Good morning, all, Weather here was beautiful yesterday. I'm running just a little bit late this morning.

Steve: Welcome back, buddy! I was very worried about you!! Are you still doing all your exercise?

Sue: Don't power outages stink! Hope everything in your fridg. survived? I only work part-time, each day, until 2. That's how I'm able to do all the exercise. Afternoons are devoted to exercise, for me.

Kathy: The Boston Marathon is always run on a Monday. I only went once, and to me, it was boring, boring, boring, but then, I am not a runner. I have seriously tried to get into it several times over the years, but it has never been for me.
BTW, I was wondering...do you work in a Mall?? I always thought that would be a neat place to work.

Tracey: Did you have a day off yesterday? You didn't mention your office.

Amy: Yes, we have many pics. of the house both taken from land & from the boat, but I am one of those people who is totally clueless on how to post pics. BTW, I wouldn't call this a New England hamlet. I don't quite know how to describe it, except in the summer, it's like living in the middle of a resort area. Yes, we have some seclusion, but once the boating season begins there is always someone coming by on a boat looking up at the houses (some have binoculars!). The 4th. of July is really something we look forward to, and we always have people over. The water fireworks are set off in front of our house! We all sit out on the dock to enjoy them. This is quite a place, and like I said, we are very lucky to live here.

Well, that's about it for now, friends. Boy! do I need that coffee this morning. I think yesterday's heat got to me.

Hugs & hello's to all,
Dawna

Good Morning Lifers,

It's good to see that there is lots of "life" left in our lifers... 9 posts in yesterday's thread.

The weather looks nice today. At noon, I'm walking with a woman that I used to work with at Lawrence University (small liberal arts college in Appleton). I like to catch up with her as well as learn the current gossip. It's been 10 years since I quit, but I still miss the inside scoop.

Dawna - Power outages are not fun. This was easy, but almost 3 years ago, we lost our power for 3 days when a tree in our ravine took down the entire block. When this happened Sunday, I wondered if we would have the same problem, but fortunately it was easy to remedy and there wasn't the widespread damage and outages. Did I ask you if you were on an inland lake or the ocean?

Amy - Are you thinking pink? I will have to say that girls clothes are much more fun to buy (I hope I don't offend anyone with this statement). I need to make a TJMaxx run this week. I understand that DGD will only wear dresses and I tend to buy casual clothes for her. DGS is now in 12 months clothes, so I'll try to pick some up for him too. I usually make a TJMaxx fun once or twice a month.

Tracey - Glad that you were able to post yesterday. It sounds like you have a very busy life. I'm going to Pilates this morning. I practice for about 45 minutes two times a week and do the breathing whenever I think about it. I probably should do more.

Kathy - Dawna asks a good question. Where do you work?

Cheryl & Wendy - Hope you can enjoy the sun today in Wisconsin.

Steve - Again, glad you are back in the loop.

That's about it. My coffee is calling me too.

Hugs,
Sue

Hi buddies! I'm back from the doctor and he said everything looks great and to not worry about my placenta laying so low. He said that I have a 19 in 20 chance of it correcting itself. Sounds like good odds to me! I have another ultrasound on May 13 to check up on things. :D

Dawna, I don't know how to post pics directly in a post but maybe Kathy can help. She's a whiz at that kind of stuff. I only know how to post a link to a website. I'd love to see where you live.

Sue, I also get together with former coworkers to keep up on all the drama in the office. I don't miss work at all, but I do miss the friends I had there. Yes, I'm thinking pink smile.gif . I agree that girl clothes are cuter than boy clothes. Boy clothes just aren't pretty. ;)

Steve, we are a bunch of mother hens...our maternal instincts kick into high gear when one of our flock goes missing! tongue.gif Enjoy your quiet day.

Tracey, sorry I missed you today. Have a great day -- hope it's not too crazy. Another gorgeous one out there!

Kathy, sorry I missed you too. You west-coasters are probably still in bed. I hope you have a good day!

Later buddies...I'm going to go play with DS.

Good glorious Tuesday morning buddies! :D

I'm definitely getting spoiled by all this great weather! But I hear it's about to end unfortunately....rain coming in tonight and continuing through the weekend...hope they're wrong, again! LOL

Dawna, oh no, I was here yesterday, just started a little late. That was not very good planning on my part--to schedule an appt. Monday morning. My doc was running late so I didn't get back to my office until 10:15 and needless to say, there were tons of messages and faxes that came in just one hour. Goodness, sometimes I wonder what we all did without all this technology! But I got back on track by the end of the day. BTW, maybe you can help me. I'm in charge of purchasing a new fax machine for the office. I want to get a plain paper laser fax machine--you have any suggestions? Like I said, my office is small, but very busy--we get several faxes a day; maybe 50-100 pages/day. Some days we only get 20/day. Since you're our resident "go to girl" when it comes to purchasing anything, I thought I'd ask you. ;)

Sue, are you beginning to tell a difference in how you stand and sit and carry yourself since starting your pilates practice? I think that's probably one of the first noticeable things from gaining core strength--how much taller you feel. Glad to hear that you're enjoying it. I've been using my Reformer and doing mat pilates for over 3 years now and I still see improvement from time to time--I'm nowhere near being perfect, but I am getting better!

Steve, hey buddy! I never did get my note in the mail to you. Kathy's much faster than I am! ;) You posted before I got it to the post office so you won't be getting a note from this "mother hen" LOL! I'd really like to be able to get in touch with Peggy too. I'm really glad that you're not MIA anymore--keep it that way! graemlins/bcbkick.gif (That was a gentle kick--you know I'm just kidding you!)

Amy, half way! That's hard to believe, isn't it? Well, maybe not for you, but it seems like the time is just flying by. I'm so happy that you were able to spend some quality time with DH and DS this weekend--it was so beautiful, as it is right now. Hope you get out to enjoy it again today! smile.gif

Kathy, I can't remember if I ever answered your question about getting my car out of storage--not yet! Next week--I can't wait. Now that the weather has gotten so nice I'm ready to get it out! Hope you have as nice a day as we're having here! Take care buddy. graemlins/kiss.gif

As Dawna always says, the coffee is calling me this morning....hmmmmmm, smells good too! Make it a good one everybuddy and take care! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Good Morning Buddies, graemlins/wave.gif

It's nice to see our thread so active this morning. It's a beautiful morning here in CA. We are suppose to get to the 80's by the weekend when I do the March Of Dimes walk. So the morning should be nice.

Dawna... I do work at a Mall. One of two in our this town. We aren't that big we just have two Malls. I actually avoid going out into the Mall during lunch. It's way to busy these days.

Steve... You are much welcome for the note. Glad to hear that we are like Jewish Mothers.

Sue... I'm in sales at JC Penney at a Mall that is 8 miles from the town that I live. We are too small for a mall here. Our JC Penney closed many years ago. I've only been here for 1.5 years. I was in Fast Food Management for most of my adult life until I couldn't take the stress anymore.

Amy... Nope I was up just not able to post yet. I've not gotten down the multitasking ie making tonights diner, todays lunch and finishing the muffins and candy for tomorrows March of Dimes
bake sale and posting at the same time. LOL That's great news from the Dr.

Tracey... Cool that you are getting the car out soon. She will be glad to see you again I'm sure.

Well buddies I must go and get ready for work. Have a wonderful day. :D
