart, did my food shopping then had lunch with a friend. She just had a cochlear implant last June (I am waiting) so i had more ???? for her. So by the time I caught the ferry home and unloaded my groceries it was 5pm. Had bought a flat of strawberries (Calif.) so hulled them, had my dinner and did my 3 mile walk. So I am pooped. The scale shows me down another 2# but I will wait to celebrate when my weekly WI day comes (Sunday).....my weight can fluctuate up to 5# from am to pm the same day. I will get back to normal days hopefully tomorrow and be able to check in earlier.............some of you on the east coast are prob. sleeping by now! Hello to all!

Kyoot, good luck on WI and ****{SV}}}
Okay, my lunch is planned and pointed and packed. Dinner don't know yet, leftovers or boca burger.
You want to know a good snackie? I take a store brand ff/sf yougurt, put in 3/4 ff vanilla wafers and let sit 4 hours (in fridge). Its almost like a dessert. Sometimes I plop in a couple frozen strawberries or blueberries dependingon the yogurt flavor. Its 3.5 points and a milk

Good morning all of you terrific GBTGer's graemlins/wave.gif
It is a beautiful sunny morning here in Wisconsin, but by noon it will become stormy and colder. Ya just gotta love it. I am off to hang more clothes out. With the winds as they are the clothes will be dry in a matter of 10 minutes ;) That sure beats the dryer, however, they may end up about a 1/4 mile away so I will have to pin them several times.
Yesterday was a great day until evening again. I am graemlins/bcbkick.gif graemlins/bcbkick.gif graemlins/bcbkick.gif myself as usual. I did not do terribly bad, but I was so hungry again and extremely tired. I am almost sure that this must be the week before TOM ( which will be a week earlier than it is supposed to be ) I think I will have to go on a different pill.
I did get my walk in yesterday (Not as long as you Kyoot~ Man you are doing SUPER~ graemlins/thumbup.gif Down 4 pounds too. KUDOS to you!! You must be back in the ZONE now.
I have to plan some meals and make my grocery list. I think I am going to try and escape for a couple hours today and get some of that done.
Have a great day all!! You are all doing terrific. Remember that if we cannot take things a day at a time, breaking it down into second and minute intervals may just do the trick.
Be back later

Good Morning. Thank you Nancy for welcoming me to your group. I've really enjoyed reading all your posts from this week. It's been great getting to know you a bit that way. So hi to Cheryl39, Cheryl, Wendy, Jenn, Kyoot, Sandylee, Diana, and WWCarol!! Have I missed anyone?
I grabbed my journal book on my way out the door today since I have renewed my determination to start using that again TODAY. It's also my running group day. Fortunately the weather has smartened up here. Yesterday it tried to snow!! I wasn't in the mood to see that!
I went to my first boxercize class yesterday. Has anyone tried that? It was really fun. It was outside of my comfort zone that's for sure. And I've found out I have muscles where I wasn't aware of them before. Yes, I'm a tad stiff in my sholders. What a surprise ... not. Most of the class is "punching". For something new and fun I'd suggest it.
Well, I plan to check in often. I'm already feeling more motivated than I have in months. I really missed my support group WW meetings. We had an at-work program that was supper. Unfortunetally there aren't enough members to continue here. I know there are other meetings around the city, but I just never get there. I loved checking into BCB when I was OP before. You guys always keep me motivated.
I'll try to be a motivating part of your group too.

Good afternoon GBTG Buds! graemlins/wave.gif
I might have to cut my post short again as I have company due to arrive at any moment. I've already been to the gym and cleaned the house so for the rest of the day I can pretty much CHILL! graemlins/thumbup.gif
Cheli's Chili was nice, I'd like to go there again and take DH. I half expected it to be very pricey since it is a "celebrity" restaurant located in the trendy area of Dearborn...but it was very reasonable. They even had TV's in the bathroom! But when beer is being served and there's a hockey game on......you don't wanna miss a thing...so smart move. LOL
Tonight is DD's dress rehearsal for Once Upon a Mattress and then tomorrow night is the big night...opening night. She has really enjoyed doing the theater and I bet she continues on with local civic theaters...and there are a few good ones around here.
Bonnie - Welcome! graemlins/wave.gif So glad you could join us and SO glad you brought along your winning attitude! I look forward to reading your posts....
Wendyj - Prince is one my absolute favorite musicians. The man is a genious. I've seen him a few times myself....he even tossed his gold chain to me...but some GUY behind me reached in front my face and grabbed it from me. That's something to brag about to the other guys hey? "yeah, I went to Prince and I caught his gold chain!" But I'm not bitter.......much.
Sandylee - I'm glad to hear that John is finally gone from AI. I feel for the poor kid but he wasn't in the same league as the rest of them. I think he's going to have a great future from this experience....at least I hope he does.
Kyoot - Good news on your marshmallow candy! And down 4 pounds!! So proud of you buddy.........
Diana - Boy....you are keeping busy and you are doing GREAT! And actually, no I wasn't in bed yet last night! I was still funnin' with the girls. But normally I'm sound asleep by that time....
Cheryl39- oooh! That little snackie DOES sound good! I think I'll do vanilla yogurt with a few slices of banana and the vanilla wafer....thanks for the idea. graemlins/thumbup.gif
Jenn - C'mon girl.... graemlins/bcbkick.gif Life is always going to have these busy times. It IS definitely harder when you don't have the OP items to keep you on track....so why don't you take the time to stop off at the grocery store to get enough to get you thru this rough week. Best of luck to you.....
Nancy - I think enough is enough. Pull your boss aside and let him know that BCB is your priority and lack thereof during work is affecting your performace. :D ;)
Carol - Buddy, you must have some garden! LOL Please check in with us....it's just not the same without you.
Well, whadda ya know....I made it thru the post before my company came! She's always late (4 kids ) so I thought I might be able to pull this post off......
Have a wonderful day everyone! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Good afternoon, GBTG buddies! Today was a workday but now i am home (actually only worked 5 hr.) and have had my lunch - veggie lasagna. Great recipe and soo easy! We are experiencing summer here....it is sunny, warm (about 70 degr.) and i am going to walk in my bike shorts. I don't feel comfortable walking in short shorts but like the bike shorts. My thighs are wrinkly but heck! I am close to 60, and anyway who cares? Not me! But before i do that I am going to sit in the sun and read my new WW mag that just came in the mail!
Cheryl, I hope I can stay motivated .....I always feel so much better when OP and in control.............why can't i always be in this mindset? I enjoyed walking last night at 7ish......I live on the road that connects to the ferry to a neighbouring island and the ferry to that island quits at 6:30 so there are hardly ever any cars at that time of the evening. I think I will keep doing that......and man! I sure slept well last night.
Kyoot,(fellow Canuck)that name is "cute" :D Where in NB do you live? DH and I were in NB and NS for 3 weeks in the fall of 01 and loved it......saw PEI, drove the Cabot trail but didn't get much further north than Campbellton, NB. DH's aunt lived in Shediac so that was our base. Congrats on the HUGE loss! WTG!
Wendy, I love the smell of clothes that have dried outside....nothing like it! I have real hungry days and not-so-hungry days and i don't even have TOM anymore (there are some perks to menopause! :D )......I guess we just have to learn to listen to our bodies. That is why I like Flex so much......some days I
eat 10 and others have to work to get to my target.
Hi Bonnie...don't believe we have met! graemlins/wave.gif Lots of support here!
Hi Carol!...wherever you are......we miss you!
Hi to all and thanks for being here for me!

Hey ladies,
A brief check-in, as I WILL get out of here by 6pm tonight (the weather is FAB-U-LOUS!)
I stopped on the way to work this morning to get some OP food for the office. And it will work. So, if I get hung up here at work late or can't get out for lunch, I can always have a bowl of cereal to tide me over!
Speaking of getting out for lunch, I did today...to buy a dress! I have a formal function to attend in mid-May and found the prettiest dress. Form-fitting bodice (but flare at the hips, gratefully because even at my super-skinniest, I still have HIPS!), and bare arms and shoulders. If, no, I mean WHEN I lose a couple more pounds in the next coouple weeks, it will look even better than it does now! So I have EXTRA incentive to stay on the OP wagon. (Clothes have always been a HUGE motivation for me!)
Well, graemlins/wave.gif to everyone, you are all doing great! Raidermom, thanks for the kick, I am SO glad I can count on you to whip me into shape. Welcome Bonnie!!!!! Wendy, I love your quote<
Remember that if we cannot take things a day at a time, breaking it down into second and minute intervals may just do the trick. That's my mantra right now.

Hi guys great weather huh :D . I got a little walk in after supper. Salad, half english muffin with Laughing Cow light cheese, some bean burger stuff, soup maybe I don't know it was in the freezer lol and WW ice cream sandwich.
Kyoot, I always thought that was some Indian name with some mystic meaning like princess of the northern nights :D .
Oh Carol HELLO! Hey LADY! (Jerry Lewis voice)

Sorry, Buds! It's been hectic. Let's see...How do I explain? Hmmm. Well, my multi-channeled brain has now officially been reduced to ONE channel  (just like a guy's brain :D ). I realized I HAVE to concentrate in the morning on: exercise (to kick in endorphins being my goal graemlins/thumbup.gif ), and the day ahead. Too much hasn't been getting done! tongue.gif
Yes, I've been down-in-the-dumps and blue, but I got some good help today.
The GOOD news is: my "smiley-face stickers" on my calendar are WORKING! graemlins/thumbup.gif I've got four-in-a-row so far for this week.
I also "tested" my new vitamins, one each day, just to make sure there were no deleterious effects! (Remember ME and FLAX?! graemlins/crazy.gif I was higher-than-a-kite on that stuff! ) Tomorrow I'll begin taking the entire vitamin packet at once.
I love hearing the GOOD NEWS, as different Buddies peel-off-the-pounds! Congratulations! Let's get some buddy to GOAL and outt'a here, so we can throw a PARTY! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Good morning everyone. YAY, its Friday! :D
I got my weights done and walked 1+ miles. I'll probably walk another 30 minutes at lunchtime. Good news is I shaved 3 minutes off my time. My goal is to walk 1 mile in 15 minutes, or get another pedometer. I swear I do that now. Good to hear from you Carol graemlins/thumbup.gif
Better get going. Y'all have a great day graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Good [B] Friday B] Morning Buddies, graemlins/wave.gif
I hope this finds all of you starting your day off feeling great and ready to have a great OP day.
I am really tired again today, but plan to get some exercise in. Today is going to be another busy day of baking, shopping for groceries for my fruit salad for tomorrow and there is always cleaning of course.
Cheryl39 ~ Great job getting some of your exercise in already graemlins/thumbup.gif Have a great day Buddy.
Jenn~ Take everything one task at a time. There is light at the end of the tunnel tongue.gif .
Bonnie~ That boxercize class sounds kinda fun. I am considering going from walking to jogging once my weight gets a little lower. I saw an article in Prevention magazine on how to work up to jogging. I think it would kind of fun. I see that you are from Saskatchewan, Canada~ my husbands first cousin lives in Moosejaw. We would like to get up there sometime and do some fishing.
Hi Cheryl, NancyNY, WWCarol, Kyoot, CanadianGirl, Sandylee, JalepenoAnn,

Good morning Buddies. So so so glad its Friday. I am beyond ready for a couple of days off work. Yesterday was difficult for me. I managed to stay OP but really had to work at it. I made a couple of bad food choices in reaction to my emotions. The good news is that I stopped myself from going any further. I walked last evening so that helped with clearing my mind and getting a couple of AP also. I do my best and clearest thinking while walking and realized I need a vacation. I have a long weekend planned in May but am going to take the whole week off if I can work it out. I am short on time this morning so I will just say have a great day everyone.

Good Morning GBTG Buddies! graemlins/wave.gif
In a rush again this morning.....woke up late. http://img14.photobucket.com/albums/v41/raidermombcb/coffee.gif
I hadn't planned on staying up for the hockey game, but when Calgary scored 2 goals to tie the game within 18 seconds of each other......I had to stay up and watch it until the end....which was close to 1 AM. But we won! :D Go Wings!
Tonight is DD's play. I can't wait to see it........ Her next function after this will be graduation. Then my job will be complete..... graemlins/sobbing.gif I know...she'll still need me here and there, but I can't put my foot down to any wrong decisions anymore...I have to let her make them. Scary! graemlins/crazy.gif
Sandylee - Some of my best thinking comes when I exercise. Good for you for seeing that you need a break. I hope you CAN get that whole week off!
Jenn - So you picked up some OP food on the way to work yesterday...THAT'S MY GIRL! And congrats on finding that perfect dress so soon...I would still be shopping the week before the event myself. And you want to talk HIPS? I don't....... :(
Bonnie - Wow...you're really getting in a good workout! I'm afraid to run....my bladder after 3 children doesn't handle it too well. We'll have to exercise that along with everything else so I can RUN again!
Diana - My thighs are wrinkly and full of dimples so don't feel so bad. And I'm not 40...yet. The wrinkly is the loose skin from my weight loss and I wish there was something I could do...but you know what? I guess I'm proud of those wrinkles....I know what they mean.
Cheryl39 - Are you having a hard time finding LCC? My grocery store can barely keep it in stock! When they finally got another shipment last week there were around 50 of them in the case. I bought 3 and in just a few days they were sold out again. Word must be getting out.....
Carol - Hey buddy! Nice to see you! You know...if I don't have some kind of agenda/schedule in my day....there's not too much that would get done here either. I have to use the computer as a "reward" for AFTER I'm done doing what needs to be done. So YOU do what YOU have to do to take care of YOU....then come talk to us...........but DO come talk to us, we LOVE your sunny disposition around here. I know you brighten my day when I see your posts. graemlins/kiss.gif
To everyone else.....HI!
I must rush off now.....
Have a great day everyone! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Hi again everyBuddy, graemlins/wave.gif
I just copied a Stuffed French Toast recipe off of the Breakfast forum and it sounds fabulous. I am going to town today to do a little shopping so I plan to pick up all that I need for it.
Cheryl~ Have fun at your DD play. I love going to watch those productions and am hoping the my DS's will take a chance and try it. I had such a great time doing musicals and plan to get back into it once the littles are older. I am not quite 40 either, but everything on my body has changed shape or location many times. ;) I am still in search of a cream or exercise that will actually tone up the stomach wrinkles, but know that if that never happens that all of those wrinkles have been worth every child.(The spider veins/and varicose ones too.
Jenn~ How in the world did you find a dress so fast??? That is great. I have a wedding coming up June 5, which is also our wedding anniversary. I am looking for a "Hot little black number" ;) , but have not even started looking yet. I keep thinking that I should wait until the end of May, but if I do that I probably will be very stressed trying to find something. My DH thinks I should look for something at VS----NOT----(Something fish-net, I am sure)Just Joking!
Have a great day everyone,

Hi all you buddies! Today certainly does seem busy for us all. I want to sign back in later to be able to say a special congrats or hi to each of you that posted already today. My day is slipping by so fast and I have so much that I need/want to get done.
It's my day off and the kids are at school. My husband is home today today so we drove into the city this a.m. (20 minute drive) and spent some time together running errands. It was fun - we haven't had much alone time together over the past week. Anyway - it's after lunch here - yike 2:00! I was going to focus on house work - but after reading all your posts I'm puttin on my work-out gear and going for a walk - maybe run. My one leg is really stiff and sore and I don't want to push it. Plus is rather yucky out - windy!
Wendy - you can look for another post from me later so you don't have to feel so lonely!
I hope everyone is having a great OP day. OHHH - I had my first totally OP day yesterday in months! I felt SO great. On track again today. It's so great to know that I have someone to tell about my progress. It keeps me motivated to actually challenge myself. My husbands great - but he doesn't see the daily struggle - he's just proud of my accomplishments!
Anyway - ciao! graemlins/wave.gif

Hi buddies,
Went to the school today (WAHHHHHHHHHH ) to get mr 4 screened for Kindergarten and answer a page for his file. I can't believe it it is all happening so fast for me, I want that 5lb7oz back! So from what gather NB doens't get spring, we go from 3C yesterday and frost over night to 28C today! the clothes dried in 20minutes on my old telephone wire across the deck, still waiting on Dh getting my clothes line up!!! Mr 4 just came to me with a piece of paper and it says Dad, Mom and there are shapes squares circles, and stuff. I reallly can't keep him home and all to myself can I?
WendyJ and Bonnie great excerise!!! Bonnie that running is great but I'm not there yet, unless you count running after the boys. Dainanna you have mail!,
Jen!! you go buddy! awsome job on the OP stock and the dresss, I noticed all your pics you are so into clothes nad have a talent for picking out the prettiest things. Cheryl39, HA on the name, Princess of Northern Lights! or SnowBunny see Kyoot=cute HA! Wow you walk fast! I don't know how fast I'm going tI could never figure out my pedometer, I know my time but not my rate or distance so I'm lost on that math problem what do they say "not enough information"
Sandyleee, Vacation sounds like a great idea. I find when i'm feeling burried in mr2 and mr4 or even dh and the lack of clothesline, myvacation is a bath but a long weekend sounds better. Where are we going?

Happy Friday everyone (what's left of it anyhow),
Our anniversary was yesterday (4 years), so today I took the afternoon off and we played a round of golf. We played the course the PGA will use for the B. C. Open in July. I did pretty well, considering! I haven't been playing all that long, but dh has been playing since he was 10 or 11 (and he's retired).
Afterwards we came home and I started with the yard and garden cleanup. It's still too early for annuals, but I may get a few more perennials planted and some summer bulbs. I want to do a lot of that this weekend. It's good "productive" activity as well. (And yes I count APs for it)
Our weather is typical April, Wed. we set a record for cold (28F) and today it's over 80F...
Have a great evening!

Nancy, I'm right there with you, Counting all my yard work. The boys are currently yelling out our front window to dh that he needs to leave mom's van home. LOL So this morning is going well, I got out of bed mr2 let me sleep until 8am, Mr4 came to me at 7am to say he was hungry! so I got him some cereal and went to sleep again. We're in for another hot day today! Mr too is here with shoes and wanting to go with dh. It is cute but sad so I'm off to write out my journal for the morning and get mr 2 settled into something constructive like getting dressed!

I hope your all doing well. I think when the weather breaks all of us post less here and thats fine if everyones back to goal but I'm not and I don't want to buy bigger capris so I'll be here for awhile if anyone wants to post I'm here.

Happy May, GBTG buddies! I had a strange very hungry day yesterday and used all of my flexpoints! I actually felt guilty at the time but I did not go over the 35..........I guess I will get used to eating more on some days without feeling guilty. So until Monday I am on target only points which is fine. I went out early and got my 3 miles done. The weather is absolutely wonderful here right now..........but the labour situation is not............looks like the whole province may be in for a general strike. It is scary because yesterday the ferry workers were out in sympathy with the hosp. union and I live on an island. It didn't affect our island, just the bigger terminals but it is difficult to live with the uncertainty of all the labour unrest going on. Anyway, i am on track and refuse to WI until Monday morning. Have a good weekend all!

Good afternoon buudies,
Around here, if we have a nice day on a weekend we have to take advantage of it. There was rain in the forecast starting any time today, so I decided to work in the garden and yard until the rain started. Well, one project led to another, and it didn't rain. Yet. And I've done all the projects I wanted to get done today. Everything I got yesterday and this morning is planted. And I did all the digging by hand. No roto-tiller. I even got the lawn mowed, and that wasn't part of the plan.
So yes, the computer wasn't a priority.
Tonight I need to make meatballs and tomato sauce for future pasta meals. But that has to wait until after dinner. (My meatballs are 2 pt. and the sauce is 0 pt.) Tonight, dh is making roast chicken. I don't know what we're having with it - it may depend on if I'm up for cooking. Last night he made baked potato wedges. Even dd liked them!
Kyoot, good for avoiding the KFC!
Cheryl, enjoy your shower.
Cheryl(raidermom), I saw those 2 goals in 18 sec. the other night too. Dh is watching all the games. You can tell when "his" team is behind - he starts trying to help the coach.
Diana, that's what Flex points are for, to help you handle days your are more or less hungry. I hope they settle the labor problems soon.
Carol, stop by when you can!

Hello everybuddy! graemlins/wave.gif
I'm one pooped puppy today. Don't know why...but the Aunt Flo that had come to visit and left...decided she wanted to come again and her arrival was very loud and obnoxious.
This explains why I didn't feel good during DD's play last night....I thought it was the Chinese food we had prior to going.
Once Upon a Mattress was wonderful! This was even better than the production of Grease last year. I wish DD would pursue the acting with the civic theaters....she is very good.
Wendy - I hope you feel better today...I feel your "puffy" pain my dear.....all the way. And I love the Stuffed French Toast! I like it best with LCC as opposed to the FF cream cheese, but either works.
Bonnie - First OP day in months? Congrats girlfriend! I hope that from here on in you have ALL OP days..... graemlins/thumbup.gif
Kyoot - I wish MY kids were staying younger longer....no, my DD wants to move in with her DBF of one year...immediately after graduation. She will be 18 and there is not a thing I can say about it. I am completely bummed and upset, to say the least. We are talking about a girl who received the President's Award of Excellence in school. Do you know how hard that is to get???
You would THINK that a person who receives one would go on to great things.......making mac'n cheese for the DBF wasn't anything I've ever considered for her.
Nancy - Happy belated anniversary! And which team is DH behind? It would be the Wings of course, wouldn't it? LOL
Cheryl39- We are here! I DID buy the bigger capris today....I got tired of the spare tire and holding my arms over my waist attempting to hide it. $40 for 2 pairs of comfortable capris and no spare tire are worth it in my book. And I agree, there is less activity on the boards when the weather is nice AND on the weekend. Too bad about the Eric Clapton tickets....our local radio station is giving away tickets to it's members (of which I am one). I remember thinking, "what would I do with those?" Now I know!
Diana - I think I'm likin' the Flex too! Heck..they are there and if we're usin' and losin'.....more power to us!
Ok ladies....I'm off to grab a 2 point ice cream cone. Have a great evening! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Dh wants all the series to be 7 games, so at this point he is for whoever is most likely to help get to 7 games (like whoever is behind in the series). Overall I think he wants Detroit to win this one. We're a mixed marriage. No I don't know why. We have the AHL affiliate of Ottawa, and they're out, so you'd think we wouldn't much care.

CherylR sorry your DD is not going the "planned" route. Kids!
Nancy great to see you, Thanks for the cheer on the KFC but it was replaced with some other things that were Flexed into the day! no walk today either. :( very bummed! a warning from my walking partner would ahve been nice!

Good Morning GBTG Buddies! graemlins/wave.gif
I am taking the day off! At least that's the plan for now. I still might go in and grab some time on the treadmill or something.
I DO have to go to the hospital and pick up my CAT PREP for my CAT scan tomorrow night. Ugh! graemlins/ugh.gif I am NOT looking forward to this.... I freaked out both times that I had an MRI. But they assure me that this is a matter of seconds as opposed to 20 minutes in the MRI. I tend to freak out in the last 5 minutes of the MRI so I should be good.......I hope.
Nancy - If, IF, the Wings don't win the next game against Calgary.... the team I'll probably be rooting for in the next round (hopefully they make it) is Toronto in the Eastern Conference and Calgary for the Western, but I want Toronto to go all the way.
The Wings are doing a good job getting to that game 7 for you DH hey? Poor Steve Yzerman....I hope he's back for the next game. AND my man Chelios! Hockey is such a looooooong season...I tend to only watch here and there until the playoffs. Nothing beats playoff hockey! graemlins/thumbup.gif

Good Morning, GBTG buddies! I was up at 6:30 and out the door 5 min later; did 3 miles at less than 15 min/mile so I am counting my APs as mod.intensive (4 AP)as I was just drenched in sweat by the time I finished. I did not take my little dog with me as she can't do that pace without me pulling her LOL; she only weighs 11 lb.! I will take her out for a stroll later on if it isn't raining.......heck, I will anyway, I have a raincoat and this IS BC after all. We have 2 seasons, rain and rust! So I have had my breaky and after some laundry will get back to my quilt I am close to finishing. Somehow I have misplaced(?) 3 blocks........darn, I hope i don't have to make 3 more blocks! You guys have a good Sunday, thank goodness my dh is not a sports fan!

GOOD Morning, GBTG-Friends!
Yes, the PULL of the garden! Some of my Wall-'O-Waters collapsed, but luckily I had replacement tubes and FIXED them! Very empowering~ ;)
Today I hope to get some seeds in the ground. What a NOISY place I live...We had turkeys squawking outside our bedroom windows this A.M. That set off DDog...and he set off the neighborhood dogs (each about 1/3rd of a mile away)... Which then set off the turkeys again. LOL! Actually I clapped at a flying insect and all TEN TURKEYS GOBBLED loudly...
Sometimes we have Dueling Roosters. First, Rooster Number One: "Cockadoodledooo!". Then, Rooster Number Two. Then some sleepy person yelling far away, " SHUUUUUT UUUUUP!" Then Rooster Number One... :D ;)
I've got company coming on Friday, DS-D, and then my Mom on Mother's Day, Sunday. LOTS TO DO!
Oh. Just wanted to put in a good word for Dr. Phil's Intensifier Packets (vitamins). For 2 nights I have NOT gotten up in the middle of the night to visit the bathroom?! For years I have gotten up numerous times EACH night. tongue.gif I am also feeling calm, and several other annoying physical symptoms are GONE?! We'll see if this lasts... graemlins/thumbup.gif

She'll find her way I'm sure. But in the meantime....any cash I had planned on giving her for graduation is being put into a CD in the hopes that she will wise up before it matures.
I like Mr. Twain's quote.....I guess that's the way it has to be. Since they won't listen to US and take the easy way........
NOW I see what's kept you away from us lately! It wasn't the garden at all was it??? It was the gobbling turkeys! You've been sportin' those gardening clogs and shakin' yer tail feathers again haven't you?

Carol I thought we were having fun here with Raccoons, Deer and Foxes. Turkeys would not go over. Oh and Crow season. Tonight we were in the bedroom and the birds were still chirping so I'm still up at 1112pm!
I hope everyone ahd a great OP day. I did even got to use some flex! I found out what happened to My mia walking partner, she had to "go for a drive" and so wasn't home when I called. Oh well we added 20minutes onto our time tonight! smile.gif
110minutes of very fast paste walking and even jogged up one hill cause we got stick of looking at it from the bottom! Does anyone know if you can buy weights that strap on your arms? I'm hoping if I can find these for my upper arms that will help withthe wings, speaking of turkeys.
CherylR I hope your DD does mature and her CD too. ACK I hear mr2 up "mom?"
OK he wants to "Sit" off to convince him laying down and falling asleep will work better
