View Full Version : GETTING BACK TO GOAL - Week of 4/19

Good morning everyone!
I guess I'm here first so I'll start the week's thread. I'm here so darn early because I've got so much work to do! Oh well, it's our busy season (commencement -- did I mention I work at a college?) so in a few weeks the insanity will stop (or at least slow down some!!)
I've been much, much better. I've been eating somewhere between losing and maintenance points, but more importantly, I'VE BEEN EXERCISING!! Every day on the bike, I have worked my way back to the "short version" of my long route (Basically, I bike to a subdivision 3 subvisions away from mine, and then bike through all of them to come back home -- that's the short version of the long route. As I get my endurance back, I will take multiple spins through each subdivision.) Plus, I painted my kitchen (again, the 3rd time in 3 months, I finally got the right color!!) and did some clean-up work outside so I'm pretty psyched! Now, to get all my water in today is my goal!!!
We had some wild weather in my neck of the woods, it seemed like a tornado, but I guess it wasn't, technically. The winds were clocked at nearly 90 mph  and we lost power for about 3 hours. I personally didn't have any damage (not even a turned over lawn chairs, they must be pretty heavy!!) but a mile or so away there were downed billboards and signs. Then, the weather turned gorgeous (and it still is -- it is 70 degrees at 8am, can you believe it??)
So, that's all for me, hope you guys are all good too (I read the end of last week's thread, great job Carol on the scale, hello to Canadian girl, Kyoot, if I can CANCAN so CAN you!! Raidermom ~ I very much enjoyed the deli chicken, but the skin WAS GROSS!! graemlins/wave.gif to everyone else!!!
Have a great OP day everyone!!!

Good Morning GBTG Buds! graemlins/wave.gif
Another (and supposedly the last) beautiful day here in MI. Yesterday we broke a record with a high of 86 degrees! It sure didn't feel like 86....at that temp I'm usually inside with the central air.
I am down 1.5 this week! Imagine that.....journaling and water DOES make a difference! ;) I think it helps that I'm "publicly" journaling as well. So I am PUMPED for another week! Now hopefully all my test results are good this afternoon and I can get back to exercising.....
I have school today....then my dr's appointment, so I'll check in a little later on.
Jenn - Painting that kitchen earned you some AP's I'm sure! Good for you on that bike, I'm glad to here it hasn't lost it's allure.
BTW - we had some wicked wind yesterday too. Not anywhere near what YOU had, but strong. Must've picked up the pace crossing the lake.
Cheryl39 - It would probably be 4 points if you used that old paste wax that you have to rub off using the ol' elbow grease. Like my stove....the elbow grease it takes to get that thing shining I SURELY would count for a couple of points! ;)
Kyoot - Ok...that's enough! No more making up for previous sins. graemlins/bcbkick.gif If you don't have the points, don't use them. Carol's right, create a NO FAIL environment. We all have moments of weakness and if these temptations are around they're going to be eaten. At least until you are strong enough to walk past the temptation without a second glance.
Diana - I'm not going to kick you too hard, as that happened to me once and you did count the points. Sleepwalking and eating....what is up with THAT!? For me it was crackers..... But in any case, I hope you got rid of the "dream" cake. The graemlins/bcbkick.gif will be for not sending home that cake with one of your guests knowing you have that sweet tooth.......
Wendyj - That must've been SOME musical to not hear from you yesterday!
Looking forward to hearing from you vacationing GBTG buds....
I hope you all have a great OP day! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Good Morning Buddies graemlins/wave.gif
It is a great day to be OP!!! Chop Chop everyone~ We are all going to be BABES by summer!
I am still pumped about last weeks WW meeting! It was so good! I am going to try some of their meals this week. Today I will actually get to make my baked oatmeal. I think a double batch is in order. This week is the start of a very busy spring/summer for us. We have a wedding on Saturday, out of town, that DS1&2 are in. I am not sure what I am wearing yet, but all of my jumpers actually look better on me than they ever have!! They are loose not like the Stuffed Sausage wrappers that they used to be!! I will pick an appropriate one, as with a 10-month old it is just easier to have something carefree to wear and usually I try to match it to whatever color his snacks will be that day, so when it gets smeared all over me it is not as noticeable  . I think Graham Cracker Tan with a busy print of red would be in order ;) .
Raidermom~ Great job on your 1.5# loss graemlins/thumbup.gif The musical was FANTASTIC! We are still humming and singing some of the songs. I really wish my DS1 would get involved with that. I did a lot of that in HS, even had the lead female role my senior year and it was so much fun!!! After seeing his friends having a good time I think that he will reconsider next year. He's pretty much into his sports too. Soccer starts this week. I would like to play on an adult league just to get extra leg exercise in.
I have another WW meeting tonight. I will once again WI. I will not be helping out at the meeting tonight as I have church @ 7PM in another town and also need to practice a duet for tomorrow evenings service. Busy...Busy.
We had major winds and storms yesterday. I thought about you Raidermom. It would have been an awesome day for flying kites, as long as we used water skiing rope.
Jenn~ Great job getting your bike out and riding every day. Wow!!! Sounds like those storms were pretty bad by you too. We had not real damage in our town, but saw on the news last night that many neighboring towns had signs down, trees uprooted and power out. I am so thankful that we did not have any of our huge trees fall on our house or neighbors.
WWCarol~ What amount of raisins and walnuts did you use in your baked oatmeal?? You are doing so good. Again, that online journaling is working. I hope that everyone takes the opportunity to join in. It WORKS!!!
Hi to all of you that I may have missed in the personals, Cheryl39, Kyoot, Redhotmomma, Sandylee, GTF, and everyone else....
Have a great OP day!!!

Hi all, I'm here it's Monday and I'm here! I'm in for the week!!! Today is going great! I have 7points left for supper. I have to work out today and will or no popcorn for me!!! Supper is one of those precooked Taupe Ham's with Salad. I have a plan and I'm in the GAME!! Journal is done, I"m going to "report" in a bit on my current status then will re-report for tonight after supper and before bed, you heard it here and saw it here, and it will happen. My connection to the internet is mess lately but I WILL do this!
Thanks CherylR for the BOOT I do need it! Wendy Good luck with your Duet, and Jenn thanks for starting the Thread. Today is nice out so the boys and I will go for a walk, I would love to get a bike but I think I'll wait on that reward until I deserve the reward. Now that hubbie back to work today went so much better, and the bathroom is spotless, the laundry is done, the mop bucket is full ready for kitchen floor mopping and all the dishes in the kitchen are in the dishwasher waiting for the supper dishes to join them. smile.gif I have a PLAN!

Me again! smile.gif Just did 35minutes on my stepper and in going with Carol's idea of the environment thing. I froze DH's bagels that he has for breakfast and only have one out at a time defrosting for the next morning. Got more laundry done, and had to refill the mop bucket, cause the boys put ducks in it while I was washing down the fridge door, ewww!!

Hi graemlins/wave.gif Back from walk #2.
Boy I missed everyone over the weekend. DH's aunt is by herself on this farmhouse that is soooo old. We worked alot (rather DH). I wasn't an angel down there but I did say NO to pecan pie, 3 berry pie, cinnamon coffee cake. You get the idea. She did buy an angel food cake. It was covered in thick, white frosting
"I told myself will this get me to goal?".
I'm thawing tilapia for tonight with a sweet potato I think and brussels. DH can have steak. I really like that fish.
I'm going out for some things and am making the pinapple oat muffins for 1 point. Anyone try them?
Wendy, we're having major winds right now. Except thy're the crazy kind not good for kites. It would take the kite and fly it back at you Ouch!

GOOD Morning, GBTG-Friends.
And it IS a GOOD morning for me! Lost THREE POUNDS! :D
This "public" journaling is helping me too. I told my leader I had had a good week. She said, "Food-wise?" I realized I had actually had a lot of family stress, but I had used my anger as motivation. I may not be able to make all things better, but I CAN control what I eat! graemlins/thumbup.gif graemlins/bcbsalute.gif
I'm looking forward to another fan-tastic week.
Cheryl~ Congratulations on your LOSS! Go, Girl! And let us know what you find out from the Drs. today. Jenn~ GREAT job on having fun exercising, and increasing your distance! Wendy~ I use 1/4 C. raisins and about 5 halves, broken into pieces. Kyoot~ GREAT idea about freezing the bagels. You wouldn't want to break off your teeth now, would you?! ;) Cheryl39~ The Pineapple Oat Bran muffins are a "family favorite" here! I add 1/4 C.Craisins and about 5 walnut halves in pieces. YUMMY!
Looks like we're all off to a GREAT start, Buddies. Thanks for ALL your help and support.
Did you see my new signature line? I heard it when Dr. Phil was talking to an overweight woman. She said, "But I LOVE FOOD!?" And then Dr. Phil answered:

Hi GBTG buds! Don't have a lot of time but I wanted to check in with you. I had to work 4 hr.(do the baking for local cafe) this am so just now getting my puter time in. Between posting ver on my home forum and getting the new challenge going for the group ANDtrying to have my lunch, it is now nearly 2 pm and I have yet to tackle the sewing. Yikes! Our oldest dd is here from Vancouver ; she owns a double wide here on the island and wants to sell it so she and her SO are painting, ripping up lino and carpets etc. I am staying away from there!LOL DH is at work, he works 1/2 days as our local Postmaster; is on disability for Post-Polio Syndrome but can work short periods. The dog is currently bugging me to take her for our walk but it is REALLY WINDY out there; think I will get on the treadmill. Had leftover turkey potpie for dinner last night and had lots of points left for my popcorn while watching "Something's Gotta Give"........what a superb movie although i would think you'd have to be fiftysomething at least (I am 59) to appreciate it! Please forgive me for not answering posts personally but I just did that over on the home forum and my neck is protesting! Gotta get my journal started here too.
Have a great evening all!

Okay...test results are in.
I have FANTASTIC cholesterol! The doc was very excited and mentioned that this is what a little exercise can do....at my last physical they wanted to put me on meds for HIGH cholesterol. The echo was postive (I re-read this after I got back home, what I MEANT to say was it was all-clear...so NEGATIVE), the Holter showed some arythmia but they were within the "normal" range. No thyroid problems, no blood sugar problems.....everything checks out! ............but my ultrasound. graemlins/ugh.gif
They went in looking for gallstones (which I don't have) and instead found something with my pancreas. I have to now schedule a CT scan. I'll be off to research this online in a bit....but for now I only have time to eat a quick meal and head out the door to take older DD to her acting class.
The good news....I CAN EXERCISE AGAIN! I'll be back at it tomorrow. graemlins/thumbup.gif

Great news on the exercise, Cheryl...along with your amazing cholesterol readings! graemlins/thumbup.gif
Now we'll have to wait with you, while you do some more testing. Luckily, the exercise will probably help reduce any test-related stress or anxiety. graemlins/thumbup.gif graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Cheryl glad to here all was negative. As for hte Pancreas, I had GallBladder problems in 2000, and when they were hunting for my Stones they found my Pancreas was FULL, which of course explained why I was yellow, there was nothing digesting through my Gall bladder or my Pancreas, It was nasty, Attack started on Friday night, Went ot Dr Monday morning, Went to Hospital within 10minutes of that appointment, u/s blood test, Pancreas blasting, then surgery to remove the gallbladder on Wednesdaya nd home by Thursday, Talk about fun when you have a 15month old nursling! LOL But what i'm trying to say is maybe you have a stone floating, they called it Pancreatitis?

They wrote "heterogeneous pancreas" on the form for my CAT scan......and I'm having trouble finding anything on that. My doc said that the pancreas is supposed to be smooth and the radiologist thinks she may have seen otherwise.
But I'm not nervous! I am about the stuff I have to drink the day before the test...but other than that I'll just be glad when this testing is OVER.
And you're right about that exercise....it'll be a great distraction from all of this.

Good evening GBTG Buddies,
I've had another great day (3 in a row now) and am just getting ready to take the dogs out. I actually turned down Starbucks today because it wasn't in my Points budget. Yay me! It's the small victories isn't it ladies?
Carol and Cheryl, great job on the weight loss ladies. You rock! Cheryl, I'm also glad to hear your tests went well. I'm sure the pancreas testing will turn out fine.
Diana, I'm in Edmonton. We're just starting to do some painting & small reno's in our home too. Nothing brings a couple closer together than home improvement projects
I just started scrap booking and got my "big" order today so I'm surrounded by paper, new pens and the like but I promised myself no playing until I get that walk in!
Hi to Jenn, Wendy J, GTF, and anyone else I've missed. Have a wonderful evening and let's all stay focused for another great day tomorrow.

Good evening GBTG buddies,
I'm back and everyone's windy weather got here this afternoon. It's not as bad as Jenn got though. It was up over 80 here too but no records. Tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 50s.
I don't know what happened but I couldn't get here from work today. So I'm late posting.
Vacation went OK except for the rain, and the fact that the town rolled up its sidewalks for the season the day before we got there. Over half of the restaurants and shops were closed. Skiing was good on days it didn't rain. My knees lasted all morning, until the snow turned to heavy slush anyhow. Somehow they manage to groom it all out by morning (it did get below freezing every night). We also did some shopping over in New Hampshire on the rainy days. I got some clothes and kitchen stuff. On the way back I got a bowl for my 1930's vintage mixer from an antique mall. On the way home we also drove from late winter to mid-spring. The daffodils are blooming by the driveway.
The last day I lost my keys (or they were stolen), and I'm now in the process of getting them all replaced. It's going to take a couple weeks and many $$$ to replace both car keys and both remotes. I was very bummed and simply decided that since it was my stupidity, I'm spending my birthday money.
Food wise we did OK, thanks to the kitchenette in the room that enabled us to do breakfast and snacks and a few lunches at least reasonably, and also store and re-heat restaurant leftovers. Limited restaurant choices hurt. Even dd got tired of "salt and grease." Weight wise, I broke even for the week. Which may actually be a loss, once I get a couple days to get the salt out of my system.
Exercise wise, I either worked out for an hour or more or skied every day. They had decent health club stuff there - a universal machine, some free weights, and various cardio toys. I went in the pool too, but to play with dd and relax, not to exercise.
So now I am back with my CANCAN(!) and getting going on a new week. I want to make goal by my birthday at the end of May!

Good Morning GBTG Buds! graemlins/wave.gif
These boards are hoppin'! That means we are all into this and that's a good thing! ;)
Sandylee, GTF, ladies......where are you? Feel free to lurk, but check in and let us know how you are doing once in awhile.
Today is my first day back at the gym in almost a month. I'm pumped, but a little nervous. I hope I don't have to start at "square one" again. But if I do...so what I suppose. And the gym DID extend my membership the amount of days that I was unable to exercise. Great huh?
I failed to mention yesterday in my talk of test results that when we were going over cholesterol numbers and the doc was praising exercise. I told her that SINCE my test I've added oatmeal to my diet every morning and told her about the Baked Oatmeal. The doc quickly tore off a prescription paper from her pad and asked me to write down the recipe.....LOL! SHE eats the flavored oatmeal from the little packages........
Nancy - WELCOME BACK! Sorry to hear about your key fiasco. What a pain! No longer can you simply replace just a key...you have to replace the little electronic devices as well.
Has the salt cleared your system yet? graemlins/ugh.gif
Cheryl39 - Angel food cake....covered with white frosting?? Eeew. LOL tongue.gif I am going to try those pineapple oat muffins......if you and Carol like them so much they are worthy of an attempt!
Wendyj - Here's hoping your WI went well! BABES by summer...you betcha! graemlins/thumbup.gif Kite flying with a water skiing rope.....how many activity points do ya think that'd be? ;)
Kyoot - I love to see the accountability in you this week. And I wouldn't think of the bike as a reward, I would think of it as a tool. Get yourself I bike if you are determined to use one!
Diana - Busy, busy, busy..you are one busy lady! What do you bake for the local cafe? Sounds like fun!
Pam - You turned down Starbucks, good for you! I'm not a fan, but it sounds like you are.
It sure sounds like your lovin' the scrap booking.....sounds like a great hobby. I love to read books too.....but lately everytime I try I fall asleep. LOL
Have a wonderful OP day buddies! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Good morning ladies,
Another busy day, so this will be brief. I am SO happy I am publically jounalling, it kicked my butt back into my mantra "When you are out of points, you're out of food!" I went over by 1 point yesterday due to a miscalculation (which i will make up for today), but I remember how much I LOVED the feeling of control I had over myself in losing points mode. So now I am back and HAPPY instead of resentful. Extra motivation is that I pulled out some of last summer capris and yep, they are tight...but they WON'T be in about a month!!
Raidermom ~ I'm so happy you can exercise again, and I hope the CT comes up all clear!
Wendy ~ You're right, we WILL be babes this summer!
Kyoot ~ graemlins/thumbup.gif on your enthusiam!! And OMG, your house sounds so CLEAN!! (Wanna comes do mine??? extra APs!!! tongue.gif )
Cheryl ~ Good for you having self-control BTW, your dinner sounded yummy!
Carol ~ WEIGH TO GO ON YOUR LOSS!!!! That's awesome!! Now you have to update your sig!
Redhotmama (Diana) ~ A belated welcome and thanks for checking in!
Canadian Girl (Pam) ~ Good for you turning down Starbucks. I only know too well how hard that can be

GOOD Morning, GBTG-Friends!
This will be short because DH and I are fighting...
And I've got to exercise FIRST THING! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif
What should my signature carry? What I weigh at WW's weigh-in? Or at-home, bare? I switch, and I need to be consistent.
Be back after I've exercised! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Take that anger energy Carol and put it to good use!
DH will never know what hit him! ;)
Seriously...if the going gets tough today, take care of YOU and let DH make a bologna sandwich. LOL
How did your casserole turn out?
I would pick a scale and be consistent, I agree. It doesn't matter...we don't care. If you're going to use the WW scale for your goal weight and celebration, maybe that's the one I would tend to pick as the official one.
WWCarol
04-20-2004, 05:08 AM
Good idea, Cheryl. I'll use it. It's just HARD sometimes... ;) Maybe I'll include BOTH!
Whipped up some baked oatmeal, and it'll be ready after exercise! graemlins/thumbup.gif I need to fire-up the BIG oven and make a LOT of this stuff.
The Chicken Barley Casserole was a BIG hit! DH said, "I'd like to have this TWO times a week~" smile.gif (That means he likes it.)
Normally when we fight, I turn to "sweets". Not this time! I am determined to get-to-goal and take care of myself. graemlins/bcbsalute.gif
[Edit: On the slivered almonds in the casserole? TOAST THEM! It made a wonderful difference. You can do it in the microwave. 4 minutes on a paper plate on "high". SHAKE them after every minute...Perfection!)

oooooooh! thanks for the almond tip! I will definitely use it. I am really anxious to try this recipe, I'm thinking either Thursday or Friday. (after I get to the grocery store...AGAIN!) Now the barley, since I've never cooked with it, do I buy those little boxes or the barley that's in the bags by the dried beans?

Thanks Carol....
I just got back from the gym and not all was lost. I had them take my measurements all over again to start from scratch and everything was exactly the same as when I started the gym in the beginning, except my waist...which was down 1". So I'm thrilled with that! And I'm anxious to see how well this goes being completely OP AND exercising...
The trainers were giving away "nutrition bars" as we were leaving...3 different kinds. I read the nutrition info on each one and said, "no thanks!"
They appeared puzzled or insulted..It was hard to tell, so I explained the WW stuff and how I figure out points and proceeded to tell them that these weren't nutrition bars at all, they were candy bars. SlimFast were two of the bars and some granola bar was the third. They had NO protein, NO fiber, high in fat and IMO calories.....NO THANKS! :D
I am literally starting from scratch at the gym...they said that I have to start from square one and work my way back up again. I never really figured out activity points before so I'm really not sure now. I read that it's 1 point for every 100 calories burned...so that would give me 1 for the bike I did today...what about the 40 minutes of strength training? I gave myself 1....but I don't have a clue. Now when I get my butt back on that elliptical I'll be earning some AP's! I was burning 300-500 calories between that and the bike! Is there a cap on the AP's?
WWCarol
04-20-2004, 11:13 AM
I plugged your weight into my Palm. It's based upon weight, minutes exercised, and intensity level. (I plugged in your current weight.)
10 minutes: Light:0, M:1, High:1
20 minutes: Light:1, Moderate:1, High:3
30 minutes: Light:1, M:2, High:4
40 minutes: Light:2, M:2, High:6
Only you can know your "intensity" level. smile.gif I do not think there is a cap on APs. There have been numerous discussions, however, on what to count as "exercise". :D
I'd say your 40 minutes of strength training would be at LEAST two, if not three!
I got some of Dr. Phil vitamin packets. They're terribly expensive, but on sale at RiteAid right now. I've been looking into vitamins lately, and decided to add some new ones to my BORING multivitamin + C + E. graemlins/bcbsalute.gif If I get TONS of energy, and I'm able to "remember" things again, I'll let you all know! :D
raidermom
04-20-2004, 11:21 AM
Thanks Carol!
So I would think the weights are low intensity...so 40 minutes would be 2. The bike for me is medium....so 1 for that. I have 3 for the day! WOO HOO!
I'm going to copy and paste that info...thanks.
btw - you're not going to report in if your pee turns a bright yellow are ya?

Hi Laides, graemlins/wave.gif
I could not get on here earlier as my DH had to take our monitor into work and see if it had the same problems when hooked up to another pc. ArgH!! It does, now I will have to call Dell and get them to give us a new one. We just got our computer the end of February.
The WI went great last night. I was down a little from Saturday. graemlins/thumbup.gif
I have to go and get ready for our evening church service. I am singing a duet with a friend and need to be there a little early to do another run through.
It looks like everyone is really doing GREAT! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif
What a great atmosphere here on our boards!!
Cheryl, I am so glad that you can exercise again. It will make you feel so good. :D
Hi to everyone, I will stop back either tonight or tomorrow very early AM.
Have a great night all!! ;)

Hello, GBTG buddies! I know, I know, a little late outta da gate today! Had to go grocery shopping , got home about 1:30, had my lunch and made dh's dinner, put away the groceries (not in that order!), cleaned the strawberries (CA of course!), cut up veggies ready to eat so that's why I am so late. Do you care? LOL My dear hubby won't eat WW, hates veggies (and no, he is not overweight) and most of the time fends for himself but I did make him his fave tuna casserole (heavy on the cheese etc.etc.) and I am having leftover strirfry from yesterday..........unless my visiting daughter ate the rest.........hmm, I had better check that out! I am going to hunker down tomorrow at home and get some sewing done......I refuse to leave the house tomorrow! Feel very motivated being OP and in control! Yeah! Hello to all, have to get to my journal......being accountable on here is really helping.......thanks to "whoever" started this trend! Have a good evening!

Good Evening Ladies,
I am pooped today because for the past few nights I've just not been able to turn my brain off and go to sleep and it's finally catching up with me. At least I'm not in that mood where you're just so tired all you do is eat. I journalled my lunch out today for Secretaries Day, I still have Flex Points left and I'm off tonight for a long walk with the dogs.
Cheryl, I usually count my weights as 1 pt. per half hour but that's just me smile.gif You'll be surprised at how quickly your body will respond to being back at the gym.
Carol, chin up and hugs buddy. You're right, take care of yourself first. Hope you and DH got things straightened out.
Wendy, have fun with your duet tonight. I love to sing but wish I was blessed with a better voice; come to think of it, I'm sure the people who sit around me at church which I was too LOL.
Diana, Nancy, Jen, Cheryl39, GTF, SandiLee and all you other GBTG Buddies, a big graemlins/wave.gif to you all.
Have a wonderful evening Buddies,

hi guys i'm back
Pam, I hope you get your graemlins/sleep.gif
Cheryl, thats great you can work out again, AND you lost an other inch too. Thats fan-tas-tic. The pinapple muffins are really good graemlins/thumbup.gif
Diana, sometimes I cook 2 meals also. He doesn't like fish and I do. Oh well, we do what we have to.
Carol, I am so happy and envious of your loss. I journal on etools. I really like those pinapple oat muffins. I can't believe they're 1 point. I make my work out first bf I come here or else, it slides down on my list until I don't want to even start.
Jenn, thanks for sharing your mantra
"When you are out of points, you're out of food!"I used it tonight to STOP MYSELF.
Hi Nancy bummer about the key thing
Hi Wendy, I agree, everyone has the right 'tude.
The right attitude is what I need bc I stepped on the scale and its says 170 now. OMG what is going on.
Gotta go, scrubs is on
Oh yeah, I changed method of bc "the patch". Maybe thats the gain...

Good evening buddies,
It looks like I'm going to be posting in the evenings for the forseeable future. I can't get to BCB from work, and I don't know why. I can get to most of the Internet just fine. And I'm not about to report the problem... But just so you know, I'm not ignoring you all.
I have now ordered all my replacement keys and have obtained some of them. For my dh's car (key and remote): $220  For my car it will be about $75 (no computer in the key yet, just in the remote). Plus under $10 total for the other 3 keys I have to buy, plus my office and desk keys which thankfully they don't make me pay for. Stupid move when you think about it, how come I was even carrying any keys other than for dh's car.. but I always carry all my keys.
Carol, your signature can carry whichever weight you want. I'm boring with the vitamins, 1 Centrum (with lutein, on orders from my eye dr.), and 2 Citrical a day (generic versions of both).
Cheryl, you have a start on the activity points. I count lots of stuff as exercise. As you get back to using more weight the intensity may go up. I eat those APs too, or I don't lose! I'm glad you're not all the way back to square one.
Diana, I don't think I said "HI" yet! I love to bake, but only when I know who (besides me) is going to be doing the eating. How cool to be able to sell your work! I am lucky, my dh eats what I cook.
Yes Pam, it's the small victories that count. They add up! You too Kyoot! Good work!
Jenn, the capris sound like motivation to me. My dd doesn't think I'd look good in them. I've never even tried them - I have fat legs even when the rest of me isn't. Maybe if I lost 25 lb. past my goal... but first I have to get to goal.
Wendy, enjoy your singing.
Cheryl, have a good walk.
Anyone I missed, graemlins/wave.gif
Have a good evening!

Hi everyone,
Today is going to be particularly challenging. We just had a brunch for Secretary's Day and there will be birthday cake for my boss in about an hour. But I WILL be just fine!!
I'm starting to wake up at night thinking about work stuff, and that is bad. So this is just a quick check in, if I get a free minute, I will come back and do proper personals.
Just wanted to wish everyone a great OP day!!!

GOOD Morning, GBTG-friends~
Mine will be short, too. smile.gif We're going to a nursery, a ways from here, and I'm going to be buying some great specialty vegetable starts! I'm getting my DD a "stevia" plant! She's so excited. You can use the leaves for SUGAR.
Welcome back, Tanya. I joined the GBTG thread when you and Cheryl39 were there. And GUESS WHAT?! I GOT BACK TO GOAL easily and happily left-the-group! :D It CAN be done, Buddies. graemlins/bcbsalute.gif Let's blow-this-joint!
Nancy~ I do NOT think you should use your b'day $$ for replacement keys! tongue.gif It was a mistake. Find the $$ from another part of your budget. Can you imagine people asking, "What did you get for you birthday?!" http://www.dearbornheightsraiders.org/bday.gif And you answer: "Replacement keys..."
Nope. It just doesn't sound right. ;)
Well, I weighed. Not a budge. But my body is probably still adjusting to last week's loss. I'm still OP. Thanks to the scrutiny of the GBTG Journal! See you, Buddies~

We are having a big family barbq on Sunday so I can say thanks to all the family and friends who helped us through this trying time.I will still watch though, isn't it funny how this ww program always lingers in the back of your mind  its always just a thought away.Thats why I think it won't be so hard to get back in the groove. So whats changed with the program anything much?
Have a great day smile.gif

G'morning, GBTG buddies! I am very out of sorts today so I won't bore you all but I am checking in. So far this week staying OP and strangely enough having trouble using all my points. The fresh strawberries brought me to my target last night, though. I am going to the doc to talk to her about my antidepressant meds as I don't think they are working as they should. Anyway I will post my journal later. Have a good day, buddies!
Welcome back Tanya!
Pam, yes one cup of cooked bulgar is 2 points, half that of rice!

Just checking in. I have zippo points left. I was in and out between rain showers trying to re-dig a trench around my garden, I have to divide some perinnials that are spreading out. I'm also reading a book by Nora Roberts, I usually don't read this time of year, too much outside stuff but my Aunt really liked it, loaned it to me. graemlins/wave.gif

STILL here at work, though I am leaving after this post! Despite the food fest and the extremely stressful day I had, I did not blow it on points. I ended up having cake as my lunch to do it, but I was too busy to stop and east anyway. I think I've got, like 6 points left for dinner, totally doable. If it wasn't for you guys, I'd be WAY over on points today, let me tell you.
And it's going to be WORSE tomorrow -- they are ordering pizza for all the kiddies in the office for Take your kid to work day. I will budget for it, gotta love WW!
Will do personals tomorrow. Have a great OP night all!!!

Hi all,
Well I knew the results would be bad but I also knew if I didn't weighin, it would keep spiraling, so I'm at 157.2 which is 2lbs from my grace! I'm very upset with me but i'm happy with me too because I did have 2 good days last week. The week before I had 0 good days. I'm doing better already though on the road to next weighin since I ended this week better than I began. Carol I'm off to fill in today's journal. (there will be kickings) BTW Bunny chocolate SUCKS compared to real chocolate so the bunny was thrown in the trash today along with his friends the bad eggs. I was thinking of giving it to my boys but then I thought to myself, they are worth better quality chocolate if I'm going to give them chocolate. I'm worth better quality chocolate. 2Days now to TOM and AF so that could account for some of the gain but not 5.4 in 2wks! I know the cause and I'm saying it here and now it will be better!!!
CherylR yes the bike would be a tool for my weight loss but when your paycheck to paycheck it has to wait and be a reward. :( I have to EARN it and feel like I Deserve it and so I'm going to get out my flyers and put it on my fridge a picture of the exact bike I want! no bells and whistles maybe tassels?
Jen, Nancy, Cheryl39, Spider, and all the Buddies your doing awsome, Join me in the CanCAn, so I can WILL WILL!!

Good Morning GBTG Buds! graemlins/wave.gif
Today will be a much better day than yesterday....IT'S PAYDAY! graemlins/crazy.gif So I have my shopping list and I'll be headed out the door sometime this morning. I think I'll hit Meijer's & Costco since they are right next door to each other.
I found a "bar" yesterday that I fell in love with and that will help with the sweet tooth. It's an Atkins bar....but please don't roll your eyes....it's a low calorie, no sugar bar that tastes exactly like Reese's Sticks. Now who doesn't love those?! (It could say Atkins, WW, or Geritol on the wrapper...all I know is they are GOOD!) They are only 2.5 points for the whole thing (2 sticks)! So I ordered 2 boxes online. This place (vitacost.com) has all Atkins products 60% off. What I like about this website is when you click on an item it'll give you all the nutrition info. They have a cereal that I ordered as well, it's Morning Start Almond Crunch. It is only 1 point per serving and the reviews on it are great (a lot say MUCH better than Kashi).....so I'm giving it a try, it's high fiber. I also got some breakfast bars to try as well....apple crisp.
Ooooh! And while I was at Target yesterday I noticed that they had Dr. Phil bars on sale....$.50 each! I got 10 for now and might go back and get more. I had them before and thought they were okay, but at that price I think I love them! ;)
I think DS has a touch of food poisoning. He was at his dad's house last night and about an hour after he came home he was in the bathroom with stuff flying out of every opening. Poor kid.... I asked him what was for dinner......hot dogs.......cooked in the microwave. tongue.gif Now if there were ever a food to carefully cook to that certain temp, hot dogs would be it for me. Especially with all the listeria in the past few weeks. A micro just doesn't cook the whole thing evenly ....so I'm betting that's what is causing him the grief. He's staying home today to rest....
Nancy - I'm with Carol....don't use birthday money! Get the keys and use the birthday money to go get a pedicure and some pampering. And what....you don't want to go and tell your boss, "Hey! I need to get online and check in with my internet message board buddies!" ?? Awww, c'mon. Any boss would surely see that this is a productive use of company time. ;)
Tanya - Welcome to our group! I don't know anything about a butt roller....but hopefully whatever it is, it works for you! I agree with Cheryl39...time to put you first now. I wish you the best of luck.
Carol - My losses don't really happen until towards the end of my week for whatever reason. Don't look at the scale on Weds. and get disappointed. Just remain OP and all will work out. Maybe your high point day yesterday will send a little "jolt" to your system. It usually does for me....
Diana - I hope that your Dr. can find the right meds for you so you feel better. And eating strawberries to take you to your target point isn't the worst thing in the world... :D
Cheryl39 - Zippo points left including your Flex? How did you do last night?
Jenn - Ok, another day of temptation. Plan, plan, plan and make it a good day! Put more salad (if there's any) on that plate than pizza and eat slowly.........savoring each little bite.
Kyoot - C'mon girl...I want your CanCan attitude that we all love so much. You're slipping into "maybe, baby". You CAN CAN!
Wendyj - I hope you're just busy or having those computer problems because you have that great attitude too. How are you doing?
GTF, Sandylee, Pam......HELLO! graemlins/wave.gif
Have a great day everyone. graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Hey everyone,
I wish I can say I kept on the same good track as I left on my post from last night, but sadly, I did not (if you really want to know, see my journal on that thread). I will accept my graemlins/bcbkick.gif and pull myself up with my bootstraps.
Today is going to be more challenging than yesterday, so I have to figure out a way to get enough to eat without going over points. I am COMMITTED!!! (Or at least I should be committed...... in the mental hospital sense!!) I hope they are ordering salad along with the pizza, if they are not, I will run across the street to the cafeteria and grab one to eat with a square of pizza (squares are good, smaller and less points than slices!!)
I am a volume eater, so yesterday when I had so few points left but also ate little amounts of food, I found myself HUNGRY, wishing that I allowed myself flexpoints (I don't, I follow more of the Winning Points version).
Raidermom ~ Sorry that DS was sick, I hope he is feeling better today. Thanks for the pep talk and the suggestion on salad! Sorry you were depressed by AI. I think the actual contestants were as shocked as the viewers.
Kyoot ~ Here is your graemlins/bcbkick.gif , now come on, we can both CANCAN!! One day at a time (that's what I keep telling myself!!)
Nancy ~ Birthday money on keys??? NONSENSE!!! Unless of course the keys are attached to a brand new car/house/whatever tongue.gif
Tanya ~ graemlins/wave.gif and welcome!! NO IDEA what a butt roller is!!!! Good luck and hope to see you here often!
Diana ~ Better to get up to your target with healthy strawberries. I wish I had a hard time eating ENOUGH!!
Cheryl ~ Did you maybe earn a couple of APs to use for food?? In a pinch, I've been known to roast LOADS of 0point veggies to get by the "out of points, out of food" mantra. I should have done that myself last night.
Wendy ~ get that monitor replaced??
Carol ~ Sorry you had a graemlins/sobbing.gif day. I'm happy that flex came to your rescue!!!!
graemlins/wave.gif to everyone else!!! Have a great OP day buddies!! I'll honk if I need you today!!!

Hello to all of my Buddies,
This is a very hectic week not any different from everyone else. We have had meetings at church everynight this week, and soccer and Dr appointments and a wedding this weekend that 2 of the 3 DS's are in. We will be leaving early afternoon tomorrow(Friday).
As far as our monitor goes Dell is going to replace it. They responded yesterday and are sending me everything we will need to return so at that point I may be offline for a week or so, but then again I find that the support here is top notch and I will probably get to a computer come H*** or High Water ;) .
I am waiting for all of the kids to get here for the day. It is already after 11:00am so I am not sure where the twins are, it would be kinda nice not to have them here today as I need to get organized for our out of town trip.
My DH left me only one Baked Oatmeal so as soon as I am done posting I am making a double batch and freezing one. Heck maybe I should make a quadruple batch
I got my 3-mile WATP in this morning and am showered and ready for whatever comes my way today.
I don't want to bring anyone down, but just want to share this with you as these girls are very important to me and are going through such a tough time right now.
Two sisters that I worked with for the last several years at our local (small) Chiropractic office are having some tough times. The sisters are 20 and 19 they also have a younger sister who is in 8th grade. Their parents were in a bad motorcycle accident this past Sunday when the winds were so bad. Their dad has broken ribs and road rash, but is okay. Their mom (who is only 1 year to the day older than me--I cannot imagine having children that age)had to be medflighted to one of our centrally located Hospitals in the state and had emergency brain surgery. They had to relieve the swelling and removed part of her frontal lobe. She has 17 cracked ribs that have caused puncture wounds to her lungs. She remains in a drug-induced coma to avoid any movement at this time. It is so sad!!! We just saw them at the younger sister musical last Saturday night.
It just helps me realize that I should never take anything or anybody for granted. Our lives are a gift and we need to enjoy every minute of it.
Well I had better get that baked oatmeal made as I am starving.
I will talk to all of you real soon. Welcome to all of the new buddies and old buddies returned.
I am so glad that you are here.
Have a great OP Day!!

GOOD Morning, GBTG-Buds~
I got up early and haven't been feeling well. I couldn't get my heart-rate out of "slugville"...TRY as I might! When I drink my water I feel nauseous. tongue.gif
DH made the Baked Oatmeal for us this morning! He did a great job.
It could say Atkins, WW, or Geritol on the wrapper...all I know is they are GOOD! Cheryl, I saw some "chocolate" you might want to try; it says EX-LAX on the wrapper.
;) tongue.gif
Wendy~ That is so terribly sad. DH bought a scooter last year...and dumped it while practicing for the driving test. Every time he left on it, I worried. We just took it to get the fender repainted. Well, I guess a guy AT THE SHOP took it for a joy-ride and scratched the OTHER fender! I can not WAIT to put a "FOR SALE" sign on it.
Buddies, I'm not at my best today. I'm going to shower, then read...Broth sounds good. Do you think I'm being punished?! ( ;) graemlins/ugh.gif )

Hi all, I'm here and in the game still! today is a new day, and it is going well. I CAN and WILL do this. I put A Sign on the fridge, RE WROTE my "I'm #1" Signs and I'm going well, it is wet today but i'm going walking. I'm babysitting for na hour tongiht and then walking.

Good evening buddies,
It has been a long couple of days. Work is graemlins/crazy.gif and getting worse. Yesterday we did take some time out for a celebration lunch (I ate half), then we got the afternoon off, which was fun.
I used the time to get my glasses adjusted, then the real craziness started. I started having problems with chest pain. Yes, a trip to the ER was in order, and I was hooked up to all kinds of amazing machines and had an array of tests (blood work and EKG and chest X-ray), and it scared the bejeebees out of my dd (not to mention us). Thank God it wasn't a cardiac problem. What they think happened is a form of acid reflux. The medicine for that made the pain go away. So I am on Pepcid AC for 2 weeks, and I guess I may have to make some dietary changes. Among the suggestions: lose the weight.
Needless to say I didn't attempt to work any more, so I am more behind schedule than ever. Half the team went back to work! Then today we lost half the day to a useless extended team meeting with our new team leader (this was announced last week while over half of us, including the old team leader, were on vacation...). The new guy works at a different location so it's going to be interesting (in the Chinese curse sense).
I am still locked out of BCB from work. They are fighting a mass e-mail worm and some other stuff, and have apparently blocked off some parts of the Internet.
I don't have a lot of time or energy left, so I hope you forgive me if I don't say hi to everyone.
Wendy, your friends' parents will be in my prayers.

Good Morning Buddies, graemlins/wave.gif
How is everyone today?
We are doing well here and I am very stressed as I have to get everything packed for our out-of-town trip for the wedding. We may have to take our little Saturn as our van went in for a tune-up and it still is not done. The shop found some complications and are not sure if it will be back together before we leave. ARGH!! Yes we will be like sardines in that car, but it will be a lot more economical gas wise. I have a hard time packing light, but think I can do it. We are leaving around 1:30pm. I still have my workout, ironing, laundry, bottles to make, and all of the packing. I get really anxious and panicky when I have to get all of this done.
Thank you to all of you who are saying prayers for my friends parents. So far the brain swelling is going down, but she is still in very critical condition. What a difference a day makes.
I don't have time for personals right now, but am checking in and if I get some free time before we leave I will get the personals in.
Have a great OP day, graemlins/bcbsalute.gif ,

I missed the gym yesterday..not enough hours in the day. I could've went after supper but I don't know about you, I can't exercise on a full stomach. If I can't fit it in before dinner, it's a wash. I did do a ton of walking and ate right at my target so I should be fine. I'm dropping Sarah off at school and heading straight for the gym today.
Since I have to be quiet I think I might tackle some sub buns today using the bran bread recipe. I got DH all excited last night about making muffins....I went to make them and realized I bought wheat gluten instead of wheat bran. So I'll drop by the grocery store after the gym (LOL) and pick up some wheat AND oat bran. I feel like baking......
Jenn - I'm thinking maybe Flex is for you. Why don't you give it a try? Then you can pretty much eat at your target on most days but when the unexpected comes up you have those 35 points to play with! I'm trying it for the first time this week and so far I haven't touched them. Today, I resolve to change that statistic!
Wendyj - That's a horrible story. My thoughts and prayers go to the family. With today's traffic volume I just think motorcycles are very dangerous....JMHO.
Crammed into a Saturn for a long weekend...now THAT sounds like fun! ;) I get very anxious before stuff like that too...you're not alone there. Have a SAFE and fun trip.
Kyoot - Tag, you're it! :D
Cheryl39 - I hear ya....I eat very lightly, watching my sodium especially on that day before WI.
Nancy - That must've been a scary episode for you yesterday! I'm glad it's all clear on the cardiac front. Are you going to go to your regular doctor to get checked for acid reflux? After all my testing for heart trouble the doctor feels that it's anxiety for me...with 2 teenagers? DUH.
Carol - I'm a chocolate snob....so Exlax is a little too waxy for this palate. ;)
How nice for DH to make your baked oatmeal! Mine still won't even TRY it. Here's hoping you WILL be at your best today. graemlins/thumbup.gif
Have a wonderful Friday everyone! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Good morning,
Work is graemlins/crazy.gif for me too. Must be the time of year. So I will attempt to make this brief.
I stayed within points yesterday, despite it being a bad day emotionally AND will all the temptation. Yeah ME!! Makes me even more determined today.
Mentally, I can't do flexpoints. I hate flexpoints. For me, it's license to binge. I need the structure of winning points, having to EARN banked points, and "reverse banking" if I go over. If I had that kind of willpower to use the flexpoints properly, I wouldn't have needed WW in the first place. Now, this is just for me, not criticizing anyone else who used FP. Plus, I am used to eating a certain amount and I'd have to eat a lower target than the amount I eat now. Eating any lower and it makes WW seem like a diet, and if it starts to feel that way, bad things happen for me!!
No time for real personals, other than to say that Wendy, your friend's mother is in my prayers and I'm glad that her condition is beginning to improve.
Have a great OP day everyone!!!

OK CherylR Your it now! tongue.gif I'm loving the way today is going so far it is noon and I've done bfest and lunch, I have 16 left for the day so I may do a snack this afternoon or keep it all for Supper. I think jen your right about the structure of Winning, I find the weeks I succeed are the weeks I use my flex evenly instead of "oh I can have this and this and this today" (see Easter and last week prime examples)
WEndy, YAY! on the Van getting fixed for you trip. That is great it will make a huge difference i'm sure for the comfort level of the kids and yourself. I love our vans, they make it very easy to travel especially since mr4.75 gets car sick, withthe Van he can see mroe out the windows.
So still happy friday, mr 2 decided today was a nap day, no wonder it was 11pm when he went to sleep finally and 6am when he woke up to pee! yAy!! a dry night, but I guess with only 7hours your not really having time for pee to accumulate and sleep at the same time. I'll call that oen luck of the draw.

GOOD Morning, GBTG-Friends! graemlins/wave.gif
Yesterday I overdid it on SALT! tongue.gif But the Raw Vegetable Soup, made in the Vitamix was wonderful, and really helped.
I feel like I'm moving as slow-as-molasses today, and my brain feels foggy. On top of that, I'm super-super-sensitive emotionally. I even don't like to be around my-SELF!! LOL!
Cheryl~ I know ALL about anxiety. And remember my friend who went to the ER and was tested for heart palpitations? Anxiety, too. Did they make any recommendations?
I had a light intensity exercise again today. I am NOT myself! tongue.gif I'll probably get in the car with DH and go shopping for plants...JUST to see if I can change this rotten mind-set! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Good morning GBTG buds! Another sunny day here just like yesterday although we had rain during the night. I got rid of my migraine that started after I got home from work yesterday and I had a nap in the afternoon. Of course, that meant I had a broken night but so what else is new? I have a dr. appt on Monday to talk to her about my meds and this darn anxiety thing. When I wake up in the night I have to get up and do something for an hour, otherwise I just writhe and twitch around, can't lie still.....don't have a clue what's up with that! Mike(dh) and I are going to Vancouver on Tues. as he has to go to the university hosp. for his annual post polio review and pulmonary testing. Our ferry costs are paid for by the govt. and I am able to go as an "escort" paid for as well. Just gas costs. I am hoping to see Teresa(dd) and hit some quilt shops while he is at the hosp. Have to stick around home today as the pest control man is coming to check the perimeter to keep a lid on our carpenter ants, so far so good since the last big treatments. I think the water delivery is coming today (we drink bottled water); he better come, we are down to one bottle on the cooler downstairs. Our water is safe to drink, but we have got used to drinking the nice mountain spring bottled stuff. Our house water comes from the lake and goes through a central treatment facility that services about 50 homes and can get rather murky when it rains a lot like it does here. It is apparently safe but i just don't want to drink it. I am going to have lunch next week with a friend who had a cochlear implant last year so that will be fun. She is back to work but is still adjusting to hearing in groups and in stores etc. There is a fairly wide learning curve with the implant as one's brain relearns what it is hearing. Interesting stuff; I am keeping up with what is going on in that field with the online groups I belong to. Just wish they would hurry up and get my assessment scheduled. *sigh* OOPS, guess I had better add that I am severely hearing impaired and am waiting to see if I can get a cochlear implant.
Stayed POP yesterday (yay me!) but had trouble getting in all my points as I don't feel like eating when I have a migraine but I took one of my pills and felt better about 9pm so had a snack to get to target. Need to work on the water, though. Also didn't get my walk in due to the headache but will get it in today. Well I had better get going......I hear my "boss" (dh :D )stirring. He works 1/2 days as Postmaster...12:30-4:30 so he gets up leisurely! Have a great OP day everyone!
BTW, if you are wondering why I have not posted my stats; I am too embarrassed to admit how far off track I got! Working on that one!

Good evening buddies,
I'm working on another late day at work, and maybe some this weekend. But tomorrow is band day and I won't miss that. Members of several local community bands are getting together for a day of music and socializing.
I'm doing much better. I think just knowing what's going on with my chest has taken off a load of stress.
Tonight we had fish for dinner, steelhead trout with teryaki sauce, mashed potatoes and salad. Perhaps getting back to a normal diet is going to help too.
Cheryl, I have drooled over granite too. Maybe when I re-do the kitchen. Eventually.
Havea great evening!

good morning,
YAY!! Another dry night for mr2, that helps me not stress eat, and this will save us about 80.00 a month on Pullups, smile.gif which means more money for my bike! This morning is going well it is 1032am and bfest is finished and cleaned up, and the boys are dressed and I'm thinking of taking them to the park for some fun time, they need the air and with Dh there it will be easier to keep them in my sites. I'll let him take mr4 and i'll stick to mr2. That should also get us some energy used up and a nice and smooth bed time tonight. My walking partner has a function tonight so we are going to walk this after noon for our 90minutes. planning is working so well for my excerise if we only get the 60minutes in I'll drag dh and the boys out for the rest of it after supper. We live in the a wooded area so I like having someone with me when walking. After my meeting Wednesday night 2 deer were crossing our street, last Saturday a fox was on my back fence so it's woodsy
Nancy good to hear you getting you taken care of, and that you have lowered your stress just by knowing what is going on. Goooooo nancy!!Good morning to the rest of our gbtg buddies we're on Saturay now, only today and Sunday to a new thread,

Good Morning GBTG Buddies! graemlins/wave.gif
Today is picture day for SarahBear....well, today she's not my little bear, she is my little baby bumblebee. ;) Since we joined the ballet class later in the year, her costume is not in yet...but the studio assures me that they have a costume in her size to wear for the pictures today. My fingers are crossed. Also, all the moms are in a panic over making a bun.......Sarah is the only one that wears one for practice. So I have a feeling I will be a little busy this afternoon. I am going to make a run for some hair pins and hair nets...just in case.
I had to do my Almond Chicken in the oven yesterday...never got around to sticking it in the slow cooker. It was pretty decent. I happen to think it was a little bland, needing garlic and maybe some sherry, but DH liked it just the way it was. Good, I've got just enough leftovers for him for dinner...I'll go get Quizno's.
I also made the "amazing muffins"..which is the pineapple oat muffins, only using wheat bran instead of oat bran. DH loves them....I think they're a little too bland and "wheaty". So I am going to make them with the oat bran and add a little cinnamon and vanilla and compare.
Kyoot - Hooray for Mr2! What a relief it is to have them potty trained.
I wouldn't be walking around the woods by myself either...although I would love to walk in a beautiful area such as that.
Nancy - Glad you stress level has decreased...and your dinner sounded wonderful!
Cheryl39 - I never got around to the sub buns actually. I don't think I will today either. Maybe tomorrow...OR we are planning a little picnic after school on Wednesday and I might just make them for that. But I WILL MAKE THEM!
And I love granite countertops. A friend of mine owns her own granite business...her whole house has granite. It is soooooo beautiful. I would much prefer it over Corian. (and knowing that I could probably get a good deal...what am I waiting for???? graemlins/crazy.gif A new house, that's what.)
Diana - Please don't be embarrassed to post your stats. I don't want to force you, you do it when your ready. But I really feel it's an accountability thing more than anything. You are facing it head on. In fact, when I'm done here I am going to change my stats....when I was off the gym for testing for that month, I put on a few pounds. So that 169 is not the right number. I did lose 1.5 pounds last week...but that brought me down to 171.
Carol - Did they make recommendations for my anxiety? "feel my feelings" LOL Something you say to people here on BCB. Let it all out and don't keep it all bottled up inside. I did...I cried and let DD know how I feel about her decisions. Hopefully all will calm down....but I doubt that in the near future, at least until the graduation party is over.
I hope that you will have a much better day today..... graemlins/kiss.gif
Jenn - I understand totally your view on Flex. I've always felt the same way. Only now I am going to give it a try for a couple of weeks and see how I do with it. You have to do what works for you.....
Well, off to the store for those hair pins.....
Have a great day everyone! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Hi everyone. I just read the thread for the week trying to catch up. Things have been a little crazy around here and now my truck is down and I had to have it towed to the mechanic on Thursday, he wont even look at it until Monday so I am walking everywhere for a few days. Not necessarily a bad thing. Just takes alot more planning. The cool thing is that I can do it! I was thinking how trapped I would be in this circumstance if I was still at my high weight. Begging for rides or arriving late and exhausted. Now- I am so used to walking it just seems normal. Takes longer but thats ok. Plus I get more AP! We have beautiful weather in front of us for the weekend and I am going to tackle yardwork (again); it never really goes away does it? I really want to get that darn fence painted. I have the brush and the paint, but first mowing, weedeating, pruning and planting. This morning I have a tanning appt so I am off (walking) to that. Have a great weekend ladies.

Oh Gawd Sandy, thats whats waiting for me when I get off of here. Mowing and spreading the weed kill. After WI, I gained btw, DH and I checked out the countertops. We're going the Corian route with built-in sink and installation. They have a sale and also knowing these guys, they're friends we're saving alot of dough. With the saved cash, I want nice hardware for the sink.
So, I gained from last month what I lost bf. I "get it" but apparently not well enough. And I had 13 FP to spare. graemlins/bcbkick.gif me 2x. I have to get this done. I will record each BLT, that has to be my achilles. Venting done, alright I gotta get outside.

HI Buddies, I'm back did my walk, got my lunch in and the kids semi fed. mr 2 ate a slice of cheese. Dh is going to a "nerd party" tonight (he's in computers) so I'll be home alone I thnk I'll work on getting me a movie to watch while on my stepper. My walk well, I got soaked! We started and it was cloudy but half way arround our first loop the buckets started. So 60minutes done but not 90:( I'll do that stepper with the movie and get me 35 more in, or not we'll see.
off to update my journal entry.
Sandy great to see you back

Hello ladies,
Just a quick check in to let you all know I've not fallen off the wagon, I've just been busy the past few days. Housework is calling my name today but I just had to pop on and say hello to you all. First week back to meetings and I lost 0.8 lbs. I'm thrilled with that as I had a wedding, Secretary's lunch, and dinner out with friends all in the same week! I also increased my activity this week too. As Kyoot says "I'm happy about ME" this week.
Tonight is dinner out with friends, tomorrow is a pot luck lunch with friends after church so it will be another busy day but they all are so nothing unusual there smile.gif
Take care all and have a great weekend.

Good evenning buddies,
Band day was fun. I haven't worked so hard in years! You know that soreness you can get if you overdo your first workout in a while (or do more than you're used to)? I'm probably going to have it in my face. VERY wierd feeling.
And I will be working this evening. I thought I got done yesterday eve. but no such luck.
Tomorrow I want to go to the train show. Dh and dd enjoyed it and dd won't mind going back.

Nancy the train show sounds like fun, I should look into one here for Dh he collects HO scale, I think I remember you saying you work in N scale? HA! on the workout cheeks, will this help your cheek bones?
Pam You go!!! house work is a good thing, for me it keeps me from walking to the fridge out of habit!

Good Morning GBTG Buddies! http://img14.photobucket.com/albums/v41/raidermombcb/toothbrush.gif
It's Sunday, SUNDAY, Sunday....[using tractor/truck poll announcer voice] :D
I went to the gym yesterday with great intentions....I was going to do my lower body workout and head on over to the treadmill to watch the hockey game and stay on the thing for 45 minutes. Well, when I asked if I could have the remote for the tv's the girl asked why..."we close at 5PM"....which was in 15 minutes. What gym closes at 5 on a Saturday!?! Oh well, I snuck in some bike time and they literally had to kick me off of it....LOL Today I know they close at 3 so I'm getting there a little early.
I think today might be the day for those sub buns....I have some minute steaks, mushrooms..and I can carmelize some onions...I think you're getting the picture. http://img14.photobucket.com/albums/v41/raidermombcb/yumyum.gif
I also have a recipe called "The Ultimate Banana Split" that I might make...it's with pudding, graham crackers, bananas, strawberries, and crushed pineapple. Good thing for those flex points...........
Sandlylee - Good for you taking life's lemons and making lemonade! You're probably getting some great exercise in and maybe, JUST MAYBE you won't even want that truck back when it's fixed. ;) I know, let's not push it.......
Cheryl39 - Recording every BLT is KEY! Trust me! (and a few other voices of experience)
Kyoot - New thread MONDAY morning. ;) Don't you throw my week off! LOL And the ballet pics were a little hectic, to be expected, but the had the costume for Sarah and she looked beautiful.
Pam - Glad to hear you're happy about YOU!
Nancy - Ok I'm confused....are you talking about band cheeks or workout cheeks as Kyoot says? If so, I remember..... If it's exercise, I REALLY remember...yes, it took me a good week to actually get used to the activity.
Ok everyone else....CHECK IN, WHERE ARE YOU??? http://www.dearbornheightsraiders.org/Fussbudget.gif

Good Afternoon Buddies graemlins/wave.gif
I am SO Glad to be back!!!
All three DS's were sleeping last night by the time we got back to my DH's aunt and uncles so we made a command decision (as it was only a little after 10PM ) to drive home. We arrived in our driveway at 1:15AM, but it was great to be able to sleep in our own beds. I hate going out of town and feeling like I am kind of at the mercy of others to eat what they have. I did do okay though. graemlins/thumbup.gif I only got a 1/2 mile walk in yesterday as that is all there was time for, but better than nothing. Today I am headed to the basement for a much longer workout and can hardly wait. We are home from church and the baby dedication went well. I have a lot of cleaning, and laundry to do today. I am going to try and sit down this evening and plan meals out for the week.
It sounds as if everyone is doing well. I can hardly believe that tomorrow is another new week. We have had so many posts this week. It is great to be able to check in and get so much inspiration. smile.gif
Have a great OP day everyone. I will be back later today. Gotta feed the troops!! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Good evening buddies,
We went to the train show and it was fun. They had lots of trains to look at, and stuff to buy. I got a book and watched a couple demos of how to build scenery. Dh got a couple new engines yesterday.
Cheryl, I was talking about being sore in the cheeks in my FACE. Not those other ones. And I am - I forget how many facial muscles are involved in playing a brass instrument, but they all know they got a workout yesterday.
Kyoot, yes our trains are N scale. Tiny trains. Time to get back to working on them.
I hope everyone had a great Sunday.

Hi Everyone,
I am so embarrassed that I haven't been writing for so long a time. I am in a constant battle with getting OP again. The desire is there but not the will. I start out great and fizzle by 10. I am wondering if this sounds silly, but I haven't been taking vitamin supplements or anything like that for months. And I have been struggling the whole time with feeling like I am starved. Could there be a connection? Has anyone experienced this? Also I get so confused trying to find where I posted last and who answered. Can someone give me some help. Thanks for all the posting that everyone does. It is good to know others are in the same struggle as me. Hope everyone has a good week. I love reading the posts.
